Below is a copy of the email we sent to all registered players on July13, 2021:

Hello Foxwood Open Players,

Hi Darrell, when i registered I underestimated my rating and now that I played a few tournaments I am two divisions too low can i be moved to the under 900 division? Or will that wait list me?

Sean O'Reilly   5 days ago

Dan, you have been moved to the Red Division.

Assuming that's a no?

Sean O'Reilly   July 2 at 6:04pm

Apologies Kyle. Communication is my responsibility and I’ve been on vacation, out of the province. This slipped by me.

Sean O'Reilly   July 2 at 6:05pm

At the moment, the cap will remain in place and we may revisit it in August as the tournament gets closer

Sean O'Reilly   July 2 at 6:06pm

Thanks for following up, and keep an eye on the page as the tournament draws closer. Very little activity at the moment for players withdrawing

Kyle Pitman    June 26 at 6:19pm

Wondering if is still possible to get on a waitlist?

Below is a copy of the email we just sent regarding the rescheduling of the Foxwood Open due to covid restrictions:

Hello Foxwood Open Players

The 2021 Foxwood Open was shaping up to be a great tournament for the May long weekend. We have 172 players that are keen to come to Baden Ontario to compete at this fabulous facility for this PDGA A-tier event. Golf North is keen to host us again this year and Grand River Disc Golf has been working hard to help make this event a success. We also ... more

Hello, I see myself registered under Red on disc golf scene but on PDGA I am not listed. Just want to ensure that I have been successfully registered for the tournament.

Darrell Bankes   March 19 at 2:22pm

hello Matt, we will make sure this is corrected before the event,

Darrell Bankes    February 26 at 1:22pm

Great news, Foxwood Open is now a qualifier for the Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship!

Hello, I just registered RAG Purple. I am third on that division waitlist. Based on previous tournaments, is there a likely chance that I will be able to play?

Eric Davidson   February 16 at 2:32am

Hi Paul, I am not involved in organizing this event. I am pretty sure that the waitlist for this particular event is independent of division. That means you're #19 on the waitlist for any spots that open up tournament-wide.

Sean O'Reilly   February 18 at 1:40pm

Hi Paul, we will promote anyone from the waitlist in order of where they stand on the waitlist, it will not be based on where you stand within your division. While the waitlist is lengthy, there is always a chance you could be part of the event. Keep an eye out for the Foxwood Series leading up to the main event in May.

Darrell Bankes    January 18 at 2:59pm

Good morning, as of now the tournament has 168 registered players and over a dozen players on the waitlist. As most of you know the Ontario government has listed disc golf as one of the permitted outdoor small group activities allowed during the lockdown. To this end please get out and enjoy some disc golf but do so safely and while following all additional covid protocols. For those near Baden keep in mind Foxwood is open for disc golf only now but you do have to book tee times in advance.

We feel like we're caught up on refunds. If you need to be and have not. Please reach out.

Trevor Sway   January 12 at 5:38pm

My PDGA # is valid but I had $10 added...no biggie though.

Sean O'Reilly   January 12 at 5:56pm

In your case Trevor, its current till the end of Feb, it needs to be current till Dec 31st to qualify. Once it is, we can make the refund

Trevor Sway   January 12 at 8:08pm

Cool thx

Willie Atkinson    January 12 at 1:15pm

If on waitlist and no spots open up, I assume money refunded?

And if we get in, we pay the tournament fees minus the 50 already paid?

Sean O'Reilly   January 12 at 1:54pm

Correct again :)

Willie Atkinson   January 12 at 1:55pm

Awesome.signed up.

Darrell Bankes    January 12 at 2:18am

All I have to say is wow and thank-you for trusting us with your long weekend. We will all do our best to bring you a great tournament!

Joseph Pesce    January 12 at 1:37am

Hey there,

Is it max 160 players for registration?

Thanks

Sean O'Reilly   January 12 at 1:52am

Currently, yes

Darrell Bankes   January 12 at 2:16am

We likely won't add any more, 160 players take almost 6 hours to run through timed tee offs...need to keep a buffer for bad weather and other delays

Chris Conk    January 12 at 1:33am

What is the refund policy?

see this, rather than me interpreting it, 30 days is a threshold to keep in mind

Chris Conk   January 12 at 3:40am

Got it, much appreciated Darrell.

Connor Thompson    January 12 at 1:09am

I got hit for a $10 non-current PDGA fee but I'm currently in good standing, don't need to renew until next month. Can that portion be refunded?

Yes, same. Thanks Sean..

Joshua Colwell   January 12 at 1:40am

I'm current until end of February, since this is May technically won't be current.. I just renewed my membership early n was good

Darrell Bankes   January 12 at 2:13am

Yes, Joshua, I think you solved the problem there...you need to be current at the time of the event

Matt Dykeman    January 12 at 1:05am

Registered for the wrong division. Please remove me from green.

Sean O'Reilly   January 12 at 1:17am

We will get you sorted out shortly Matt

Dario Zgrablic   January 12 at 1:18am

From what I can tell, you can go to your registrations in your DGS profile and click Modify Registration, and alter your division.

Jake Voskamp    January 12 at 1:03am

What happens if a persons rating gets higher than their division they entered by the time of the tournament?

Sean O'Reilly   January 12 at 1:18am

We will update accordingly jake

Patrick Treude    December 14 at 12:40pm
