Registration for the state championships closes tomorrow! Hope to see you all there. There are teepads installed at Birch Ridge now for the main layout and there will be temporary teepads for all the longs looks! Every shot will have a teepad.

Just in case it would make a difference to anyone, Spirit of 76 is now starting at a more-reasonable 8am! Also, if you can't play all 4 rounds, you can't "win" but ams will still get a cool disc, ratings and a shot at CTP prizes for the rounds they do play!

Recently lost disc post.
If anyone has seen a American flag maverick I have a big reward. Was my baby and lost on 15 over trees left side.
Also lost orange breakout
Maroon westside disc stag on 1.
White star tee bird (back in april) on 9.
My number is a 254 area code incase anyone thought it was an out of towner.

Send an email to [email redacted] and tell them how great the course is and that you would like to see it expanded, make sure to list all the benefits it has provided for the community. If we all send an email, it might get some traction. It would be great to have another full 18 here in the bowl.

The email idea would probably work better if there was a specific director/manager or point of contact to email to rather than the general box that some random employee may or may not pass up the line.

True, the Muni Parks dept email list is open to the public. Search away and direct your requests how you see fit. All I ask is to be positive with concerns and the end goal is to grow the sport.

Hey guys.
My local course here in Kodiak is going to be taken down in the next year or two. It’s on coast guard property and they are gonna make housing. There is a lot of interest now, but we don’t have an established league or anything. I’m working on it. I’m going to a Parks and Rec meeting at the end of the month. I’m trying to get some of the more interested people to go with me. I need to pitch an idea or something. I don’t know how to go about it. Any ideas?....

The PDGA website may have some information you would find useful. Are you trying to secure a location for a new course? Scout potential areas that may be unused or underutilized; disc golf's adaptability is one of its strong suits. Sites that might not serve much purpose for other activities ... more
