Well the time has come to wrap up the first league I have ever run on my own. I want to thank everyone who attended and especially those loyal attendees this fall, I really appreciate it, because if turnout was low week after week I would have wondered what I was doing wrong. I expect low turnout from time to time because of location, weather, etc, but I sure hope that none of my rules, payout, or any other factor has kept anyone from coming back to my league. I want as many people to come as possible and hope everyone gets as much enjoyment playing in my league as I do running it.

As for this upcoming week on the 27th . . . there are some heated divisional races, so if you want a chance at a trophy or some more funny money, be sure to come out this week again, the points should be more plentiful this week than any other week, at least compared to the other 5 courses. I look forward to hitting or surpassing the 34 maximum attendance, and that is why I decided to hold off opening the new basket placements until the day of the league, in hopes people will be excited to see 7 new basket positions. Tell everyone you know to come out this week and play Discin' In The Dark . . . and be sure to let them know how much fun we have every week, regardless of our play!

Overall, I feel this league has run fairly smoothly. I never had any issues with people in the league, you all generally showed up with plenty of time to get the round started ON TIME, you were all very pleasant to deal with, and I think i did my part in being fair, on time, and organized. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT HOW THE LEAGUE WENT PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I WILL ONLY GET BETTER AS I DO MORE LEAGUES BUT WILL NOT ALWAYS SEE MY MISTAKES UNLESS YOU TELL ME, SO FEEL FREE TO LET ME KNOW HOW I COULD MAKE THE LEAGUE BETTER, WHETHER IT BE A GLOW LEAGUE SPECIFICALLY OR ANY LEAGUE FOR THAT MATTER.

I am happy to report I have plans to run a few more leagues and tournaments in the future and already have plans for 3 or 4 things (events or league) for 2013, so please stay tuned over the winter. I will be making the announcements as I see the Tour Schedule develop and as I weigh my options for league for 2013. Like I said from the beginning, I do not want to compete for players with other leagues, I want to try and work around already exisiting leagues if at all possible. When would you like to see me run a league??

While I am still not 100% on the idea of a winter league, I will make that decision in the next week or so. My main issue is that I will be going on vacation from Mid-January through mid-February and would hate to be away for 4 weeks during only my second league ever run, but if I found the right person to attend the missing weeks and run the league (YES . . .I WILL PAY YOU FOR YOUR TIME) I would be happy to do a league this winter.

Please be sure to vocalize your desire or lack there of for a winter league on Tuesday at some point. I will be running a poll on Facebook to judge interest too so be sure to like The Disc Golf Experience on facebook and follow along. I have found making announcements to be much easier on Facebook than anywhere else. If you want I will likely establish a list of emails also, so if you want to be 100% certain to hear about all of my events, leagues, product specials, etc please send me your email address. I will be compiling that list this winter and begin using it for 2013 events and such.

This week we saw only our second Ace in Discin' In The Dark by Dustin Skorupinski hitting #13 for $59 cash . . . Dustin is WINNING!

In the Open Division we saw Scott Slauson win again this week with a hot (-14). He also holds a 2.5 point lead (after the 4 weeks are dropped) going into the final week over Joel Kamoske (-9 for 2nd this week). . . assuming both Joel and Scott come to Valley View. This division could be determined by how many people play in Open next week. Want to play the spoiler role . . . then show up to Valley View next week Open Players.

In the Intermediate division Dustin Skorupinski rode his ace to a (-7) tying Jessie Miller. Jessie ended up taking the weekly win in a CTP after the round. As it stands right now Dustin holds a 1 point lead over me going into the final week which means if neither of us show up Dustin wins. If both Dustin and I play next week, I need to beat him to tie and have one person in between us to win. It is all going to depend on who throws hot on the new baskets at VV and how many people show up next week.

In the Recreational Division we saw a batte between Gary O. and Mike Ellery (Both -7's) again this week, which needed to be settled by a CTP playoff. Gary to the O. was able to bring home the divisional win tonight and also proudly sports his 1/2 point lead over Mike E. for the division. Greg Weber and JD Cottrill are sitting in a tie for third place (after the 4 rounds are dropped) so either one of them could end up in 3rd place for the season. While there will not be a trophy for 3rd place in this divison (because of lower attendance), I know that position would mean a lot to Greg Weber who has been steadily improving his game this Glow Season.

In the Unrated division we saw current 3rd place player Mark Olver win the week to gain another point on the person in second place. He sits only 3.5 points behind so if Bryan Staral does not show up, Mark Olver could easily slide into 2nd place overall but again, it is all dependent on how many people show up.

In the Women's Division we saw Brianna Welch make an appearance and tie with Loretta Ellery (+10). The points do not matter at this point unless we get the largest Women's field I have ever seen at a league next week, so I just let them split the points and it is always customary to split the cash also on a tie for the win.

Next week is Valley View and is the final week. I am going to talk to either Quaker Steak and Lube or BW3 and see if they are allright if I bring in all of my stuff for people to purchase with their funny money. If they are not ok with that, I will have to make it a point to be available at another time during the day so people can actually see what they are purchasing, or allow people to come to my house sometime and shop through my bins in my garage. I know it is a little unorthodox but with this being a glow league and me not having an actual store that is the best I can offer at this point. Of course as I said at the beginning the funny money vouchers do not expire so you can hold on to them until I have something in stock you really want. I plan to get accounts setup with Discraft, Innova, and MVP over the winter and I will be carrying a little bit of everyone's stuff along with custom shirts and other apparel also. If you have a request for something specific, please voice that request and if I can make it happen I will.

Thanks everyone who has attended this league. It has gone pretty smoothly for my first league and I appreciate everyones attendance. I look forward to bringing more fun leagues and tourneys over the next year and I look forward to when I can say "Hey everyone I just designed and installed a new disc golf course, you should go check it out" since that is the ultimate goal of mine as a disc golf business. Anything you can do to help me out in that cause please let me know. If you know anyone on a parks board or a school board who might consider a course on their property I would take any information I can to help me get my foot in the door somewhere. I am already actively seeking out people in the private realm who might be interested and I will keep you all informed if anything concrete comes along. Until then . . . Valley View will continue to receive my undivided attention since it is in need of work and a good presence. I have some plans for VV for 2013 and it will involve the need for some labor from time to time. If you are willing and able to try to make that course better, please pay attention for my workday announcements. We can always use extra hands and you might be surprised how fun it is to work at making a course better.

In the Open Division last week we saw Scott Slauson extend his lead over Joel Kamoske, but we also saw Marshall Black play some of his best Discin In The Dark Disc golf this week to take the weekly win. If we get a decent pro turnout on the last two weeks I expect just about any of those three gentlemen could win the division.

In the Intermediate Division Dustin Skorupinski and I remained tied overall because of the dropped rounds taking effect but Bob Bawden showed us what kind of Discin In The Dark he is capable of to take down the first place int he weekly event. Matt Atherton who has not been around the disc golf scene much in the last month also stepped in to take 2nd this week. We hope to see him back again!

In the Recreational Division we saw Mike Ellery win the playoff from the previous week with a CTP win before the round but Gary Obernberger took that point right back by beating Mike during the round which puts them in a dead tie for the season. It is going to be interesting.

In the Unrated Division we saw Keegan Wenzler extend his lead over Bryan Staral . . . who Keegan is trying to pursuade to come back to the league the last two weeks for the competition. Mark Olver has virtually assured himself of a top 3 place finish with his loyal attendance. It was nice to hand him the Vibram Lace disc from the CTP contest, since he has been coming to the league loyally.

We had no women this week but I expect to see Loretta return with the league in her backyard this week.

I look forward to seeing how these divisions play out in the next two weeks. The weather looks absolutely fantastic for this week and the final week at Valley View I expect another good showing because it is Valley View, but also because I plan to unveil the 8 new basket locations on that day. Be sure to come the final two weeks or you stand to miss out on a lot of excitement.

This week we look to challenge the original 18 holes at Dretzka . . . I will be there early to setup the glow sticks and hopefully we will have nice weather and I can setup all my discs and merchandise in the back of my truck for people to peruse what I have available. I would like everyone to check in before 6:20 so that we can get right out on the course by 6:30.

Last week we had a light turnout with 10 players, but we had one dedicated first time player Patrick who took an hour long bus ride and a 15-20 minute walk to Dretzka just to attend this league. He had called me the night before (still not sure how he came across my phone number but he found it) league asking if there were any leagues going on and I told him about this league, he said he would be there. I gave Patrick a "Disc Golf Experience" mini to thank him for his effort to attend this league.

In Open, Scott Slauson extended his lead with Joel not coming this week.

In Intermediate, I extended my lead over Dustin Skorupinski because he didn't come this week, although it likely won't matter because this week will likely be one of my 4 dropped scores.

In Recreational we saw Gary O and Mike Ellery tie and splitting the funny money, but they can play off for the extra point . . . which I highly recommend because they are both currently tied on the season.

In Unrated we saw Mark Olver bring home some more funny money by beating our new player Patrick.

We also saw Loretta come back after a few weeks off. Unfortunately, we just cannot seem to get more women to attend any leagues . . . apparently glow leagues are even less popular with the ladies.

I have moved up the start time to 6:30 PM for the rest of the league, because of daylight savings time ending and the fact that almost everyone should be able to make it by 6:30. If you have a conflict please let me know in advance and we might be able to work something out. We have two weeks at Dretzka, then Miniwaukan in Mukwonago, and finally we will wrap up at Valley View on November 27th.

This week we have the Alternate 9 at Dretzka and I will be playing a round beforehand to layout some alternate tees again, so that we are basically playing 18 unique holes.

The divisional races are all pretty tight, at least with the top 2 places. Remember trophies are based on the attendance of each division. 20 people come across the 12 weeks in a division there will be a trophy for 1st only. 40 people come across 12 weeks will warrant a 2nd place trophy, and 60 people will warrant a 3rd place trophy. If the attendance level is too low, the winner of the division will still get something to commemorate their attendance and loyalty, but it won't be a trophy, since it seems hardly worth celebrating beating only a handful of people across a 12 week season.

First I will wrap up last week and then get to notes about this week. I was disappointed we didn't have a better turnout this past week because it was Brown Deer and because it was just an eerie night. I wish I could have seen a lot more scores just for comparison. The new pin positions definitely add some challenge to an already tough course. I thought the conditions were almost as hard as the night we played at Miniwaukan, just in a different way. It was moderately cold, foggy, we could only see the glow sticks within about 150' of the basket so it sometimes made teeing off extra difficult. The humidity was about 100% and the threat of rain was still there (so I am sure some people stayed away). Our group even got to hear a Red Fox cackle at us, which was a little freaky.

In Open we only had 2 attendees again and this week Joel Kamoske bettered Scott Slauson by 1 throw. In Intermediate, I bettered my practice round (+18) by three throws to shoot (+15) which was just 2 thros better than Drew Retherford and Ben Habanek who were only 1 ahead of Dustin Skorupinski. Tight shooting this week everyone! In Recreational we saw just two players Gary O. and Greg Weber. Gary O. will take home this win this week and inch closer to Mike Ellery in the overall standings. In the Unrated division we only had Mark Olver show up . . . who is rolling in funny money the last few weeks!

This week is Estabrook and is week 8 of the 12 week season.

Since I did not hear from everyone who has been a regular attendee and this message is only 45 hours before league begins, I will allow split tee times this week . . . If you come early and get a 3 some or 4 some you can go out beginning at 6:30 . . . I will hang around until 7:00 to make sure noone gets left behind. We had a small turnout despite the wonderful conditions last Tuesday. It was about 45-50 degree, the wind was blowing about 20-30 MPH and the rain took like 3 hours to get from Madison to Mukwonago . . . and it began to rain just as we had our player meeting. We had 11 brave souls show up . . . and everyone ended up playing . . . perhaps the peer pressure of seeing everyone else who came still play. I know for me, I will play in just about anything . . . because I just love throwing the discs around.

Anyways . . . We had no Open players this week and we remain with zero attendance in the Advanced division.

In Intermediate we had two players . . . who also happen to be the top 2 players in the divisional standings . . . unfortunately with only 2 points available, even though I won by shooting a (-2) I will only get 2 points . . . and that will likely be one of my dropped rounds anyways. So much for making up ground on Dustin Skorupinski who shot a (+2) and remains int he lead by 5.5 points.

In Recreational we had JD Cottrill shoot a good round of (-1) bettering Mike Ellery and Larry Wright (both locals who both shot (+2).

In the Unrated division we had Mark Olver taking down his first funney money by shooting a respectable (+6) better Colin Huff with a (+9).

We only had one woman again this week and Loretta adds another point to her total by shooting a (+14).

The ace pool carries over AGAIN and at the ace friendly course of Valley View. I don't know about you . . . divisional points be damned . . . I am running at the aces! $72 plus whoever gets into the ace pool at Valley View.

Please plan to head over to Quaker Steak and Lube (why you ask . . . because I hate BW3) for a beer and an appetizer as we celebrate the halfway point of the first league I have ever run! While we didn't set a new record for league attendees, we still had a respctabl 20 people. Unfootunately, some of te guys from Dretzka leagues ended up playing Random Draw Doubles, and a few others I expected to be at league were not able to make it.

Again, there was no ace hit so the total is up to $65 now. If you have paid into the ace pool you have a vested interest in continuing to come to league so don't let the drive to Mukwonago next week keep you from coming to get yourself a glow ace.

In Open we had 4 people again and the only Open player who has been to every week Scott Slauson took down the week with a score of (-8), to extend his seasonal lead. Joel Kamoske took second on the week (-6) and also pulled into second for the season.

In Intermediate we had Dustin Skorupinski and Bob Bawden tie for 1st this week (-3), so they will either have to play that off for the points, or if they choose they can just leave that week in a tie. Greg Klein had his best showing (+1) this week getting 4 points and edging me out by 1 throw to take home the final funny money spot.

In Recreational we had Mike Ellery and Scott Smogoleski tie with a (+2), both taking home $3 and splitting the 3 points for the week unless they decide to playoff for the points. Mike extends his lead over Gary Obernberger who was unable to attend this week.

In the Unrated Division we tied a record with 7 people this week. The two people who have been to every week Bryan Staral (-2) and Keegan Wenzler (+4) both have some funny money coming and are extending their seasonal lead on the division. Chris Westling also played well (+2) and took second ont he week and newcomer Ian Corrado tied Keegan for a tie for fourth and gets a littlf unny money coming back to him.

In the Women's division we also had a newcomer Leah Pinkowsky show up with a very respectable round of (+14) for Dretzka.

Thank you to everyone who came out and I hope to see all of you at Mukwonago on Tuesday. I know it is a bit of a drive, but it was our next best option for a 6th course since Abendschein was closed. If you have not been to Mukwonago before I highly recommend it, it can be a fun course because it has some holes to just rip your drives as well as a lot of very mature Oak Trees to avoid. I enjoy the course a lot. I may set up tee areas away from the actual tees because many of the tees are just rutted out holes. If it was wet there might be a safety issue, but even if it is dry, some of those holes are really deep from overuse.

I scouted the course today and I know all of the pin positions. Even though the pin is short on #10, we will be throwing from the concrete tee on #11. I do not want someone hurting themselves on the rocky and gravelly tee up on the hill so we will be throwing from the concrete tee for consistency.

I am excited to see how many people we draw this week with Dretzka regular leagues being over. I expect record attendance for the 4th week in a row. I am excited with the attendance we have had, because I think there are a lot more people out there that would truly enjoy this league if they knew about it. Let's have a contest . . . I figured I would change things up since this would be the only 9 holes course we play for Discin In The Dark. I found some spots that I thought made really good holes. Every hole was shortened at least 10' and some up to about 50' shorter. I promise you I did not set the course up necessarily to my throwing strengths. What I did was pick a spot, put the flags in the ground, and then throw a practice shot or two to test out the lines . . . I didn't once adjust the tee area after throwing that shot because I was satisfied with the lines created. I felt I made things pretty fair for righties and lefties, flickers and backhanders. I picked the most fun and most fair shots I could while changing the hole up as dramatically as I could. WHAT DID YOU ALL THINK?

What do you think after you hear I shot Even on the first round but -5 on the second round?

Did you enjoy the alternate tees? Did they cost you strokes or did you make a bunch of birdies? Since I do not know how you all scored the order on the scorecard I cannot tell exactly how it went down, but I hope you all enjoyed the new looks at those holes.

In Open we saw our best attendance yet with 4 people. Scott Slauson got hot again and shot (-7) to take the win and Marshall Black showed up for his first week to shoot (-4) and take the second cash spot. Pete Parsons . . . I forgot to pay you out for your second place finish in week 2 so I will catch you the next time you show up (SORRY). Thanks to Joel Kamoske and Marshall Black for joining Pete and Scott in the Open Division even though you would qualify for Advanced. . . they definitely would prefer to have more competition.

In Intermediate we saw the point leader Dustin Skoupinski shoot a hot round of (-7) also and he extends his lead over me who shot (-5). Ben Habenek and Bob Bawden tied at (-1) to split last cash. Thanks to Kyle Sparrow for coming for his first week . . . we wish you had heard about the league sooner and hope you will continue to try and attend this league every week. Fortunately, you can drop your 4 worst point totals in this 12 week league season, so you can still compete for the seasonal win!

In Recreational, we had the wiley Veteran Mike Ellery throw a really solid round (-2). He actually shot a bogey free first round with 9 pars . . .and followed that up with 3 birdies in round 2 but his only blemish the whole night was a circle 4 on #2 when he flicked his Firebird across the road. I didn't verify this, but I wonder if it is possible that he grabbed the wrong disc (like when I grabbed a Whippet instead of a Leopard at Brown Deer). He is a pretty solid sidearm thrower but he turned that Firebird over and it never thought of coming back. Either way he had a great night that is for sure. Taking second was the guy who questioned if he was bagging it in Recreational Gary Obernberger with a (+1). Scott Smogoleski (+2) and Greg Weber (+3) were not far behind and will look to pressure Mike and Gary next week I am sure!

In the Unrated division we are starting to see where these guys would be best suited in terms of a rated division. After 6 weeks we will have a really good idea. I challenge them to move up to a higher division and try to compete with others of similar caliber if they desire . . . however it is not mandatory until after the season is over. We had Keegan Wenzler tie the hot round on the night (-7). He tied a 925 rated Intermediate player (Dustin S.) and a 970 rated Open player (Scott Slauson). Apparently he was putting really well tonight, and I will not punish a hot round by forcing someone to move up, but it is always an option for them to move into Intermediate, Advanced, or Open. Bryan Staral showed up with a pretty solid round (-2) for second place and necomer Trevor Caliebe shot a (-1) for third place. Pat Brah and Chris Westling tied at (E) to split the last cash spot.

In the Womens division we had the lone competitor Loretta Ellery show up again and just keep racking up points. I know of two women who wanted to come this week. Hopefully in the next week or two we will be able to recruit a couple other women disc golfers!

Thanks again everyone . . . but again no Ace was hit . . . the Ace Pool just keeps growing. $47 for week 4 on the original 18 at Dretzka that is setup fairly short right now!

We had a wonderful turnout for Week 2 of Discin In The Dark. I'd love to see those numbers keep improving and with Dretzka only having one more week, I imagine we might see really good numbers on October 2nd at Dretzka Park for the original 18 holes.

First let me thank Greg Klein, Bob Bawden, and any of the other regular helpers at Estabrook Park for the additional pin positions and all of the woodchips that got spread this summer. I really like the basket location on #4, it is unique and fun, and I really like how you were able to stretch out #6 to be a nice longer hole with a moderate hyzer line (something missing on many holes at Estabrook).

In this weeks action we saw an unrated player Josh Kernosky show up and want to play for cash so he played open . . . and won with a (-4). Pete Parsons who is an Estabrook regular showed up and shot a (-1) while Scott Slauson had a rough week with an (E).

In Intermediate we saw Dustin Skorupinski take the win with a (-4) which also tied the top Open score. He stretches his lead on the field . . . especially because he and Ben Habanek did their playoff from Week 1 and he also gained another .5 point for that playoff win. I played pretty well but had a very uncharacterisitcly terrible upshot from about 80' on #6. I have no idea what I did but it cost me a bogey and I finished at (-3), while Ben Habanek and newcomer Kevin Last shot (-2). Newcomer Grey Siech was only 2 shots out of the tie for 3rd and Estabrook regulars Greg Klein and Bob Bawden were right there too with (+1) and (E) respectively. That is encouraging that everyone int he flight was within 5 strokes of each other, which will make for great competition!

In Recreational we saw Gary Obernberger or as I like to refer to him as "Sancho" shot a very respectable (-3) and immediately asked me if he was bagging it in Rec. As I stated when I set up this league . . . it is all based on rating and noone will be forced to move from their division until their rating changes. I expect the others in that division to show Gary what they have next week on the Alternate 9 at Dretzka. Mike Ellery ended up in second with a (+2), and there was a 3 way tie at (+5) with JD Cottrill, Greg Weber, and Scott Smogoleski. I know you all can do better than that and you should all be good competition for each other the rest of the season! Aside from Gary, this would have been a really tight battle.

In the Unrated division we saw 3 new people show up along with Bryan Starl (-1) and Keegan Wenzler (+1). Ryan Zientek shot a (+13), Ryan Duffy had a (+18) and Mike Weiland had a (+19). I look forward to seeing you guys again and maybe at a different course to compare your skills against these same people.

We only had one woman competitor Loretta Ellery who had a (+16). Thanks for coming out Loretta, I hope we can draw a few other women out to some of these fun league rounds!

No ace was hit for the second week so the Ace Pool is built up to $27 heading into a course with a few potential ace opportunities.

We will be playing the alternate 9 at Dretzka and I might try and find some alternate tees so that we do not play the exact same holes. What do you all think? Play the same 9 twice or set up some alternate tees so shake it up a bit?

Brown Deer is a beast during the day . . . but it is a whole other species at night. I literally hit stuff 3' in front of my a couple of times because I could not see it. Live and learn I guess. A flashlight would have been helpful in that instance. I tried using my light up pen on occassion but it didn't always allow me to see everything.

In Open, Scott Slauson won the first ever Open Discin' In The Dark league round with a 58 (+4). . . something that will forever be a feather in his cap . . . even if he was the only person playing in that division.

In Intermediate we had 5 people play. Ben Habanek and Dustin Skorupinski tied with 60's (+6) and will need to settle that 1/2 point with a playoff somehow. I came in third with a 62 (+8) which funnily enough I shot the same score at Brown Deer on the prior saturday . . . DURING THE DAY . . . so I was pretty happy with my 62 in the dark. We also had a Panda sighting with Chris Dickerson and one of Estabrook's finest Bob Bawden. They both shot 65
(+11) and I expect to see Bob contend next week at Estabrook.

In Recreational we saw Mike Ellery shooting 74, just edge out Greg Weber with a 75, by just 1 stroke. I imagine that both players had multiple strokes they regret so this one could have gone either way. I look for Mike Ellery to have a strong showing at Estabrook since he is a lefty and he plays there fairly frequently.

In the Unrated division we had Bryan Starl and Keegan Wenzler show up to contend for the non PDGA member. Bryan got this win this week with a score of 64 (+10) that would have been right in the middle of the Intermediate division, while Bryan managed a score right in between Intermediate and Recreational. I hope to see you guys and more unrated players come to this league. Once we complete one round through the 6 courses we can pick a division that is suited towards your scores if you want, otherwise you can remain in the unrated division to contend for the seasonal win.

I am sure we will have many more people coming to league in the future. Dretzka league finishes on 9/25 so once that wraps up I imagine a lot of the Tuesday Night league regulars will begin to switch over to this glow league. I also magine since this league goes all the way into the end of November, many people looking for some competetive action will come too because most of the other leagues end in the coming weeks.

Thanks to everyone who came out, I cannot tell you enough how excited I am to be running some leagues and tournaments. I love the game and think I have some fun and unique ideas that I want to bring to the Milwaukee community. Bring your friends and lets make this a really fun league.

I forgot to mention here . . . that the Milwaukee COunty Sports Complex has been removed from the schedule and replaced with Dretzka Park. Two of the weeks at Dretzka will be the alternate 9 holes two times through and the other two weeks will be the original 18.

It may be over for this season but look forward to a bigger and better season in 2013. Remember this is the first league I have ever run completely. I want to thank Scott Slauson for his help over the season and his offering of letting us use the solar powered lights for the finale', Greg Weber for his $5 donation for extra lighting for the finale' which will also help pay for some of those solar lights from Scott Slauson to be used for future glow leagues and events. I also want to thank all my loyal attendees as well as those that I had met for the first time. I especially want to acknowledge these people for being so loyal that they came to 10 weeks of this 12 week season: Scott Slauson, Dustin Skorupinski, Gary Obernberger, Mike Ellery, Greg Weber, and Mark Olver . . . for your dedication you are all entitled to a Discin In The Dark Glow Mini of your choosing. I will keep them with me for the next few weeks so if/when I run in to you you can grab yourself a Mini to remind yourself of all the fun we had this season. I mean that sincerely, I really enjoyed running the league and everyone that came was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you all for being understanding on some of the issues we did encounter and knowing full well this was also my first league.

The ace pool was not cleared out this week, even though I thought it had been. The celebration everyone heard was a particular player making his first birdie on #14. He was not thrilled it took so long so he wanted everyone to think someone had aced. Well $21 for the rest of us . . . I am thinking about how to handle this ace pool money since I never clarifieid what would happen if there was money left over. It could be kept until Discin In The Dark for 2013 which I am completely fine with. It could be put into the next league which would be our winter league, but not everyone who plays in the fall glow league will be playing in the winter league. It could be split 50/50 with the courses and half of that money could be donated and the other half could be given away as a contest somehow. Please send me a message with an idea and if I like the idea I will make a decision, but for now I am tabling the decision. Either way that money will be accounted for and it will be distributed how it makes the most sense.

We did also raise $205 which is $1 per round to be spread amongst the courses we played. I am going to either make a cash donation or I will wait until there is enough money to go out and do a small landscape improvement project of some sort to each of these courses. I have the tools and equipment necessary to get this done and figured this was a better use of the money we raised than to just give a donation. I also think more money should be put into our courses for additional maintenance and not everything we raise as a club should go only towards putting in new courses.

Thanks again for a great glow season . . . I truly look forward to making it better in 2013. More and/or better lights, more people, more events possibly, more giveaways (if I can get some of the manufacturers to donate some stuff too).
