No updates? No photo of current PayPal balance? No money received to Gem Discs. While I’m trying to give you the benefit of the doubt and hoping you’ve been working to correct this. It’s not looking good. If this is a scam I’m guessing the next “update”
Is to say you accidentally sent money to the wrong PayPal account. The following step would be to say you tried working with PayPal to return the money but can’t now and it’s gone. All the while never show the PayPal balance of where it went to. But I would absolutely love to be proved wrong in this.

Just got text from Orbital Creations asking if anyone has received trophies. I have not nor have I heard of anyone else getting trophies. He said he shipped week and half ago and is still owed $500. Alex has not responded to any of my texts for about a week. Some kind of transparency.

November 1st you told everyone they would be paid in 72 hours. People initiated refunds when those 72 hours were up. You don't get to use people initiating refunds as an excuse for not having payments out before the 72 hours were up.

I'm not sure who that was, please message me about it. The only ones who haven't "been paid out", were ones who did not use their scrip at the event last year when I was vending. I told them to reach out and I would help them get scrip handled and even offered to order something in if i didnt have it, and a majority reached out and used their scrip with no issues. The few who didn't I offered to just get gift/scrip cards once I finish handling this fiasco.

Hey Don! Currently working, I saw your email I was just waiting until getting home from work to respond. Paypal is slowly releasing transactions (120 each time, 2-4x a day) and im getting everything out as quickly as I can. Unfortunately they didn't have it all released by Tuesday like they had said, but progress is being made with them releasing it transaction by transaction. Hang tight, we are almost through this. Nicholas, I have never once said 180 days. The reason why they locked is due to it being a brand new account and getting that amount of funds in/out so quickly. They were investigating it because that amount on a new account is considered "suspicious". I have literally spent close to 20 hours on the phone with paypal over the last 3 weeks, and after the 1st, finally spoke with a "higher up" vs just a desk agent, and got things moving actually. You believe you know what's going on, but refunds/transactions were disputed, I approved them, and still have them showing as pending because DGS shows the event as over (aside from results being added). Im sorry you feel this way, but your not fully informed. We ran into this same issue a few years back during covid with a new club paypal for our winter series.

Hey there, I did post regarding the results, there are 6 refunds stuck in the paypal funds as well, I can't remove them from DGS until refunds clear, and I cannot add the results until those teams are removed. I have been pretty up on updating almost daily with the situations as much as I can, as mentioned in the message to you, your email was returned to me as an undeliverable address, meaning the email provided on dgs for you isnt correct from what i can tell, and im happy to screenshot that if you feel it's not true. Ive sent mass emails, and posted on the ISDC FB page consistently, as well as on other posts that popped up. I apologize if you have not seen those, I have been doing what I can with the situation given.

This is the recent post from yesterday, including all previous updates: Hello all,

Sending another mass email to all winners with the latest update, as well as previous updates for those that have missed them. Please feel free to respond to this email with any questions. I am trying to keep everyone updated as much as possible to avoid anymore confusion or wrongful accusations.

9/26:

I submitted a line of credit to cover this all until PayPal can figure things out. I want to get you all taken care of and I truly appreciate the patience from everyone so far. This whole ordeal has been a learning experience, as well as a mental drain on myself. I am doing everything in my power to get this handled as quickly as possible. PayPal still has the funds on hold, I cannot get a straight answer from them and keep getting the run around. Hence why I pushed for the line of credit to solve this faster, and just handle the line of credit once PayPal unlocks everything.

All Pro/Coed payouts are ready to process once the above options clear, and all AM payouts are ready to go to Gem Discs and have codes sent out to respective winners once the above options clear. Gem Discs is offering the 15% discount, which will go back into am payouts, and will increase all AM payouts significantly.

Refunds will be processed as well as soon as one of the above options clears. Once refunds are processed, I will be able to remove those players from the list, and update DGS with results.

Trophies are getting the final touches and should be out to me any day, once they arrive I will reach out individually to respective winners to either mail, or personally deliver trophies.

Again, this whole PayPal snafu has been a massive damper on an otherwise fun event, and I cannot express how terrible I feel for overlooking the effects of using a new PayPal account. My end goal was just to separate the events I run, from my personal PayPal, and have an easier time when tax season hits (I pay taxes on all tournaments/events I run). I have been tirelessly trying to solve this problem and get everyone taken care of as quickly as possible, Meanwhile some posts were made regarding this ordeal, Which immediately got myself banned from the groups that were posted in and cannot see or respond to said posts. Some have mentioned this is a fraud case, some have threatened other things, but rest assured none of that is the case. I've dedicated 15 years to the Disc golf community, pouring countless hours of labor, time, and even my own money into the community, and wouldn't ruin my reputation over anything being mentioned. Yes, I fully understand the frustration on waiting for all of the payouts, and as previously mentioned, I take the full blame for my mistake in using the new PayPal. However, Please understand that reaching out, versus blasting me and assuming the worst, is a better solution in the long run. I have been on top of responding to everyone possible, and keeping everyone updated to the best of my ability. This will get handled ASAP when either the credit clears, or PayPal does.

Again, thank you all for attending this event, I'm sorry if it left a sour taste in your mouth due to unfortunate circumstances, But please remember I am doing my best to solve this all on the fly.

Paypal did not call me back last night, I will make one more attempt to call them on my lunch break and get this figured out. If they cannot get it done, I will be getting a line of credit set up to take care of all of this sooner than waiting on paypal to fix it. I waiting until this morning to see if the weekend had anything to do with it, and everything is still locked. I have been on the phone all morning with paypal while I'm working and trying to figure out what the heck is going on and why they haven't been released and im just getting the run around/being on hold. I know you all are getting upset and I cannot express how terrible and stressed I am over this minor mistake I made with using the fresh paypal account. I will send out another update when I get done on the phone with paypal.
If paypal cannot figure it out in time today, I will pull my own credit line to cover everything, and just pay it off when paypal figures this out finally.
Shaun C with Gem Discs has everything set to go for scrip, once either paypal clears or i pull the line of credit to cover things. He was out of town for the weekend and I was hoping it would clear, and he'd be back for it all to go out smoothly. Obviously not the case.
Trophies will be on the way and ready to go out, I will either bring them personally to winners, or mail them if you need.
Refunds are also part of the locked paypal amounts, and will be sent as soon as it clears/I get the line of credit.
Again, you all do not know the stress, and emotion I'm dealing with regarding this whole mess, but rest assured I will make sure you all are taken care of as I'm working constantly to figure this out. Hey all again,
Updating everyone here, as well as a mass email and posts in respective places.
I was hoping paypal would clear the funds quicker than the 72 hours they told me, but it looks like they will take it out to the full 72 hours, which is around midnight tonight.
Gem discs offered the 15% discount on scrips, which will reflect in the payouts. Shaun from GD is out of town/service for this weekend, but I have the winners emails ready to go for him and he will get those codes out immediately upon getting back. As for open/coed divisions, your cash winnings will be paypaled to your original sign up accounts. Please watch for those over the next 24hrs. Refunds will push through once they release, and then the results will be added to DGS (once refunds push through and are removed from the player list).
Again thank you everyone for the patience as I handle this issue, and again I apologize for my lapse of judgement with using the new paypal account.
After this is complete, I will be talking with some people regarding handing the event off to them. I love running this event yearly, however the combination of running events, leagues, and more, I cannot commit the time to this event like I would like to. I appreciate everyone who played, helped, and supported this event the last two years. Much love to you all.

Hey all,
Some of you have heard the update, some have not. I will be posting this in respective posts, as well as via a mass email.
I made the mistake of using a new/fresh paypal account for this year's event, and due to that paypal has been holding the funds. This last week my cold developed into pneumonia, and it knocked me down for a few days so I apologize for my lack in communication. I spent 4 hours on the phone with paypal to get this sorted. And they will be releasing the funds within 72 hours, and will be increasing my monthly limit from 500 to 7500 to accommodate for this mishap.
Gem discs reached out regarding running scrip, and offered a 15% discount, which will fold back into payouts. I was going to just get scrip at Cost through infinite due to them not responding about the previously offered discount, but with Gem Discs stepping up, we can add some extra into payouts! We will be finalizing that over the next day and getting codes out to all the amateur teams.
For trophies, they are being finalized and sent to me, then I will reach out and either mail, or meet up with anyone who won a trophy.
Again I apologize for my lack of judgment when using the new paypal account, as well as my lack of communication this last week. Thank you all for your patience, and hang tight! I'm solving this as it's happening.

Hey there, I made the mistake of using a new paypal account for this event, and I spent 4 hours on the phone with paypal yesterday. They have my account due to it being fresh, and they are holding the fund/flagging any transactions. After getting them on the phone, funds will start being released and codes for scrip will start going out shortly. I apologize for my lapse in judgement regarding the paypal ordeal. Trophies are getting finished up and sent to me, then I will also reach out to either mail, or meet up for them.
