League upgrades and maintenance had helped turn this course around. Has a mix of wooded and open field holes that make it a great course for the area
Great course. Lots of elevation changes and death putts. Hole 15 is one of the coolest holes in the state. Also hole 3 from the Longs is breathtaking. Going down a huge sledding hill into a beautiful ...

Great course, very challenging and a workout. For metro Detroit, the elevation is akin to the Tobaggon at Kensington. My only complaint is that the first tee box would've been literally impossible to find, if not for a few dudes that directed me. Other than that, awesome!
First time at Cass Benton and it was a blast! Had the great fortune to run into Mike a local who plays Cass as his home course. Note: Mondays are league day, you can still play but every hole has a wa ...

Solid course, but nothing special. With all the good courses in Michigan I would never drive out of my way to play this course. However, if you are in the area, Cass is an enjoyable enough round of golf
This course could use some maintenance. The baskets that still have signs at the T's are all covered in graffiti. About 70% are wooded shots, many baskets blocked by trees. Concrete tee pads at long ...

This course is one of the less fortunate of the courses near me. It's not a bad course but make sure you head up there at 10am or you will be stuck behind the casuals. This course hasn't been kept up ...

Couldn't agree more with Eirik Kaserud -- this could be an A+ if it was maintained. Lots of casuals play this course because it's free, but the holes are well laid out with good variety. Three nice do ...

i am sure this was a nice course when it was put in around 1999 i think. but now it is a zoo, vandalized joke. can still play it and it is fun but it so needs some park love and maintenance.
Cons: Over crowded much of the time. Lots of broken glass and garbage. Large groups choke the course.
If this course was picked up and maintained I would say an A+.
Great course. One of my favorites. Good mix between wooded and open holes. It can get pretty crowded, but as long as you go sometime before 11am, waiting between holes shouldn't be a problem. The cour ...

The course would be an A+ except for the fact that the maintenance is not the greatest. Fallen trees and branches litter the course. Still very manageable and a great all around course with a nice variety of distances and obstacles.
What stuck out:
Awesome elevation changes
fun open holes
interesting wooded technical holes
awesome people
What sucked:
vandalism and disrespect for the course
horribly obstructed paths to some holes/hard navigation

Great course. Yes, it has a casual problem but if you arrive before noon or a bit earlier you can usually avoid the hassle.

The course itself has a really nice layout. Difficult shots of all kinds. Dog leg lefts and rights and long and short shots. Good Elevation changes. The course was incredibly crowded. Large groups, have to wait at most tees

A bit muddy still in areas, but is beginning to dry up very well. Hole 4, 9, 10, and 12 are still very wet and muddy.
