I don't believe you fully understand how much it costs to run an event. Most tournament directors make little to no money at all off of their events, so unless NADGT has found some way to reduce costs, they are already probably making little to no money off of the tournament entree fee. They are under no obligation to pay extra to the course because of the weather if they have already come to an agreement for the tournament. It would be more acceptable to ask this question privately than publically which is why your previous comment was most likely deleted instead of being responded to. I hope you understand that I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I'm just trying to explain to you that tournaments have a lot of costs involved in order to make events like this possible.

Hi Rippie, The NADGT crew went through Official channels with the City of Austin, as is required, and did the same for all the courses being used, not just Circle C. As for a percentage of entry fees going toward the course, that is a little more complicated. Fees are paid to the City of Austin, and they allocate those funds. It has always been that way. It may be possible for the club to request that fees paid to the city for using Circle C are specifically used for that same course. The club is welcome to run a fundraiser for your course fund at Circle C on Saturday while we are there. Maybe a putting contest of sorts? Or a membership drive?
