THE Chuckster  › Discraft Presents: Spike Hyzer's: 36th Sneeky Pete Classic - Under 935 Rated   September 16, 2021 at 12:33pm

Thanks for taking the time to pre-register for The Sneeky Pete Classic. I encourage you to take a few moments to read this email; it will go over things that will help you prepare for the event. While there will be a brief player meeting, a majority of the stuff in this email will not be discussed.
We are using the same layout as last year with a few distance adjustments as well as shorter tees put in on some of the holes for the lower rated divisions.
GOOD NEWS!!!! Rock Creek has been approved to be a permanent course in the future. While we won’t have the exact same layout as we have become used to, it will be here for ever with multiple concrete tees on each hole.

9. DIGTIAL TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: PDGA has a digital leaderboard feature. This will allow you to view what hole you are starting on from your phone and your tee time. The following link should take you to the results page, which will allow you to access the leaderboard: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46438 We will also have a standard leaderboard set up at tournament central for those of you that do not have access to the digital world.
10. Digital Scoring- Digital scoring will be available to use for each round. IF digital scoring is used you will need to log in at PDGA.com/score Password: pete IF DIGITAL SCORING IS USED A BACKUP SOURCE MUST BE USED FOR SCORING. Acceptable backup scoring options are: USDISC or Paper Score Card (issued @ tournament central). 2 FORMS OF SCORING MUST BE USED IF DIGITAL SCORING IS UTILIZED. If paper is used, it is acceptable as the only source for scoring.
11. Pool Assignments:
Pool A: MA2
Pool B: MA3
Pool C: FA1, FA2, FA3, MA50, MA60
Course Assignments –
POOL A – Rock Creek, Cedarock, Cedarock, Rock Creek
POOL B – Cedarock, Well Spring, Rock Creek, Well Spring
POOL C – Well Spring, Rock Creek, Well Spring, Cedarock
12. TEE ASSIGNMENTS/COURSE FLOW –
ROCK CREEK – Gold Tee – MA2 (Day 2), MA50
Blue Tee – FA1, FA3, MA3, MA2 (Day 1), MA60
Make sure to follow the path/direction signs from 5 to 6,7,8 and 9 to 10. Following these paths eliminates inference with another hole. A yellow flag trail from the basket will lead you in the correct direction.
ROCK CREEK TEE PAD ADJUSTMENTS – Because the tee pads are natural, and in some cases in low lying land, we have adjusted the size in preparation for the potential wet weather on Saturday morning. The tee pads will be flagged wider than normal and players are allowed up to 20’ back for a teeing surface.
HOLE 14 RULE AMENDMENT (Rock Creek) – Casual Relief Rule Exception FOR HOLE 14 ONLY. There is potential for a long, narrow puddle of water in the middle of the fairway that will reach the basket. If you are in the puddle, you can take casual relief directly to the side of your lie, NO CLOSER TO THE BASKET. Following regular relief rules would turn a 10’ put into a 100’er.
CEDAROCK – Sneeky Pete Layout. Should be painted with SP to indicate the tee being used. The course will also be played in its normal numbered layout. Tees to be used will be marked with a ‘Blue SP’ to indicate you are using the correct tee.
WELL SPRING – We are using a special ‘All Star’ layout for Well Spring this year to help with flow and safety. The tee pads being used are marked with a GOLD * (see attached picture). The tees being used are: 1L,2L,3S,4L,5L,6L,7L,8S,9L,10L.11S,12L,13L,14L,15L,16L,17S,18S
13. Course OB Rules – Course OB rules will be on the back of the paper scorecard issued before each round. OB rules are also attached to the pre event email.
14. Playoff Loop – In the case of a play off, ANY DIVISION in a playoff for First Place will play a playoff loop consisting of Rock Creek 1 & 2, followed by Cedarock 18 & 17. The playoff will be ‘sudden death’ and if a winner is not determined after the first 4 hole loop, the loop will be repeated until a winner is declared. This playoff loop may change for some divisions depending on how long Rock Creek will be in play when a division finishes its competition.
15. Ace Pool - NO ACE POOL THIS YEAR
16. Lunch – Lunch Break will be 1 hour 15 minutes from the last card turned in. Go to https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/52357 to determine your exact start time for the afternoon round.
Due to Covid, NO FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE this year. An extra half hour has been added to the lunch break to accommodate the potential need to drive to town for food. Bringing your own lunch and eating at the park is highly recommended.
Keep in mind that all three courses have different speeds of play. Some lunch breaks may be longer than others. Also, in some cases your lunch break may be shorter/longer on Saturday/Sunday.
17. Camping – Check into the ranger station for details. $10 per night.
18. Payout – Due to the value of the players’ pack and quality of the trophies for each division, this event is trophy only. Depth of trophy payout is based on division turnout. Please be prepared to go into a playoff or throw off if you are in trophy contention at the end of the tournament.
19. IF YOU DROP OUT PLEASE TEXT 919 770 9713 and let me know you are quitting the event. This helps a lot in tournament organization.
20. WATER –There will be bottled water on the course to top off water bottles. Please bring a small cooler with drinks to top off your bottle during lunch, allowing you to be able to start off with fresh fluid. If people fill up 32 oz. water bottles several times during the day, the water will not last.
