Hello league members and potential league members!
Wow, what a crazy time we’re in! Today was supposed to be the first day of official league, but yet we’re either stuck in our house or are out on the course concerned about our social impact (or should be). Unprecedented to say the least!
We started the year with great intentions of providing league players with a player’s pack upon registration, correcting on our error last year of not having everything ready to go. Little did we know that we would be making an error by fronting this money. Good news: we have players packs!! Bad news: we don’t know when or if we can have a league this year…or tournaments…and, we overcommitted. League players packs – Check; Dunesview Doubles players packs – Check; can we have either – who knows?
So…we’re stuck in this holding pattern. We are waiting for State advice/regulations as well as the same from the PDGA. The league is left waiting...
We are still hopeful to have a league this year and are constructing a reduced league schedule plan with date dependent criteria. We may end up meeting a deadline or point of no return where having a league is not feasible. We hope this isn’t the case but can’t predict what the recommendations will be down the road.
Stay home, stay safe…if you venture out to Shore Acres, please represent disc golf in the State regulatory social distancing manner. We’ve heard of other courses being pulled around the State, which is the last thing we need at Shore Acres…so be smart please.
