Hey Old timers, My GF is on me to live down south a month or two in the winter. Next year I told her we could rent some place down south where it is warm for a month. From what she tells me you have to put a deposit down a year ahead of time. With that said where would be somewhere warm where she would be happy and I could throw some discs and minimize getting bit by a reptile. You all know I like throwing into the brush. :o)
Hey Rob, Charlotte NC, Augusta GA, Austin TX are all warmer and disc golf hot spots. High quantity and quality of couses.
In the spirit of marital harmony, try asking your bride about the state she prefers. Look through DGS to find an A-rated course with other nearby courses. If there's no good match, let her pick the next State. ( etc.)
Augusta GA puts you near PDGA Headquarters territory and north of the gators.

Scottsdale Arizona is beautiful in the winter time, sunny dry and 65-70 daily. You have plenty of nearby options for discgolf and lots of outdoor things to do, hiking/camping and exploring the desert that time of the year is amazing. I think you're going to find it a lot more affordable than Austin and less issues with traffic congestion. Just my .02 from spending winter time in both places. I cannot comment on Charlotte NC but I could imagine it would be a really, really nice spot. DG wise it might be the best spot in the country, but I think for winter weather Arizona beats it handily.
Thanks, I knew I could count on you guys!!!
