Jerry (Gerald) BlandJerry died unexpectedly Sunday, 04/20/14, of natural causes. He is survived immediately by his grandmother, Barbara Jackson; mother, Linda Harrison; sister, Barbara; wife, Jennie; son, Jonathan; and daughter, Marilyn. There are a large number of family members and friends who love him dearly as he loved them.Of all the things he enjoyed, many will remember him for his love of cooking, sneakers, music or disc golf. However, he had no greater love or passion than that for his wife and children.Jerry has been cremated as he wished. For those who want to celebrate his life further, there will be a casual gathering celebrating his life at Wingfoot Lake State Park's Dogwood Shelter, 993 Goodyear Park Blvd. in Suffield at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th. Friends are welcome to speak. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to http://www.shoesthatfit.org/ "Shoes that fit. Every child deserves them"
