we have finalized the dates,fees,payout, charity, and courses for this years winter point series
North East Ohio Disc Golf Alliance Presents
The Frozen Finger Fairway Charity Tour
It will be 5 charity tournaments brought to you by the North East Ohio Disc Golf Alliance for 2011
jan 16th @ medina team jenkins TD (unsanctioned)
jan 30th @ hudson eric centanni TD (unsanctioned)
feb 13th @ warren josh lamberding & eric centanni TD (unsanctioned)
feb 27th @ parma E squared -- eric wernet & eric centanni TD (unsanctioned)
mar 13th @ euclid eric wernet TD (sanctioned)
the $20 entry fee is split as follows per participant
$2 goes to the winter point series
$9 goes to akron food bank
$9 goes to event payout
the point series is simple. every time a player participates in an event he should enter the same division. doing so, he will get a point for himself and a point for every player in his division that he beats. at the end, the top %30 of the field for each division will be payed out the money collected.
the final event will be at sims park in euclid. it will be a PDGA Sanctioned Ice Bowl, worth DOUBLE POINTS for all participants.
each event will payout to those who participate. just as with the pdga...
pros = cash... ams = merchandise
the charity will rotate annually. this year it is the akron food bank.
each events proceeds will be set aside to be added together with the next... all money raised will be donated at one time at the end of the series.
all events have been posted in the tournament section of this site.
it is highly encouraged that all who can... participate. this is for a good cause.
and if you play through the winter you'll be beating all your homies in the spring.
