Hello Everyone, Happy New Year.

I wanted to take a quick second to introduce myself; My name is Kyle Maute and I will be your host and Tournament Director for this event. As the Tour Director for the National Amateur Disc Golf Tour, I am beyond excited to be bringing this new A-Tier to Austin. I have been involved with the National Championships in Austin for the last 3 years and am familiar with the course, the city and many of your offerings. There is an amazing group of people that are helping with this event including Patty Justice and her staff out at Circle C. I will be floating between Roy G and Zilker on Saturday and back to Roy G for all day Sunday.

Thank you to our Premier Tour Sponsor ZANFEL for all of their support through the years. Their poison ivy wash has helped me on more than one occasion in Texas.

First of all, thank you for being part of this weekend.

This will be our final pre event email for the event this weekend, the 2024 NADGT Premier: Austin Presented by Mint Discs

Below you will find our important information for this weekends event!

This is a PDGA A tier and all rules will be in effect and enforced. If you would like to become more familiar please visit:
Please note rules around DRESS CODE and Substance Use.

Check In:
You must check in at your respective course with Team Justice’s @ Circle C or Myself, Kyle Maute @ Roy G, between 7:30am and 8:30am. You will be removed from the event if you do not.
Please note: Player pack Pick up is @ Circle C….regardless of Pool. It will be a simpler distribution to do it all in one location instead of trying to move packs and items from venue to venue.
Crush will be on property this weekend to ensure that all questions are answered around your jersey or credit.

NO 2 METER RULE IN PLAY

Scoring:
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system through PDGA.com/Scores . The password will be AUSTIN. EVERYONE in the group is required to keep score, one via the official method, the other via PDGA ideally, but paper, or Udisc is acceptable. The group can decide who keeps the PDGA and who keeps the other PDGA or other. The Digital Scorecard is the OFFICIAL score card of the event. After you complete scoring make sure everyone’s score is confirmed prior to anyone leaving for the day and ALL PLAYERS have an opportunity to review scores. PLEASE NOTE: Being unprepared to keep score, or unwilling to keep score with other methods provided is not an acceptable excuse.

In some tournaments I’ve played, there’s been debate about whether the tee box line is at the end of the concrete or at the end of the bricks (Roy g and Zilker specifically) but it’s never defined in the caddy book. Can you please specify which is correct for this tournament in the caddy book?

Good Evening Players, I hope this reaches you well. We are a few days out and I wanted to give you some early updates as we are heading into the weekend.

First, course maps have been posted on the event page and included in this email. We are using the same layouts as are used during National Championships. There is only one addition to these maps and it will be a MANDO RIGHT on Hole 18 at Circle C. Unless weather complicates things for me tomorrow, all mandos and OB will be marked at all courses before the end of the day, and final boards and sponsorship signage will be posted before any rounds start.

On Friday we are running the USDGC Am Doubles Qualifier at Sprinkle Valley as well as doing early check in. Stop by, say hello and grab your goods from our sponsors. Maybe even enjoy a cold adult beverage. There are still spots available. Click here for more info:

More detailed info has been updated on the event page, but here are some of the highlights to note:

Saturday A Pool and B Pool will be at different courses. A Pool will start at Roy G and B Pool will start at Circle C. Any day of check-ins need to be done at your round 1 course before 8:30 am. All players packs will be at Circle C for pick up instead of trying to perfectly split things up and have it at both courses in the morning.

Players will be given no less than 90 minutes between rounds for lunch and travel. Please see PDGA event page to see exact starting time and new hole assignments.

Sunday will be tee times all day starting at approx 9am. NADGT is providing lunch for all players from TacoMan512 food truck. Players will have the option of eating before or after their rounds, obviously depending on the timing of the rounds. This is only for Sunday, and players will need to provide their own luncheon Saturday.

I agree the communication regarding the NADGT Finale in Fla could have used more communication. I played in the Championship and got an invite to the Finale but nobody knew anything about it during play in Austin. It seems like a fantastic event and opportunity but little info and therefore not much build up or hype.
Still nothing about the Finale on the NADGT main page :(

Hello, hoping someone knows the answer to the question.

Do the premier events if you place high enough get you an invite to the tournament for the chance for a pro card? Some of my friends were discussing this and we weren’t sure if the format is going to be the same.

This past year we all thought the national tournament in Austin was that tournament but there is now another tournament that my buddy is going to in Florida in a few weeks for the pro card.

Hoping to find the answer as I can not find it anywhere online.
