Congratulations to Jeff Bauman on his Masters win, Zak Fortuna on his AM1 win, and Marc (Happy Birthday) Tokie on his epic 6 hole sudden-death playoff AM3 win over Smilin' John Zane...
We raised $205 dollars for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen with the grand prize Jimmy Howard disc going to Smilin' John Zane.

Finally, Congratulations also to Chris Leo on his 1st ever TD experience and Andy Hughes for the TD assist. The event was pretty smooth including Mother Nature who held back the snow that threatened earlier.

Shouldn't be a problem. Al told me they have a small 12 person golf league that goes out at 10 am. They tee off every 6 minutes so by 10:25 they should be out on the course. Our disc golf course spans the Orange and Green courses (9 holes each). They also have a Red 9 hole course as well. If they make the turn and are on one of our disc golf holes, use the same etiquette you would on any course and allow them the play through. The ball golfers are not ready for us to overtake their stomping grounds - yet! ;-D Al in the clubhouse is expecting disc golfers and he's pretty cool. Have fun!

The course has been measured out with pad and basket locations. We were asked to show up later then 10:30 to play. I know Rob Stivers and Andrew Hughes will be out there earlier then that to continue placing the baskets and pads.

With that said I would like to give special shout outs to Rob Stivers for grabbing the fly pads from Star along with some more baskets. Andrew Hughes and Jay Binienda for helping setup the measurements today out there. Of course we can never thank John enough for helping get this ready as well.

Rob Stivers has the Fly Pads from Starr Park in his trailer. I asked Sunnybrook if we can keep them there permanently to use for the disc golf course and he had no problem with it. There are approximately 10 of them. Starr will not be needing them any longer as cement will be going in hopefully by the weekend. Rob also has 4 baskets that need to be assembled. I have 3 that also need to be assembled. I am working an event at the GM Tech Center all day tomorrow but hopefully in between sessions I will be able to meet either Rob, Andy, or Chris at Lowes on Van Dyke to give them the 3 baskets and flags so they can begin staking out the course. I imagine most festivities will begin around the 10 am time frame give-or-take a little.

If they are setup, then yes you can just walk into the pro shop and pay the fee. What that fee is, I'm not sure but it would be nominal I'm guessing.

The normal Course layout:
1. 800' Throwing directly north down the 1st fairway. Mando left off tee box.
2. 810' Throwing directly north down the 2nd fairway
3. 500' sunken teebox(old sandstap) and a steep drop off past the basket
4. 780' / 420' (AM) Pro tee on a bridge. Water left 1st shot, water right 2nd shot
5. 530' / 330' (AM) Basket set on the edge of a VERY reachable pond. Don't be short!
6. 222' Ace shot - Basket in the center of 3 pines
7. 812' / 550' (AM) Basket perched on a hillside. OB left. 2nd shot can get wet.
8. 250' Righty Anhyzer in the woods. Don't be left.
9. 1020' Second shot water hazard stream, basket on top of a hill by Vand Dyke.
10. 675' Throwing from a tee box by Van Dyke over water.
11. 550' Basket sandwiched in between 2 trees/
12. 506' Triple Mando 400' off the tee. Up hill into the wind. Mando between 2 trees under banner.
13. 1300' / 500' (AM) Signature hole. Can get wet on 2nd shot.
14. 335' Basket on a tree stump at least 7' high. Need to be on right side of basket.

We will be using 40 carts - 2 players per cart = 80 players. The cost for a cart for ball golf is $15 per 18 holes. I was able to get the same $15 fee except for both rounds. The owner of Sunnybrook threw that in for us. We did raise the entry fee to accommodate the cart charge. In 2010 the Pro entry was $40. Since we moved the event to Sunnybrook we raise each Pro entry $8 per player or $16 per cart since there are 2 players in a cart. We raised all the entry's across the board a similar fee. The AM3 was $28, now it is $36. We are basically doing the same payouts as 2010 but the added entry of $8 per player or $16 per cart goes to Sunnybrook.
