Hello Everyone,

First let me thank you for joining us in celebrating our 25th Anniversary of our ProAm Jam & Campout!!! We are excited to host this event back at the Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort (formally KOA), and also Brooktrails Golf Course!

This might be a lengthy email, but PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH and I will try to provide answers to some of the questions I have been receiving about the event and the Check in process.

Upon check in, we will do our best to do temperature scans, and it will be helpful if you have a vaccination card available. To ensure the safety of us all, please practice social distancing as much as possible and respect those around you by being responsible with your health.

Donation requests:
There are still things that we need for the event, if you are willing, please bring brand new water jugs, bottled water, and bags of ice to donate to the event. Your support is greatly appreciated!

And if you have anything that you can Donate to the Raffle, that would be AWESOME!!!

Arrival and Check In:

Parking:
PLEASE CARPOOL TO THIS EVENT
There is limited parking available at the campground! If you are not camping, or you have multiple cars for shared campsites, there will be overflow parking provided, but if you can please carpool for camping, that would be great. And if you staying offsite, please coordinate shared rides in from houses or hotels in the area.

Friday Arrival:
Please check in with Tournament staff between 1pm and 8pm at the Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort located at 1600 Highway 20, Willits CA 95490
Tournament staff or volunteers will be located just outside of the main office at the check in table. If you are camping, your camping check in will be separate and located inside the main camping office located just before the security gate of the property.

If you arrive after hours, and you are camping, there will be late check in envelopes with your name on it, and your event VIP wristbands will be included in your envelopes.

Saturday Arrival (Event Kickoff Meeting is at 7:00 am SHARP):
If you are not camping Friday night, and you arrive on Saturday morning, there will be a volunteer staff at the gate to check you in, and you will need to head straight back to Tournament Central, which will be located near hole #2 on the Mendocino Redwoods RV course.

- Group A will be comprised of ALL PRO DIVISIONS + MA1 (max of 5 players per card)
- Group B will be comprised of MA2, MA3, MA40, MA50, FA1, FA2, FA40 (max of 4 players per card)

Check in upon arrival at the main office before you enter the campground. There will be a Volunteer at the front of the office to give you a tournament wristband and do the player checkin.

If you are playing in the event, or if you are camping at the venue, your day use fees are included in either your event registration or your camping registration. However, If you are not playing in the event, or if you bring a caddy, you will need to pay the day use fee for any non player. This is a private event, and the venue is closed to outside traffic and spectators. The only exceptions will be volunteers, staff, or campers. Volunteers need to preregister with TD, Shaun Siler.

If you are camping, once you are settled in your campsite, please come by the clubhouse in the rear of the property by the disc golf course, tournament staff will be able to provide your player packs, and we will have raffle tickets and merchandise for sale in the clubhouse!

Check with Tournament staff for Practice Round times, and special activities (Possible Glow and/or Mini Round). Optional, no registration required, Rolling start times, will not count towards tournament score.

For those that are not of legal age, there are Non-Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the Campground store.

We are only doing Digital scoring for this event...
There will be backup cards available at the Player Kickoff for you to use as a backup, but you and your card are responsible to ensure that at the end of your round, the PDGA scoring is up do date in the app and completely submitted.

Please be aware of the social distancing guidelines suggested by the CDC and do your best to respect the space of others in the area.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you again for all that came out for Battle in the Redwoods. I will admit, that being a TD for the first time was a bit of a struggle and there were some hiccups that can definitely be learned from. I greatly appreciate all of you that offered feedback and brought issues to my attention.

I have received overwhelming positive comments at the event and following, as well as some constructive criticism, and I am very thankful that most had fun and seem to be excited about this campout event returning next year!

The PDGA live scoring had its issues, and created some discrepancies in the scoring within the past few days following the event, but as of now, the scores are posted and PDGA has been updated. Those who dropped, those who reported to me were injured, and those that left early have also been updated. I appreciate your patience over the past few days while I was reviewing the final details.

From myself, and the United Flyers of Sonoma, we greatly appreciate all of your support, and we would like to congratulate all of the division winners for their great play, and also shout out to those that played this as their first tournament ever, GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!

We hope to be back again soon for another fun campout experience!!!

As of yesterday "Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort still has ~30 sites available for booking.

We hope to fill up the sites no later than March 31st, so that we can have all the groups together!

Remember to please be friendly to the staff at MRRV, we are trying to prove to them that revamping and giving more attention to the disc golf community is well worth their time and effort. The new owners and staff are so excited to make this course a true disc golf destination in NorCal, lets make sure that they know we are a group of amazing people who greatly appreciate their efforts and attention.

Once this fills up, we will provide potential discount codes for neighboring hotels.

With regard to camping, Many people called last night trying to get in on the event camping, and were told that they were full. As of this morning "Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort still has ~40 sites available for booking. Some people that were not with the event, were trying to steal our spots, so the MRRV staff was being very careful on who to let in. I will be sending them a list of registered players so that they can try to cross reference and protect our group reservation.

Thank you to all of those that contributed additional donations willingly, you are greatly appreciated. And, thank you again to all those that were understanding of the situation last night and stayed positive through the confusion!!!

I will be working with the staff to see what we can do to open a couple more holes, and squeeze some more players into the event! This is going to be an awesome event and we look forward to seeing everyone out there!

Hey everyone, this was a crazy past few hours. The glitch in the system for the donations was really unfortunate. I am sorry that everyone had to deal with that.

It was not intentional at all. I was asked by many people how they can contribute extra for the event, and it was thought to make it easy by creating an option in DGS for folks that wanted to donate extra. Unfortunately it create a mandatory selection.

I was notified at 7:01pm of the issue, but by that time it was too late for some that had already paid it. I had the glitch fixed at 7:03pm and for a lot of folks, everything went okay.

Of course, I will work work to refund anyone that ended up paying the extra $50. Either tomorrow or Sunday, we should have everything reconciled, and reimbursements should go out ASAP. Sorry for any confusion!

I have already made many adjustments to specific divisions, to add more to each division. I tried to be equal in how I distributed the open spots so that as many people could get in as possible.

I would encourage everyone to stay positive on here, we are all just trying to throw a successful event and make this an awesome event for all!

It sucks that I decided to not sign up for a tournament in our home course one of my favorite courses because of how terribly horrible this registration experience is and if this is how they go about tournaments I wouldn’t want to do any in the future sorry don’t mean to be a downer but was total bullshit I couldn’t sign in because of the registration process even though I have been waiting and refreshed exactly at 7:00
