Left an almost brand new firebird on hole 4 of oaks with name and number on inside of rim. Went back a few holes later and was already gone. Really hope whoever picked it up turns it in. No call and wasn’t in the lost and found bin.

Caddie Book?

A.J. Wecker   February 18, 2022 at 4:33am

I'll be sending everyone course rules and maps via e-mail here shortly. Not quite a caddy book, but it'll help! I also inputted the rules for each hole on the live scoring.

With the mask mandate ending as of 2/15/2022, will masks still be required indoors since all participants will be vaxed?

Public schools in CA are still under mask mandate rules at this time. The county mandates do not apply to these campuses

A.J. Wecker   February 17, 2022 at 3:18pm

Masks will still be required when inside the Meeting House. Thanks for your understanding

Roger Vartabedian   February 17, 2022 at 3:31pm

Awesome, thank you for the update AJ. I appreciate it and will be prepared as usual.

Bill Emmack    February 16, 2022 at 8:51pm

Just re-booked lodging. A month ago I booked for Saturday night ($99+tax) at Motel 6. Yesterday I decided I should stay Friday night as well. Had to call to add a night to my reservation — new total for both nights? $450. Um…no thank you. (She also f’d up my reservation in the process.)

Long story short — I just canceled Motel 6 and booked a room at the Thunderbird Inn for Friday and Saturday. Total for both nights? $212

Most rooms available this late are more expensive so if you’re only now making reservations good luck. Just sharing that Motel 6 sucks about as expected. YMMV

Hey AJ will spots be added to get some people off the waitlist or is 160 the capacity? Currently 4th on the waitlist but would love to play this tournament again

A.J. Wecker   February 14, 2022 at 5:09pm

Evan, I'm sorry, but we'll be unable to expand beyond 160. If you don't get in to the event, you will get a full refund by Monday. We are looking into ways to expand the tournament for next year, and will hopefully have a spot for you then!

Maxwell Cazanov-Diggs    February 14, 2022 at 3:57pm

Will we receive an email soon with details, including if we need to upload vax info?

A.J. Wecker   February 14, 2022 at 4:03pm

Maxwell, yes, all participants will receive an e-mail later today with details.

Maxwell Cazanov-Diggs   February 14, 2022 at 5:07pm

Awesome, thank you!!

Chris Illes    February 14, 2022 at 4:40am

Will first round be in our division or mixed divisions? I think PDGA said no more mixed division cards in tournaments.

Edward Elam   February 14, 2022 at 12:45pm

I just played in a C-tier on Saturday and 1st round was mixed division.

A.J. Wecker   February 14, 2022 at 1:57pm

Only a few mixed divisions in order to make foursomes. For the most part everyone will be with their own division.

Hi A.J. Unfortunately I have to pull out of the tournament I had a death in the family. Can you please refund my entry fee? Thank you

Hi there,

I’m on the waitlist but. Unfortunately I am going to have to withdraw from the tournament. Thanks!

A.J. Wecker   February 13, 2022 at 7:49pm

Got it. Refund sent.

Clay Reed    February 4, 2022 at 2:48am

I do not want to withdraw, however due to the total stomping on my personal medical choice to not take experimental drugs I’m being shut out of the sport I love. I can play the course the day before and the days to follow the tournament without a medical mandate. What a disservice to the sport!

I, for one, will feel much more secure & safer knowing that the group I'm immersed in will be fully vaxed. Kudos to CSU for making it so. Point 1 - They're not preventing you from making your medical choice. They're simply ensuring that it remains your personal choice by keeping you out of the crowd. Point 2 - The vax is not an experimental drug.

Markham Shofner   February 14, 2022 at 3:46am

^^

Brian McFarland   February 16, 2022 at 6:05am

Your personal medical choice is just that, and makes one wonder why you need to comment here for attention. The consequence of your choice is one you must live with and no one will feel sorry for you here.

Roderick Kast    February 3, 2022 at 1:24am

I won’t be in town during that time, refund was request 1/5.
Thank you and have a fantastic event

Sorry for the delay in getting a response. Boosters will not be required for the event, only encouraged. I'll be sending out an e-mail to all participants soon with instructions on where to upload your vaccine card photo prior to the tournament for convenience. Thanks!

ruben alaniz   February 1, 2022 at 10:29pm

I have a couple of concerns about sharing PII data with third party entities. Do we know whom we will be sharing this information with? The name of the application? The names of the parties that will have access to our data? I don't mind flashing my vax card in front of someone to verify in per ... more

A.J. Wecker   February 2, 2022 at 3:42pm

Ruben, you will be uploading it to an official CSUMB website. I believe the school wants to have them all on file. But I will still see if I can find out the answer to if showing them in person day of is acceptable. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause!

Sparrow Baranyai    January 19, 2022 at 4:29pm

I am super sad, but would you mind removing me? Logistics with travel! Thank you !

Is their any organized camping for us?

A.J. Wecker   January 18, 2022 at 4:50am

No organized camping. However the best nearby camping options are at Laguna Seca or Veterans Park. I believe Veterans Park is fist come, first served. So making reservations at Laguna Seca may be the best bet.

Kyle Narahara    January 18, 2022 at 12:46am

Do people ever bring their girlfriends to caddy for them?

Joey Garcia   January 19, 2022 at 1:57am

Yeah I’ve seen that before. Just make sure to check out the PDGA rules about caddying beforehand. There are some rules that apply specifically to caddies that may or may not be obvious.

Kellen Martin    January 15, 2022 at 6:53pm

Hey AJ, I can't get that weekend off of work. Please take me off of the waitlist at your convenience. I hope I get to see you soon

Well I did want to pound on Krash for taking his sweet ass time, but were brothers to the end. So I'll pound on him at the WJ.

Sometimes you just have to use the pull out method

Edward Poynor   January 14, 2022 at 12:54pm

Whoop whoop !

Edward Poynor    January 12, 2022 at 12:57pm

Traveling from Reno and on the waitlist . Did i read that right 8pm day before we will know if were in ?

A.J. Wecker   January 12, 2022 at 5:04pm

Edward, there is no way of knowing when or if you will get in. I think that comment was just saying that he got in at 8PM the night before a few years back. Obviously we will have people dropping leading up to the event, but sometimes there is a ton of drops at the last minute as well. So my advice is just to hang in there for now! Thanks!

Edward Poynor   January 12, 2022 at 8:54pm

ok sounds good .
