The names of the divisions are based on the PDGA system which also includes a payer rating. Since I assume neither of you are PDGA rated it would be based on your average score. Open will typically shoot between -11 and -14 at Miniwaukan from the short tees. Advanced will be between -7 and -10. Intermediate would be between -3 and -6. Recreational will shoot around +1 to -2. Juniors can throw in the Junior division if they desire or if they shoot in any of the above scoring ranges they should probably play in that division.

With this being a fundraiser tournament to raise money to put in the permanent disc golf course in this park it isn't exactly the same as most tournaments. We are ultimately doing this to build the disc golf community around Mukwonago, raise money for the next course in town (which I may be biased but will be better than Miniwaukan), and to have some fun together. I am also holding this tournament to learn about what people think about the overall layout, the individual hole design from a design and safety perspective. Specifically what your entry fee gets you is a custom stamped disc, some prizes to be given away during the rounds, possibly some lunch (if I can nail down a sponsor). There may be some money available for you to win some prizes depending on how many people sign up in each division. If you have never played a tournament . . . this is one of the best to signup for because it is not all about the competition, it is about the experience and meeting new people.
