Thanks to all who came out yesterday to the finale. It unfortunate more couldn't make it. We had 19 people show up to take advantage of some prizes. The winners included;

After all the prizes and series points winners were taken care of we ate some wraps and subs from wegmans. I'm pretty sure no one went home hungry. Everything yesterday was paid for by one of the dollars that everyone paid every week.

Thanks to Barret, Osborn, Doug C. and Laufer for walking the shortened course and setting it up...Jason G. for helping pick up lunch...Todd B. for running some of the competition while we were getting lunch and to everyone who showed.

I had a great time running the show again this year. I think adding the iPad in there really streamlined the process and saved a lot of time. It was great to meet so many new players and see everyone's game improve. Also, a big thanks to the various people that helped me every week with cards, payouts, checking scores, etc., etc...I had different help all the time, but it was all necessary to keep things moving so people could get home at a reasonable hour.

I'll see you all next April....unfortunately I'm sure I'll see some of you many times before then too.

Next Sunday (10/13) at Clay will be the League Final, get together, whatever you want to call it. Get there as early as you want but at 10am the festivities will begin.

At 10am I'll hand out the series points winners. With 712$, I'll be paying 12 deep. The leaderboard is at:

After the series points we'll do some sort of throwoff for the remaining ace pool money. There is 72$ in there, and I'll add some to it to make it an even 80$. However I end up doing it, I'll pay out 20$ to 4 people. An ace at any point in the throw-off WILL NOT get you the whole pot. That ship sailed. If you came to league at least 1 night you are eligible for the throw-off.

After that business we can split up and play a round in whatever format people want to play, tags, best shot, throw in some cash for random draw, etc.

I'll be ordering lunch from somewhere and getting some beverages, so don't worry about that.

If people know they'll be coming and staying for lunch, just post it here, text me @ 315-415-3660 or email me at [email redacted], so I can get a rough idea on numbers.

Again, if you can't make it, I will get you whatever you are due. Don't sweat it. Sunday is just for fun.

Also, 1$ from each person, each week went to "course maintenance". Through this, 712$ was collected. I took 50$ from it for a sponsorship for the CNY Championships, leaving 662$. We still have about $200 left from last year as well. Some of the money from last year went to the benches on 6, 7, 10 and 13 at Clay as well as some various hole sponsorships for local tournaments.

Zack Parsell sandbagged me and landed in the C pool. He got teamed up with Spencer and they took the gold. First time in weeks Spencer didn't have a little pouty face. Matt Bailey came with the Faes clan and got teamed up with E-Mac. Lastly Jake Peters got to play with a Courbat. Clay brought out the crowds again. We had 43 people and the top spots were:

We scrambled together and got 3 back in the ground and Jason G had a practice basket in his car that we were able to use for the 4th. For a while it looked like it was going to be a short round (not Indiana Jones' li'l friend). Tammy from B'lo and Tait Kowalski were the newest additions. No playoffs for places this week, but the B pool CTP was so close that we did an extra throw for O'Malley and Gallagher with Gallagher taking it. 31 people showed and the top spots were:

This week I was able to get some people down in B pool, just be sure to check those cards so you know what pool you're in.

With this ace pool getting out of control, league managment had a meeting regarding it yesterday.

The ace pool will be capped at 300$. All cash above 300$ will be rolled over into the following ace. If someone aces on Wednesday, there will still be around 150$ in there for the next ace...It's more equitable for everybody.

Like last year, all remaining ace pool money will be shot off for at the league final on Sunday, October 13. Last year we had about 300$ and everyone present had at least 2 shots to win 50$. It worked out well.

I'm sure some people will diagree, but that's that.

We started a sudden death playoff starting from the practice area up to #1. Gary put it 25' out and nailed the deuce....Billy put it within 20' and the basket rejected his"perfect" put. Good thing there were no children around. Time are changing though, Billy only ranted for less than 10 minutes, then accepted he lost. 42 showed again and the top spots were:

Currently Crowley is in firm command of the points...however with 42 people showing up each night, he better not miss one. Ben is 30 points out, but within striking distance.

Congrats to Jason Shenendoah on his baby and Jarad and Lara for their upcoming nuptials this weekend. Exciting times for sure.

We have 2 more weeks at Oxbow, then off to J-ville. The first Wednesday in July will also be at Oxbow due to an event at J-Ville beach.

40 golfers showed up on a gusty night at Clay, including newbies Allen "Tex" Price, Ryan "Happy" Gilmore, and Matt Bailey's Irish Cream. We all drank the Kool-Aid and donated to the Eric McCabe pocket money fund, except for Doah, who benefited from a clerical error and ended up going from X-Man to McCabe's partner. CTP $ went to Ass-Man, Heart-Man and Oz-Man. Kudos to Clements, Sweet and Don Courbat for helping out. I'll let Doug update the Ace Pool, but we should be over $200 and counting.

Just when it looked like we'd only have 24 people, 7 showed up at the last minute despite the rain. Lucas West and Pat Hulle came out for their first night of league. It looked like it'd be a washout, but we only got a little light rain. A nice cool night for sure. The way the talent was distributed we just did A/B pool. Looking at the results, it seemed to work out fine. Laufer got the short end of the stick by being teamed up with the X-man with a hurting arm. All he said was, "at least I got a point".

What a turnout. A perfect day turned out a record crowd. 48 people came out for Wednesday league! With all the mayhem I may not have gotten all the new folks names correctly, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Francis (didn't get last name), John Buckley, Pam Murray, Reena Rowland, Dave Hartmann, Damion McDonald and Evan Willams all made it out for the first time. It was good to have Steve Ball and Sean Gallagher back as well. Audra has done pretty well for herself...2 times out with 2 W's! Nice shooting by Karl and Dylon as well. When there's a B/B team in the top 3, it tells me the system is working. We also had a 7 way tie for the last money position. It was getting late, so instead of any kind of throw off, everyone got enough money for half a gallon of gas.

Thanks for everyone's patience. With that many people with varying skill level there's always going to be people that I'd like to put in C pool moving to B, as well as B moving to A. People could always be shuffled around, but it's only moving the problem to another pool. We do the best we can with a new roster each week. Hopefully everyone understands this. Thanks Chris Sweet for helping with the cards and cash. We would have been there until 9 if I was doing it on my own.

Brad Bowman made it to his first league night and Tim Cartner who made it out a couple times last year joined us as well. A clerical error on my part led to a couple powerhouse teams...I promise that won't happen again. 32 people showed and the top spots were:

A perfect night at Jamesville Beach lured 39 golfers out on the first night of league. This number topped our biggest night last year, which was 38. A lot of new faces that hopefully we'll see more often. Thanks to Audra Zentner, Don Himes, Dean Needle, Dylan Reese and John O'Malley for coming out for their first time. Elias McQuaid made out a couple times last year, but it was good to see him back as well. Sorry he got teamed up with Barret. 3 of the new people got some cash, which is always a good thing.

We had a 2 way tie for first with Crowley/K.Bau and K.C./Audra shooting 46's. Crowley and Bauer took the top spot on a CTP shootout on #1. Crowley and tall brother Bauer also took the CTPs for 39$/each. The top spots were:
