Pool A MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MA40, MA50 starts at Kanza Park 200 W 13th St, Ottawa, KS 66067

Pool B MA60, MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3, MJ15, FJ15 starts at Forest Park 400 N Locust St, Ottawa, KS

Check in locations will be near Hole 1 for each respective course.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW

At this point, withdrawing from the event will incur a $5 fee from the refund.  No refunds will be given out after 7 AM Friday, no exceptions.  Saturday hole assignments will be posted Friday before Noon.

If you cancel after Friday 7am, but before check-in closes for your particular day, Ams will receive the player pack (to be picked up as I cannot ship umbrellas at this point).  Pros, if you proactively cancel before check in closes, as a thank you for letting me know I'll ship you some Double G jerky (FYI, not required per PDGA).  If anyone, regardless of division, does not proactively cancel and doesn't show up (No-Call, No-Show), you  will forfeit your player pack and entry fee.

The proper way is to use the Withdraw button under the Registered Players tab. You can also access it through your registration email.

To cancel after the hole assignments have been posted, text or call your name and division, with comment you are cancelling to 785-764-2229.

PARKING - 

For both parks there is ample parking. Overflow parking for Kanza can be in the parking lots adjacent to the course parking lot as these businesses are closed on Saturdays.

Forest Park parking is available in various marked parking areas within the park. Please try to not park next to fairways.

RESTROOMS

Forest Park has permanent restrooms that should be open. I am still working on the restroom situation at Kanza. If the city has not placed a portable there yet, Maverick will rent a portable restroom.

CHECK-IN

Saturday, May 22, 2021. Check in is from 8:15 to 9am at the course where you start round 1. Tee time is 9:15, but you need to check in prior to 9AM. At this time there is not a planned players meeting.


SCORING

We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system.  (This is not Udisc).  To access it, go to pdga.com/score.  Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up.  I will have paper scorecards as a backup.  You can also use udisc as a backup.  However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

Both courses have a Short Pad layout and a Long Pad layout.



AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS

Ams will receive a tournament disc and a surprise item. Most of the time I announce the player pack, but this time it’s a surprise for fun.

I will be splitting up the discs so that an assortment of each is available at both parks. If you didn’t get the disc you wanted, you are able to trade it in for what’s available at the second course as long as the disc was not thrown, at all. I.E., no field testing.


LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2

We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2.  Your course will change and all likelihood your hole assignment and card mates will also change.  You will be able to find your new starting hole and second round tee time at the same links above and copied here below.

AWARDS / PAYOUTS

Awards for First place in all divisions and First, Second and Third place for Recreational will be given. The awards will be at the second course where you finish. We will give the award as soon as the clear winner is determined after the second round.  All payouts will be done with Rob at Forest Park. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up the same day, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration.  AM PAYOUTS can either be the same day with inventory I have on-hand, or you can receive a Gift Card code to redeem via my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com.  If you choose the webstore, it will charge you sales tax and shipping.  I do have some items in my tournament bins that are not available online, and I have some stuff online that is not available in my tournament bins.

PDGA POSTING

My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening after the event.  I will certainly try, but please accept my apologies if they are not.
