The Second Provo Royale is in the books. We had 100 players. The first tee was at 7:40 am and the last hole was completed about 6 pm. That made for a full day of disc bliss. We appreciate you, the players, for helping things run smoothly. We hope each of you had a good time.

We tried a few new things this year, carried over some challenges from the first royale. We want to keep things fun and challenging, but also keep the character of the course. We hope we did that, with apologies if we messed up one of your favorite holes.

$2129! That's how much we are donating to the Forgotten Patient Program. Almost half of that money comes from extra disc, mini, and ticket sales. Your support makes a difference. The hospital was impressed with the size of the donation. Thank you for giving. The patients will know people care.

We had a couple people who didn't show and didn't get their players' packs. If you would like your items, please email me and we can arrange it.

Will there be a Third Provo Royale? Does the Dank Duck laugh at missed putts? Nothing solid; but all signs point to yes. Look for an event next Fall, with registration opening late Summer. Obviously things can change, but we would love to do this again.

P.S I just handed off the check at the hospital. They we very grateful. I asked if the Forgotten Patient project could use that much, and the Admin said yes. It's their most costly program they run, and this was a huge help.

I've updated and hopefully finalized the layout.

We met with the Hospital yesterday and they are going to let us have a temp hole. I think this will really help with the flow. The hole numbers will stay the same, but Hole PX will be played after 13. It's in the grassy area you find on the road south of the basket for 13. I really like the putting green for this hole. It's on a terrace with a hill behind it. The tee is on the road. Like hole 16 this is a shorter hole with a gap for RHBH, but an easier line for RHFH.

I'll mark the tee by 10/19 and also have a old basket there for practice. For the tourney we'll have a Chainstar Pro.

With this temp hole added, we won't be playing hole 16 for the tourney. As much as I love that hole, and the feeling of hitting the gap, I think this will help the flow and we'll have fewer back ups. This will also allow for aggressive attacking of the basket for hole 18X (the traditional basket for 15)

Quick update. I've added the layout to the document description. I will have a more polished version next week, but this should let you know the specifics if you want to practice.

This year we're trying something with Hole 15 and 18. For hole 15, you'll play to 18's basket, and for hole 18 you'll play to 15's basket. This makes 18X a challenging par 4 where your two drives both matter. Unless you eagle it. If you eagle it I'll buy you a burrito from T-bell. Hole 15X is a short technical hole that rewards finesse. And maybe we'll pay out the ace pot!

Please, when you are practicing these holes defer to the people playing the course as laid out. If someone is throwing on 15/16 especially, let them clear out before throwing to the basket.
