Chapter Seven: The Sdonalyasna of Alcantra
“The song sounded right... until it didn't.”
The hunters returned to Alcantra's long layout, joined by the new Hole 17 and Hole 18. Waiting among the trees were the Sdonalyasna, the mysterious people-stealers of Dena'ina legend.
They say the Sdonalyasna imitate birds and animals to lure victims closer. The trick is simple.
Everything sounds normal.
Until it doesn't.
And after what happened this week, there may have been more than birds being imitated.
???? A Tier — Justin Hears the Truth
While others followed strange sounds through the woods, Justin Foster seemed immune to the deception.
His incredible -10 earned a 1008-rated round, another elite performance in what has become an absurd run of high-rated golf.
Following behind:
Dave Rector — -5
Thomas Voight — -4
Isaiah Gall — -4
Jake Ratliff — -1
Morgan Leeds — -1
Justin wasn't just playing well.
He was playing like he knew exactly where the voices were coming from.
⚔️ B Tier — Something Isn't Right
The strangest story of the week may have come from B Tier.
David Griffin stormed through the course with a dominant -8, but witnesses reported something unusual.
Several players claim they saw the chains move to catch one of his putts.
Not a spit-in.
Not a lucky bounce.
The chains moved.
The Sdonalyasna have been known to lure victims with songs.
Nobody ever said they couldn't help a chosen hunter.
Behind Griffin:
Jeremy Ratliff — -7
Aaron Merideth — -3
Then there was...
Christopher Foley — +4
The Valley of Beasts would like to remind Christopher that disc golf is, in fact, the objective of the league.
Some observers have suggested a new hobby may be in order.
Following close behind:
Adam Fogelman — +5
Wayne Danjin — +6
Scott Bowen — +8
The woods were not kind.
???? C Tier — The Return of the Challenger
Larry Nunes — +3
Kevin Vacca — +4
Jerrin Fabrello — +9
The score may not show it, but the bigger story is Jerrin's return.
After injury, he's back and already talking about reclaiming the C-tier crown that once seemed firmly in his grasp.
The hunt isn't over yet.
❄️ D Tier — Still Standing
James Feldhausen — +9
Rheannon Fabrello — +10
While others chased monsters, these two simply survived another week in the Valley.
Sometimes that's enough.
???? Week 8 Preview — The Iliamna Lake Monster
Next week the hunt moves to Meier Lake — Long to Longs.
And yes...
Everyone already knows what's waiting beneath the surface.
The Iliamna Lake Monster.
For generations, fishermen have reported seeing something enormous moving beneath Alaska's largest lake. Nobody knows exactly what it is.
Only that it's there.
Watching.
Waiting.
And at Meier Lake, every disc that drifts too close to the water may leave players wondering...
Was that a bad throw?
Or did something move beneath the surface?
Two weeks remain.
Something is stirring below.

Chapter Six: The Kats of Alcantra
“The most dangerous beasts are the ones caught between two worlds.”
The hunt returned to Alcantra this week for a unique 20-hole layout, featuring the new Hole 1 and Hole 3. Waiting in the shadows were the Kats, the half-man, half-bear creatures of Tlingit legend.
The stories tell of Kaats, a hunter whose life became divided between two worlds. His choices eventually gave rise to the Kats—creatures possessing the strength of bears and the cunning of men.
This week felt much the same.
Players faced decisions on every fairway. Attack or play safe. Run the putt or settle for par. Trust aggression or trust patience.
Some choices led to birdies.
Others created monsters.
???? A Tier — Morgan Claims the Hunt
When the dust settled, it was Morgan Leeds standing atop the mountain.
Fresh from his winter hibernation, Morgan continued his resurgence with a strong -9, claiming the A-tier victory and proving he's once again a force in the Valley.
Not far behind was a hungry pack of contenders:
Jake Ratliff — -8
Isaiah Gall — -7
Justin Foster — -5
Kelly Allen — -2
Thomas Voight — -2
But buried within those scores was one of the week's most interesting stories.
The Ratliff family came within a single stroke of something remarkable.
Jake's -8 was better than both Jeremy's winning score in B-tier and Jax's winning score in D-tier. Had Morgan not fired a -9, the Ratliffs would have captured A, B, and D Tier all in the same week.
One stroke.
One beast standing in the way.
Morgan Leeds may have prevented one of the greatest family takeovers the Valley has ever seen.
⚔️ B Tier — Jeremy Leads the Charge
While Morgan defended A-tier, Jeremy Ratliff took care of business in B.
His -6 was enough to claim the division and continue the Ratliff family's push toward Valley domination.
Following behind:
Christopher Foley — -3
Alex Strawn — -2
Aaron Merideth — -2
Rodney Stepp — -1
Scott Foster — Even
Elijah Allen — Even
Scott Bowen — +2
The battle for B remains one of the tightest in the league, with no player able to separate themselves for long.
???? C Tier — Larry Finds the Right Path
The Kats may have been trying to lead players astray, but Larry Nunes wasn't fooled.
His -1 was the only under-par round in C-tier and earned him the division win.
Also navigating the maze:
Tae Voight — +2
Wilson Jennings — +5
Kevin Vacca — +5
The middle divisions continue to improve every week as players learn to survive the Valley's growing collection of beasts.
❄️ D Tier — Jax Completes the Family's Strong Week
The youngest Ratliff carried his part of the burden.
Jax Ratliff claimed D-tier with a +4, giving the family victories in two divisions and nearly helping secure three.
Joining him in the hunt:
Kristen White — +5
Rheannon Fabrello — +7
James Feldhausen — +8
The sweep never happened.
But the Ratliffs made sure everyone noticed how close it came.
Week 7 Preview — The Sdonalyasna
Next week the hunt returns to Alcantra's long layout, with the new Hole 17 and Hole 18 joining the challenge.
Waiting there are the Sdonalyasna.
Dena'ina stories tell of strange fur-covered beings that imitate voices and songs to lure victims away. They look almost human... but something is always slightly off.
After this week's near Ratliff takeover, some are beginning to wonder.
Jeremy wins B.
Jax wins D.
Jake nearly wins A.
Coincidence?
Or have the Sdonalyasna already arrived in the Valley wearing familiar faces?
If you hear something calling from the trees next week...
listen carefully.
The song may not be quite right.

Chapter Five: The Keelut of Peters Creek
“The tracks were there... until they weren't.”
The hunters entered the forests of Peters Creek this week, leaving the open fairways behind for a maze of trees, hidden lines, and uncertainty.
It is said the Keelut roams places like this.
A ghostly dog spirit with backward feet. Hunters who follow its tracks often discover too late that they've been heading the wrong direction all along.
And judging by some of the scores this week...
The Keelut was definitely out there.
????️ A Tier — Thomas Finds the Right Trail
While many players found themselves lost among the trees, Thomas Voight seemed to know exactly where he was going.
His -9 led the field and conquered one of the most unforgiving layouts of the season.
Close behind:
Isaiah Gall — -8, continuing one of the strongest Valley of Beasts campaigns so far.
Kelly Allen — -5
Morgan Leeds — -5
Scott Groves — -4
Then came the forest's victims:
Dave Rector — +2
Martin Molodih — +4
Levi Rowland — +7
Some players followed the trail.
Others followed the Keelut.
⚔️ B Tier — Bozone Hunts Alone
The woods belonged to Andrew Bozone this week.
A commanding -6 earned him the B-tier victory and one of the strongest rounds of the day.
Behind him:
Aaron Merideth — -1
Adam Fogelman — Even
Scott Bowen — +1
Aaron Richardson — +4
Peters Creek rarely rewards aggression. Patience wins here.
???? C Tier — Lost in the Forest
The Keelut seemed especially active in C-tier.
Larry Nunes — +4
Wilson Jennings — +6
Kevin Vacca — +8
Every tree looked the same. Every fairway seemed to bend somewhere else.
❄️ D Tier — Still Standing
Rheannon Fabrello — +16
The forest was unforgiving, but Rheannon once again fought her way through it.
At this point, survival is becoming its own kind of victory.
Week 6 Preview — The Kats
Next week the hunt returns to Alcantra, playing the red layout with the addition of the new Hole 1 and Hole 3, creating a unique 20-hole challenge.
Waiting there are the Kats.
Tlingit stories tell of Kaats, a hunter who lived between two worlds—one human, one wild. His choices led to the birth of the Kats, half-man, half-bear creatures that ultimately turned on their own father.
The Kats are said to carry both the cunning of man and the power of the bear. Neither fully human nor fully beast, they belong to neither world.
At Alcantra, players may find themselves facing the same struggle.
Do you play aggressively and risk everything?
Or play it safe and watch others pass you by?
One bad decision can change a round.
One choice can create a monster.
Five weeks remain.
The Valley of Beasts grows darker.

Chapter Four: The Ircenrraat at Alcantra
“You saw where it landed... didn't you?”
The Valley returned to Alcantra this week, home to fairways players know by heart.
Or so they thought.
According to Inuit legend, the Ircenrraat—the Little People—love confusion. They move tools, hide equipment, and lead travelers astray. They're never seen directly, only through the chaos they leave behind.
After this week's scores?
Nobody can convince me they weren't out there.
Perfect drives suddenly found trees.
Great upshots rolled fifty feet farther than they should.
Birdie putts somehow became pars.
And a few players seemed to have the Little People helping them instead of hurting them.
???? A Tier — Aaron Finds the Hidden Path
While everyone else fought the tricks of the Ircenrraat, Aaron Merideth seemed to have made a deal with them.
A scorching -11 led the field and left the rest of A-tier chasing footprints.
Following closely:
Isaiah Gall — -9, continuing his incredible Valley of Beasts run.
Kelly Allen — -8
Patrick Phelps — -8
Thomas Voight — -8
Morgan Leeds — -8
Five players tied at -8 or better. The battle at the top is becoming absolutely ruthless.
Meanwhile:
Jake Ratliff — -4
Mason Minturn — -4
Both survived the mischief, but not without a few stolen strokes along the way.
⚔️ B Tier — Foley Finds the Little People's Treasure
The Ircenrraat may have been helping Christopher Foley this week.
A strong -8 earned the B-tier victory and tied several of the A-tier contenders.
Close behind:
Alex Strawn — -7
Andrew Bozone — -7
Scott Bowen — -5
Jeremy Ratliff — -5
Aaron Richardson — -4
Then there was:
Wayne Danjin — +5
If anyone saw tiny footprints around Wayne's discs, now would be the time to mention it.
???? C Tier — Resisting the Mischief
The Little People were busy in C-tier as well.
Kevin Vacca — -1, becoming the only C-tier player to beat the course this week.
Ettore Fistarol — +1
Wilson Jennings — +3
Kevin continues to improve every week, and after his first sanctioned event only a few weeks ago, the progress is becoming impossible to ignore.
❄️ D Tier — The Survivors of Alcantra
Jax Ratliff — +1, continuing a very strong Valley of Beasts campaign.
Rheannon Fabrello — +5, once again showing up and battling through another week.
The Little People may have caused trouble, but they couldn't keep these two from finishing their rounds.
Week 5 Preview — The Keelut
Next week the hunt moves to Peters Creek, deep in the forests of Chugiak.
Waiting there is the Keelut—the ghost dog of Inuit legend, known for its backward feet and its ability to lead travelers astray.
In the woods of Peters Creek, one bad kick can send a disc deep into the trees. One missed line can leave you searching longer than you'd like.
You may think you're following your disc...
Only to discover you've been tracking the wrong trail all along.
Five weeks remain.

Chapter Three: The Qalupalik Beneath the Lake
“Some things wait beneath the surface…”
The hunters of the Valley arrived at Meier Lake this week, and the water was calm.
Too calm.
The legends tell of the Qalupalik, a creature lurking beneath northern waters, waiting patiently for the careless. It doesn't chase. It doesn't roar. It simply waits for a mistake.
And at Meier Lake, mistakes were everywhere.
One bad tree kick. One missed putt. One disc drifting toward the water.
Then suddenly...
You're under.
???? A Tier — Jake Escapes the Depths
While others struggled against the pull of the lake, Jake Ratliff emerged from the water victorious.
A strong -7 earned him the top spot in A-tier and perhaps his biggest win of the season so far. The Qalupalik reached for him, but he slipped away.
Close behind:
Kelly Allen — -6, continuing his relentless pursuit of the top.
Morgan Leeds — -6, proving his winter hibernation is officially over.
Thomas Voight — -5, steady as ever.
Killian Flannery — -5, continuing his impressive appearances whenever he enters the fray.
The top card remains absolutely loaded.
⚔️ B Tier — Staying Above Water
The lake claimed plenty of victims, but Christopher Foley managed to stay afloat.
His -5 led the division and matched some of the best scores of the day.
Following close behind:
Jeremy Ratliff — -3
Rodney Stepp — -1
Alex Strawn — Even
Adam Fogelman — +3
The Qalupalik doesn't care how well you've been playing lately. One mistake and you're swimming.
???? C Tier — The Water Gets Deeper
The middle divisions found little mercy.
Kevin Vacca — +3, continuing to gain experience and confidence.
Wilson Jennings — +5
Larry Nunes — +6
Jon Rhine — +9
Some escaped with scratches.
Some were dragged deeper.
❄️ D Tier — The Survivors
Jax Ratliff — +8, continuing to lead the charge in D-tier.
Rheannon Fabrello — +10, proving once again that persistence matters more than perfection.
The Qalupalik feeds on panic.
Neither player gave it much to work with.
???? Week 4 Preview — The Ircenrraat
Next week the league returns to Alcantra.
But players should watch their discs carefully.
The creature waiting there is the Ircenrraat — Alaska's legendary Little People.
Mischievous. Invisible. Infuriating.
They're known for hiding tools, moving equipment, confusing travelers, and leading hunters astray.
At Alcantra, they may have found a new hobby:
You throw the perfect drive...
...and somehow your disc is 100 feet somewhere else.
Bad kicks. Strange rolls. Disappearing birdies.
The Ircenrraat are waiting.
Three weeks down.
Seven remain.
And the Valley is only getting stranger.

Chapter Two: The Nantinaq Stirs
“Some creatures don’t announce themselves. You just realize… they’ve been following you.”
Week 2 brought the hunters of the Valley into Whispering Doakes, home of tight fairways, strange shadows, and enough trees to make you question every line. The wind rolled through the woods all afternoon, carrying whispers through the branches.
And with it came Nantinaq.
Alaska’s version of Bigfoot. Massive. Silent. Watching from the tree line. Some say you hear branches snapping before you see him. Others say if you do see him... it’s already too late.
With the wind swirling through the course, players weren’t just battling Doakes.
They were battling the beast.
???? A Tier — Frank Tracks the Monster
For the second week in a row, Frank Costales looked less like a player and more like a creature from legend.
After last week's 1016-rated slaughter, Frank followed it with another dominant -9, proving Week 1 wasn't luck. The beast is still hunting.
Following his trail:
Mason Minturn — -6, emerging from the woods with one of the strongest rounds of the day.
Thomas Voight — -5, steady as ever.
Patrick Phelps — -4
Jake Ratliff — -4
Kelly Allen — -3
Justin Foster — -2
Doakes made everyone earn every birdie. The wind showed no mercy.
⚔️ B Tier — Shapes Moving Through the Trees
Only a few escaped the woods untouched:
David Griffin — -4, leading B-tier and surviving Nantinaq's territory.
Alex Strawn — -3
Christopher Foley — -3, keeping pace despite the wind.
Jeremy Ratliff — -1
Aaron Richardson — +1
Adam Fogelman — +4
Scott Bowen — +7
Some players found birdies.
Others found trees.
???? C Tier — Strange Footprints
Deep in the woods, things got weird:
Jon Rhine — +1
Ettore Fistarol — +2
Wilson Jennings — +9
Larry Nunes — +9
Rumors spread after the round that large footprints were spotted near the rough…
Probably nothing.
❄️ D Tier — Escape the Forest
Andrew Belanger — +6, surviving the woods better than anyone in D-tier.
James Feldhausen — +9
Jax Ratliff — +13
Rheannon Fabrello — +15
Not everyone escapes Nantinaq cleanly.
???? Week 3 Preview — The Qalupalik
Next week we head to Meier Lake — Short to Shorts.
And beneath the water waits The Qalupalik.
The creature beneath icy waters.
The thing that drags the unwary under.
Miss your line at Meier...
…and something might pull you into the depths.
Two weeks down.
Eight remain.

Chapter One: The Adlet Awakens
“Not man. Not wolf. Something in between…”
The first chapter of The Valley of Beasts has begun, and the legends wasted no time. Ancient stories tell of the Adlet—half-human, half-dog creatures of Inuit lore, savage pack hunters roaming the Arctic wilderness. Fast. Relentless. Merciless.
This week, they arrived at Alcantra.
And judging by the scores… some players may already be among them.
???? A Tier — The Pack Leader Emerges
One creature stood above the rest.
Frank Costales didn't simply win Week 1—he hunted. A vicious -13, good for a 1016-rated round, tore through the field and immediately etched itself into Valley of Beasts history.
The Adlet found their alpha.
Right behind the beast:
Naz Munoz — -10, stalking close behind.
Thomas Voight — -9, the ancient hunter remains dangerous.
Dave Rector — -8, moving through the trees like a predator that never panics.
Isaiah Gall — -7, quiet... watching.
Jake Ratliff — -6
Kelly Allen — -4
Patrick Phelps — -3
Week 1 and A-tier already feels like a war for survival.
⚔️ B Tier — The Hunt Below
The Adlet travel in packs... and B-tier looked exactly like one.
Jeremy Ratliff led the charge with a powerful -9, ripping through the course and showing he intends to climb.
Close behind:
Aaron Richardson — -6
Rodney Stepp — -5
Andrew Bozone — -5
Adam Fogelman — Even
David Griffin — +1
Scott Foster — +4
Christopher Foley — +6
Something looked off with Foley this week. Maybe the Adlet got to him first.
???? C Tier — Strange Tracks in the Woods
The middle of the Valley always holds mysteries:
Jon Rhine — +1
Wilson Jennings — +3
Larry Nunes — +4
Ettore Fistarol — +5
Stephen Sarantopoulos — +11
The whispers say some players heard movement beyond the tree line. Others claim they saw eyes watching from the rough.
No proof.
Yet.
❄️ D Tier — The Survivors
Jax Ratliff — +5, leading D-tier and escaping the hunt.
Carrie Foley — +7, surviving the wilderness.
James Feldhausen — +13
Rheannon Fabrello — +16
Not everyone escapes the Adlet untouched.
???? Week 2 Preview — Nantinaq
Next week the league heads to Whispering Doakes, and the legend grows larger.
The creature waiting there is Nantinaq…
Alaska's terrifying version of Bigfoot.
Massive footprints. Broken trees. Strange noises from the woods.
And Whispering Doakes?
Honestly… feels like exactly where he'd live.
One week down.
Nine to go.

The snow has melted.
The daylight lingers longer over the Mat-Su Valley.
But something ancient has awakened beneath the thaw.
Deep in the forests beyond Alcantra… beyond Whispering Doakes… beyond the frozen waters of Meier Lake… the legends are stirring once again.
For ten weeks, the Valley becomes hunting ground and battlefield alike.
Every round, a new creature emerges from the shadows.
Every fairway hides another trial.
The chains will echo through the wilderness as warriors clash beneath dark skies and cold winds.
Thomas Voight emerges from the shadows like a silent predator, cold and relentless.
Justin Foster waits deep in the wilderness, where one mistake can cost everything.
Frank Costales stalks the ace lines with something unnatural in his eyes.
Kelly Allen commands the storm itself, bending chaos to his will.
Alex Strawn stalks the Valley with the patience of a mountain predator, silent through the early rounds before striking when the pressure begins to break everyone else.
Christopher Foley returns to the Valley carrying scars from battles long past, searching for one more war beneath the chains.
Marshal Morris moves through the trees like a phantom, appearing only when the pressure is greatest.
Naz Munoz watches from the darkness, patient and calculating.
Allen Black feels less like a competitor and more like something the Valley created itself.
Rodney Stepp survives every storm the wilderness throws at him, no matter how brutal the conditions become.
Aaron Richardson walks the fairways like a hunter tracking prey through the fog.
Adam Fogelman grows stronger every week, as though the Valley itself feeds him power.
Patrick Phelps lurks at the edge of every card, quiet and unreadable, striking without warning like a creature waiting beneath still water.
Jeremy Ratliff marches into the Valley like an old war beast awakened from hibernation, dragging experience, power, and chaos behind every throw.
Jake Ratliff moves through the woods with reckless fury, the young blood of the Valley hunting giants before he’s even learned fear.
Rheannon Fabrello wanders the fairways like a ghost in the fog, calm and unshaken while the darkness closes around everyone else.
Carrie Foley returns to the Valley once more, rising from the shadows after a long absence, carrying unfinished business and colder determination than ever before.
Jon returns to the Valley looking less like a man and more like some tall nightmare pulled from the trees themselves — all limbs, silence, and endless reach, like Slenderman stalking the fairways at dusk.
Wilson Jennings drifts through the Valley like a forgotten woodsman cursed to wander forever, emerging from the trees only long enough to unleash chaos before disappearing back into the darkness.
And somewhere in the distance…
the chains still echo.
Some say the creatures haunting the Valley are ancient Alaskan legends.
Others believe the real monsters have been playing here all along.
Every round is another descent into the unknown.
Every throw pushes deeper into the wilderness.
Some players will survive.
Some will become legends.
And some…
will become beasts themselves.
Welcome to The Valley of Beasts.
