The names of the divisions are based on the PDGA system which also includes a payer rating. Since I assume neither of you are PDGA rated it would be based on your average score. Open will typically shoot between -11 and -14 at Miniwaukan from the short tees. Advanced will be between -7 and -10. Intermediate would be between -3 and -6. Recreational will shoot around +1 to -2. Juniors can throw in the Junior division if they desire or if they shoot in any of the above scoring ranges they should probably play in that division.
