Earlier I emailed that due to a tightening of the Douglas County COVID restrictions that we would be moving to one round on tee times. That is still the plan, one round only on tee times.
To give better value to players due to only one round, I am decreasing the entry fees.
Division / Original / Modified
PRO, $54 down to $30 ($4 goes to fees/expenses)
ADVANCE $45 down to $30
INTERMEDIATE $40 to $30
RECREATIONAL $32 to $22
$54 for Pros for one round is just too steep, so I'm decreasing it to $30 with $4 going towards fees and expenses.
The player pack for Ams will be reduced in size. Originally it was a tournament stamped disc, the annual Christmas mini, and a towel. I'm dropping the towel and will keep those for a tournament next year. It will just be the disc and Christmas mini. As always, Recreational is Player Pack and trophy only. Intermediate and Advanced will have additional merchandise payout awarded based on finish. As this is the last tournament, you do need to use it at the event, which means that you may have to wait for all the cards in your division to finish to see if you won additional payout or not.
For each division, I will do the payouts as that division finishes.
Regarding the course, it is currently set fairly short anticipating doing two rounds in one day on reduced daylight. As we are only doing one round, if time and weather permits, we'll likely be stretching the course longer. There really isn't an option of doing additional temp holes past the original 18.
I'm going to wait until next week before I start refunding the difference in entry fees because there is still a possibility that the tournament will simply be cancelled. Instead of doing one refund now, and then another in 6 days, I'm going to wait until the city gets back to me if we will be allowed to move forward with the event.
I'm also likely to increase the field size from the current 72 players but will also wait until next week before doing so.
