After a 2 year hiatus, I’m happy to report that the Shore Acres Open will make it’s return the weekend of August 20th! It will be a split day B-tier event, like years past, with $1,500 added to the Pro divisions courtesy of our headlining sponsors – Big Lake Brewing & Green Koi.
New this year, we are featuring an invitational registration format to reward Shore Acre’s rich history of champions, dedicated league members, and previous year’s qualifiers. See below for details on invitations, qualifications, and registration timeline.

Invitation Criteria:
1. Shore Acres Disc Golf Club Green Jacket winners – Lifetime qualification
2. Shore Acres Disc Golf Club White Jacket winners (Women)– Lifetime qualification
3. Shore Acres Disc Golf Club Points winners – Lifetime qualification
4. Shore Acres Open winners – Limited Lifetime qualification (Division size = or > than 4)
5. Shore Acres Disc Golf Club and/or Sponsor exemptions – Yearly qualification
6. Current year’s (2022) Shore Acres Disc Golf Club members – Yearly qualification
7. Previous year’s (2019) Shore Acres Open top 50% per division – Yearly qualification

All invitations will be made available on Disc Golf Scene according to the schedule below. Please contact Zachary Vaughn for any invitation questions or issues.
Registration Schedule:
June 10th through June 19th – Online registration open for all lifetime qualification criteria & Club/Sponsor exemptions (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
June 20th through July 3rd – Online registration open for all yearly qualification criteria (6, 7)
July 4th through August 18th – Online registration open for everyone, including non-qualified players

What a night we had last night! The amount of members we signed up last night took us by surprise, but everything went smooth - special thanks to Rob and Todd for taking money and handing out the players packs!

Our season typically starts with a preseason which allows us time to consolidate our membership & scoring lists, handle financials, and smooth out the administrative logistics associated with managing 100 players. Please bear with us while we do this on the fly.

You can expect a scoring delay this week while we tend to the aforementioned tasks. Also, I'd like to remind everyone that we won't have points or handicaps computed until week 3 - again due to the lack of preseason. I'll post the week #1 and week #2 scores in the comments section of the league page and on our private Facebook page for scoring transparency. Once we get scores for week #3, I will back fill all scores/points and we'll also start following the overall scoring & point races. Week #7 will be our first glimpse into division based points and scoring.

See below for a few other reminders:

- Please ensure you put first and last names on all scorecards.
- When sending scores via the PDGA app, please send your score as "Share as file" opposed to Share as image. This allows for copy and paste functionality which makes our scoring process much more efficient.
- If you have sent your score digitally, it is not a requirement to submit a paper scorecard.
- If you are not yet a member of our 2020 league Facebook page, please head to the link below and request access. If you were denied access previously, it was because we did not recognize you as an active member...please try again.

Hello league members and potential league members!
Wow, what a crazy time we’re in! Today was supposed to be the first day of official league, but yet we’re either stuck in our house or are out on the course concerned about our social impact (or should be). Unprecedented to say the least!
We started the year with great intentions of providing league players with a player’s pack upon registration, correcting on our error last year of not having everything ready to go. Little did we know that we would be making an error by fronting this money. Good news: we have players packs!! Bad news: we don’t know when or if we can have a league this year…or tournaments…and, we overcommitted. League players packs – Check; Dunesview Doubles players packs – Check; can we have either – who knows?
So…we’re stuck in this holding pattern. We are waiting for State advice/regulations as well as the same from the PDGA. The league is left waiting...
We are still hopeful to have a league this year and are constructing a reduced league schedule plan with date dependent criteria. We may end up meeting a deadline or point of no return where having a league is not feasible. We hope this isn’t the case but can’t predict what the recommendations will be down the road.
Stay home, stay safe…if you venture out to Shore Acres, please represent disc golf in the State regulatory social distancing manner. We’ve heard of other courses being pulled around the State, which is the last thing we need at Shore Acres…so be smart please.

Hello everyone, we at Shore Acres Disc Golf hope this announcement finds you safe and well. I’m certain many of you are curious about the 2020 Shore Acres disc golf season. Please read the bullets below for more information:

• The March 31st signup party at Saugatuck Brewing Co. is cancelled due to government orders. All current registrants will be refunded.
• April preseason is cancelled.
• We intend to have a 2020 league season this year! All players packs are ready to be distributed!
• We will update everyone soon after the April 13th “Stay at Home” period.
• The 2020 SADGC Tournament schedule remains intact as of today.

We are closely following and adhering to governmental and PDGA recommendations on play. We look forward to chucking plastic with all of you soon! Stay safe!

2015 Shore Acres Disc Golf League Sign-up Registration Party

When: March 31st, 2015
Time: 5:30-8pm, informational meeting will be at 6:30pm
Where: Big Lake Brewing - 977 Butternut Dr Ste 4, Holland, MI 49424
Why: Because you want to sign up to get your players pack: bag tag, 2 premium discs, and league shirt. Plus, you love your league-mates and want to see how much weight they've put on over the winter.

There are two membership options:
1) Early-Bird Member - $100 one time fee (includes full players pack)
2) Weekly Member - $35 member fee + $5 each league day attended (includes bag tag and shirt only)

We'll also be having our first fundraiser of the year. Please be sure to bring pocket change or any monetary amount you'd be willing to donate: Sara Botbyl has committed to photographing and recording our ugly mugs once again for 2015! We're hoping to raise at least $200 to help ensure every ounce of ugly is captured. With the numbers we're expecting, that's just $2-3 bucks a person. Shore Acres Summer Leagues 2013
Leagues will run May 7th – September 24th (18 weeks)
Early bird sign ups start the first Tuesday in April (4/2/2013) and run for the whole month
Averages can, and should be set Tuesday nights during April. Two rounds minimum to establish an average before you can acquire points.
​No league play May 28th, July 2nd, or September 3rd for holiday breaks.

3 Divisional Tournaments for Points & Prizes (Must be present 60% of trimester to be eligible, no makeups allowed on divisional weeks, non-average players MUST play in the top division) Top prizes include MDGO STATE BIRTHS FOR DIVISIONAL WINNERS IN EACH DIVISION!
​June 18th (Short), August 6st (Long), September 24th (Short)
Course layout changes after divisionals

$25 dues, $2 weekly, optional $1 ace & 50/50 CTP ($105/year, or $80 if paid before May, 7th)
3 guaranteed CTPs every week! $20 minimum on 50/50, plus 2 disc CTPs
Tuesday is league night, no exceptions. Pay your weekly fees by 6pm at the table.
3 makeup rounds allowed, but THEY MUST BE PLAYED ON TUESDAY, and are only worth 1 point
MUST PLAY AT LEAST 60% OF LEAGUE ROUND TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR YEAR END MERCH & FINALS!
Yearend Prizes for points & Averages for each division
Points: 1 for playing, +1 for tying average, +2 +strokes that you beat your average
