Welcome to the Centennial Chain Crash 2020 presented by Grip Equipment!
TEE TIMES have been posted. You can find your tee time at the PDGA event page here:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/47264
Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your tee time. I would actually recommend 45-60 minutes as you would for a normal tournament. There should be a practice basket available, next to Tournament Central, but little to no room to warm up. PLEASE DO NOT WARM UP ON 12'S FAIRWAY. You will not be able to warm up on the course as players will be on the field. I would recommend warming up at West Middle School and the elementary school prior to coming to the course.

PARKING: There's about 25 spots in the lot closest to tournament central. There's another estimated 25 spots at Hole 1. After that, there is some business parking across 9th Street from tournament central. If you use that, I would recommend parking closer to Crimson & Brews rather than Tortas Jaliscos.
TOILETS: A portable toilet has been rented and is located at Tournament Central and would be available from Holes 3 / 7 / 15.
STARTING HOLE: We are starting at Hole 3 instead of Hole 1.
SCORING: We will be utilizing the PDGA online digital scoring application. It is not an app you have to download, rather you use it directly from their website at pdga.com/score. The access code is ‘GRIPEQ’. I will also have paper scorecards for you to use as a backup, but the official score is the online digital scoring. You will be required to submit your scores via this application.
- When you are done with your round, you need to ‘Finalize’ your score. This is not the same as just putting in your score for the last hole. You will get to a screen that lists each player with a Red X next to your name. After the whole card has reviewed your scores comparing them to the paper backup and confirmed if the score is correct, you need to tap on the player’s name and enter their PDGA number if they have one, or enter their last name. Once you have done this, your score has officially been submitted and cannot be altered with the exception of any penalties levied by a TD. If you have played a provisional on any hole, do not confirm the score until after you have discussed the scenario with the TD.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A NO-SHOW OR LATE PLAYER: If a player has missed their turn to tee off, they get Par + 4 for each hole they missed (7 on Par 3, 8 on Par 4). If they show up when the card is halfway done with a hole, they have missed that hole and can start on the next hole. If a player does not show up for the entire event, keep giving them Par+4 for each hole (don’t try to remove them) and inform the TD on duty so we can then remove them from the system. If you cannot make it, please let me know as soon as possible before your tee time. It is too late to get a refund, but if you let me know before your tee time I will mail you your player pack.
PLAYER PACKS / PAYOUTS / AWARDS: All players, Pro and Am, will get an annual Maverick DG Christmas mini. Amateurs will also get a tournament stamped disc, a list of which is included at the end of this email. All divisions will have a trophy for first place with the Recreational division having a First, Second and Third place trophy. All payouts will be done as each division finishes. Recreational divisions are player pack and trophy only. The remaining Amateur divisions will pay 40-45% of the field in additional merchandise payout. Pro divisions will pay approximately 40% with check or Paypal Goods & Services. AMATEURS: Merchandise payout must be used at this tournament or will be forfeited. If you think you may be receiving merchandise payout, you need to wait until your division has finished in order to collect your award / payout.
TIES: For all divisions other than MPO, if there is a tie for first place, we will use this method to award the trophy. Comparing the scoring of those that are in the first place tie, the first to win a hole (birdie, par, boggie, doesn't matter) will win the trophy. If those players have the same score for that hole, we'll go to the next hole(s) until a winner is determined. We are using this method because with tee times it is not possible to play off for the trophy. The 'winnings', if applicable, will be split between those that tie; this method is only to award the trophy. For MPO, if there is a tie, a playoff will be required until a clear winner is determined.
VENDING: Maverick Disc Golf will be vending the event. All payouts must be used via Maverick the day of the event. No carryovers will be allowed as this is the last event of the year.
COURSE NOTES: Attached to this email is the course rules, pars and distances and a course map.
I believe that should cover it for all information you may need. If I haven’t addressed something, please let me know.
