Over the past two days, we’ve seen it all—sky-high drives, death-defying putts, and wind that either gave you wings or sent your disc on an all-expenses-paid cruise. Some of you have defied the elements, some of you have learned valuable lessons about overstable plastic, and some of you are still mentally recovering from that one rollaway.

But today? Today is where it all comes together.
This is your moment. The final round. The last chance to climb the leaderboard. The opportunity to put your name in the history books of the Caribbean Classic Tour.

For some, it’s about the win.
For others, it’s about redemption.

Good morning, disc golfers! Welcome to Day Two at Playa Lucía!

Yesterday, we battled wind and maybe even a rogue iguana or two. Some of you parked every drive, some of you rode the wind like a pro, and some of you are still looking for that disc that caught an unexpected flight to Vieques.

But today? Today is where legends are made. The leaderboard is tight, the competition is fierce, and we’re about to witness some of the most clutch putts, daring drives, and epic comebacks this tour has ever seen.

Remember, Playa Lucía isn’t just about power—it’s about precision, patience, and knowing when to trust that sketchy tailwind.

So as you step onto the first tee today, keep these things in mind:
The wind may test you, but champions adapt.
A well-placed upshot is just as beautiful as a parked drive.

After the rounds - Juan Pablo of Parador MaunaCaribe and our Juniors parents are doing lechón—roasted pig—by donation. We recommend a $5 minimum per plate to cover costs... A portion will go to reimburse the cost of the pig n other food, and the remaining proceeds will support the Federación Puertorriqueña de Disc Golf and our Juniors (including help toward their trip to Worlds).

You're welcome to camp overnight in the park as well, all beaches and rivers are public so you are welcome to take in any beautiful beach on the island..anytime. speed limits and most traffic laws are loose suggestions, and roads can be rough, so be careful out there.

We are one week out from the Playa Lucia Open, WE'RE SO EXCITED TO HOST YOU ALL!!! As we near the event, we need to share an important update that we were made aware of yesterday regarding a major road closure that will affect arrival times + how info on how it could affect your round

IMPORTANT – ROAD CLOSURE AFFECTING ACCESS TO PLAYA LUCIA
There will be a major traffic impact from December 1–19, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on the main route from eastern PR (Humacao → Yabucoa)

The bridge along this direction will be completely closed.

PLEASE PLAN EXTRA TRAVEL TIME. These delays will add a minimum of 20 minutes!! We strongly recommend using Waze (google doesn't always reflect road closures here) and reviewing the alternate routes below.

ALTERNATE ROUTES
Option 1

Take Exit 35A (after the Humacao South toll on PR-53)

Left onto PR-906 → to PR-3

Continue toward downtown Yabucoa

Left onto PR-901

Continue west to PR-9914

Option 2

Take Exit 39 off PR-53

Left onto PR-906

Left again onto PR-3

Continue south toward downtown Yabucoa

Left onto PR-901

Continue west to PR-9914

Please check your expected route before tournament day, as delays are likely during the tournament hours. Closures are during the daylight hours.

TEE TIME & CHECK-IN REMINDERS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
This event uses staggered tee times (tee time start) - Please be sure you understand the following requirements:

Player Responsibilities
You must check in at Tournament Central (located near hole 3) before going to the starter at Hole 1 to start your round

It is the players responsibility to know course rules (Caddy-Book, QR on Hole Signs, PDGA Live) your tee time, and be at your starting hole on time and ready to play

Players may warm up only in designated areas

The course is closed for practice during competitive rounds unless otherwise stated by the TD

Tee Time Presence Requirements: Absences, Lateness & Drops
Any player who does not check in at Tournament Central by the specified time forfeits their spot and their entry fee (As per PDGA 1.03.F, day-of drops receive no refund, even if filled by a waitlister.)
All players must check in with the starter no less than 5 minutes before their scheduled tee time and remain at the starting hole for the 5 minutes prior to their start
Failure to check in with the starter by this time results in two penalty strokes added to the starting hole
If a player is absent for the first hole under PDGA 811.F.5 (Misplay), that misplay penalty replaces the two-stroke penalty—only the misplay applies
A player who is late to their starting hole or any subsequent hole has committed a misplay and may be penalized or disqualified at the TD’s discretion

If you need any information please do not hesitate to reach out. We will be finalizing field shortly and will have some spaces available. The cap for AMs will be 100 as that is what we have available for players packs. There will be some additional pro spots open as well. Hello all: We apologize in the delay in responding to additional wait-list additions as we were in KS for junior worlds last week. As of now we will be keeping the wait-list limit to 10 people as we are anticipating news of additional pro spots being announced within the next month or so. As we obtain additional information, we will update the registration and send the updates through discgolfscene and Traveling Chains PR's socials (FB&Instagram). We also have a 1 day C tier tournament scheduled in Ceiba on Wednesday prior. There are spots remaining as of now and there will be a Go Throw skins match following.
