Request For Proposals: Regional Disc Golf Club Symposium
The Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society is hosting a March 4-5, 2017 weekend retreat for regional disc golf clubs in PA/OH/WV/NY/MD at Camp KonOKwee north of Pittsburgh. The goals of the "Throwdown Hoedown" weekend are to promote equity in our disc golf community, strengthen the leadership and membership of our clubs, and provide fun, competitive formats for disc golf play.
We are seeking proposals and presenters for two 20-minute large group (40 people) sessions and four 40-minute small group (10-20 people) sessions for disc golf promoters, event directors, club leaders and players. Topics could include, for example: promoting women in disc golf, how and why to incorporate your disc golf club, charity partnerships, youth disc golf, and running a state disc golf hall of fame.
Proposals should include a description of what the audience will learn from the session, strategies for audience engagement (a talking head is not enough), audio/visual needs (self-sufficiency is helpful, but we can provide some support), swag or takeaways for participants, and a short biography of presenter(s).
Informative, participatory and motivating presentations and presenters selected will be given VIP treatment for the weekend including catered meals, modern accommodations, a spot on the Presenters team at the Throwdown tournament, and guaranteed fun for entire weekend.
