Record Turnout this week!

Thank you to all 32 of you who came to league this week!!!! That is a Humpday Huckers record . . . I wonder if the High Birdie Club and Ace Pool had anything to do with the turnout. . . . We still have a high Birdie Club even after the 4/5 rules came into play because we cleared $200 in the pot . . . and the Ace Pool has now reached $108, so I expect to see some more people show up next week. I hope to keep that momentum rolling into the Summer/Fall season but we still have 2 weeks of league left, then 2 weeks of Match Play Playoffs for the top 8 competitors in each division who play at least 5 weeks of league.

I am happy to see a steady turnout in the top 3 divisions and there will be people who qualify for the playoffs but might be left out since only the top 8 qualifiers are given a spot in the playoffs . . . so keep racking up those points and do not forget week #10 (July 9th) is DOUBLE POINTS so a lot of ground can be made up if attendance is high and you play well.

BIRDIE CLUB:
Congratulations to Scott Mushall (Pooty), Brad Weber, and Bob Bawden who each hit 4/5 birdies on the Birdie Club Holes (5,6, 7, 8, and 14) each taking home 10% ($22) of the Birdie Club Pool ($220). We are back down to $154 but that might hit $200 again this upcoming week since we are still matching with some of Pete's money from 2013. If the Birdie Club is not cleared out . . . it will simply carry over to the Summer/Fall session.

ACE POOL:
This continues to climb . . . just waiting for someone to take home some cash . . . $139 going into Week #9. If no one hits an ace next week or the following . .. half will be put towards an after league celebration for everyone . . . and the other half will be donated to my "Course Development Fund" which is used to help small projects get the baskets, tees, and signs in the ground that they need to complete their new course installations in SE WI. I am open to ideas on where to spend this money . . . and it isn't necessarily my projects, so if you know of a course project that could use some help . . . please let me know about it and we will be representing the SE WI area with our donations.

PLAYOFFS . . . Playoffs
So far here are the people who have already qualified for the playoffs based on having played 5 weeks already . . . they still need to finish in the top 8 in points earned of those who qualify . . . but they have already surpassed the attendance minimum:

Open:
1) Robert Whitefeather (52.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 2.0 = 50.0)
2) TJ Webber (47.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 47.0)
3) Robin Pederson (43.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 2.0 = 41.5)
4) Bob Bawden (42.5 Total . . . -1.5 and 2.0 = 39.0)
5) Antonio Cerrillo (39.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 1.0 = 38.0)
6) Mike Harrington (43.0 Total . . . -2.0 and 3.5 = 37.5)
7) Aaron Quinnell (31.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 2.0 = 29.5)
8) Grey Siech (25.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 25.0)

Needs to play the 2 final weeks and surpass one of the people above:
9) Mike Wright (22.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 22.0)

Who wants a higher seed than they currently sit remains to be seen . . . and Mike's attendance will definitely impact that as his score has been averaging better than all but just a couple people in this league in Open. If it helps encourage him to come . . . I still owe him $2 . . . $1 from the last league he attended and $1 from the prior visit which I had neglected to pay him.

Advanced:
1) Tomas Cerillio (34.0 Total . . .-0.0 and 0.0 = 34.0)
2) Ted Adelmann (25.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 25.0)
3) Christopher Jante (24.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 24.0)
4) Dan Sinkey (23.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 23.5)
5) Chase Bryant (14.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 14.5)

Needs to play one of the final 2 weeks of league:
6) Greg Klein (24.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 24.0)
7) Craig Daemmrich (11.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 11.0)

I hope that Greg and Craig play one of the next two weeks . . . just to get into the playoffs. Greg K. is currently playing left-handed because of an inury and while he may have a way to go to full recovery . . . I think he would still have a shot during the playoffs if he decides to attend. Craig . . . I am not sure if you are a fan of poker . . . but as they say all you need is a Chip and a Chair . . . while you might be a low seed . . . any given week you could play your best round and take out a low seed.

Needs to play the final 2 weeks of league to qualify but also finish ahead of at least one of the people listed here:
8) Dan Landisch (14.0 Total . . .-0.0 and 0.0 = 14.0)
9) Peter Roller (8.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 8.5)

Intermediate:
1) Isaac Prest (25.5 Total . . . -1.5 and 1.0 = 23.5)
2) Keith Kenyon (19.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 1.0 = 18.5)
3) Brian Kegley (18.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 18.5)
4) Disc Dog (16.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 1.0 = 15.0)
5) Adam Tuuri (13.5 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 13.5)

Needs to play one of the final 2 weeks of league:
6) Josh Ehrendreich (21.0 Total . . . -0.0 and 0.0 = 21.0)

Recreational, Women, and Juniors will not have any Match Play Playoffs because nobody can qualify with the 5 week minimum.
