The 20% limit for Am divisions was not only a joke and totally unnecessary, but also incredibly unfair to the hundreds of Am players who traveled so far and spent so much time and money to play in this tournament. For instance, the MA50/MA55 divisions played their semi-final round at McPherson Park. Where a grand total of 31 players between both divisions teed off in a shotgun start. They (the TD) allocated less than half of the course capacity for this. They easily could have raised the limit to 40% (like the Pros and like last year) to accommodate more players.

just two concerns . parking situation for mandatory players meeting, I am sure this has already been discussed. Second the limited number of am positions for playoff. In ma50 it was originally 16 spots, it was 16 spots for months and then because one person did not show it dropped to 15 spots. This individual did not drop and get filled from waitlist.. they just never showed to registration, I would guess they did not get a refund so the money from 76 players was collected. They should have been a DNF, just like any other tournament that you no show for and get par plus 4 on first holes until the scoring app has them delete from the card and in ma 55 it was 16 spots. That is only 32 spots on a shotgun start. seems like a low number, when looking at last year it was 33 spots per division in ma50 and ma55 for 66 spots, Other than those it was an excellent tournament

Pro Aces will be included in the combined payout via PayPal along with doubles, field events, and singles. Am aces will be paid by PayPal, an email went out to Am Ace players for confirmation of their PayPal address.

Patrick, thanks for the reply but, my comment was not about which Division goes last. My point is, tee times should be assigned to protect player health and safety as much as possible. Older Divisions are more at risk with afternoon tee times during the hottest time of the day.

While I understand the frustration of not getting in to the event ... I'm with Ron all the complaining because you don't understand the limitation on the TDs is pretty uncalled for. Common sense says they would like to get everyone in ... but it's just not possible when your talking about a tournament with 500 participants.

No offense to Ledgestone, but they only play 3 rounds, compared to 4 plus semifinals PLUS a Final 9 at Masters Worlds. Oh...and divisional doubles and field events. In order to make the event work there have to be deadlines and field size caps. I'm sorry that some of you are on the unhappy side of those deadlines and caps, but the core folks managing the field and schedule have lots of experience and success under their belts.
