Ace Fund updated and today's scores are up under "Week 129"; Yes, the Friday Doubles scores have been posted weekly on this site for quite a while now... Only four throwers in the fairgrounds slog today. We decided to play only on the N side, making 18 holes by playing a few twice (see "layouts" under the Courses / Fairgrounds tabs on discgolfscene).
Heavy rain for weeks now has every puddle on the course at its deepest, and there was little support for the notion that our usual puddles should play OB. "Play it where it lies" was the order of the day, and the 3 of us without galoshes got soaked, but it was fun in the rain. CTPs went to James on 18, Dan on 21, and Jason on 23. In the Fifty One tradition, each of these fine gentlemen paid me $1 for the drive on hole 20 that skipped in just a few inches high for an ace. Bounced off the back root of the guardian tree and hit the bottom of the band (then rolled 25' away, but the birdie putt was made). Dan split the V on 15 as cleanly as I can remember anyone doing it.
