Just a heads up for those of you looking for something to do in the off season, there is an ace race at Mary Beth Doyle (Brown Park) in Ann Arbor on black Friday, November 23rd. You can bring your bag and throw whatever you want. Holes will be shortened. It is $20, $15 if you donate a new disc or two to the dot pot. Because there is no players pack the aces payout pretty good and dots get you a disc. Come out to a fantastic Ann Arbor tradition and get some aces!

We had 19 people come out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for the last day of leagues for this season of Grand River Union Sunday Doubles.

Casey Cook cooked up a decent Cali round and tied Otis and Jeff Lozowsky at -8. Casey took down the throw off, winning $50 first place money. Otis and Jeff took home $20 second place money. Tpills and James took $10 last place money with their -7.

Otis won the $18 cash CTP on hole 3, as well as the merch CTP on hole 5. Malachi took down two merch CTPs on holes 15 and 16.

We had a throw off for half of the ace money which ended up being $212 worth of fun, paying out the three closest. James "give me that ace money" Raupp had to pull out his tape measure because the top three were within inches of each other, but he ended up with the top prize of $112. Tucker took the second prize of $60. Tpills took the last prize of $40.

Congrats to all of our top finishers for the league overall standings. Casey put up a good fight for first but couldn't compete with Tpills' near perfect attendance. The top 10 finishers are entitled to a plastic payout. If you were not there on Sunday and your name is listed below, contact Otis and we will get you some plastic.

There was a lot of interest to play in the Attack of the Alpha III at Ella Sharp Park on November 4th and there isn't anyone available to run leagues so, there will be no leagues on November 4th. We will be back at McCourtie on Sunday November 11th for the finale.

Otis got his hands on some really nice plastic in time for payouts at the finale. If you are in the top 10 after Sunday the 11th's round, you will be getting a payout in plastic.

Ace pool is up to $386. If the ace pool isn't hit on November 11th, there will be a throw off after the round for half of whatever is in the ace pool at that point.

Again, Attack of the Alpha III is a Wolf Pack event on Sunday November 4th at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson Michigan. We encourage you to show up and play a fun event.

We had 10 brave souls come out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for 18 holes of doubles in the cold rain and hail.

Casey Cook and John Wilkes somehow managed to put together a solid round of -7 in the nasty weather, taking first place and $30. James Raupp and Malachi Peterson shot a -4 to take second place and $10 last cash.

Johnathan almost aced hole 2 and managed to stay close to the basket to win the $10 CTP.

James parked hole 3 to win the merch CTP.

Ace pool is up to $386. If nobody hits it on November 11th there will be a throw off for half the ace pool after the finale round.

We had 20 players out for a beautiful, cool day of 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park this Sunday.

Malachi Peterson and Tpills shot a -9 to take first place and $48, winning two weeks in a row. James Raupp shot -8 Cali, as did Tucker and BawBeast. James won the throw off to win $26 second place money. Tucker and BawBeast took $14 third place money.

Bree took down the $20 cash CTP on hole 5 with a parked turnover backhand.

Ace Pool is up to $366. If nobody hits an ace in the next few weeks, there will be a throw off for half of it on Sunday November 11th at the finale. The other half will roll over to the next season of doubles.

Slight pivot. We will be letting the league go till Sunday November 11th. There happens to be a tournament at Ella Sharp Park on Sunday November 4th (Attack of the Alpha III). We realize that many of you will want to go to the tournament as well as the league finale so we decided to push back the finale. There will still be league on the 4th, but the last day of league and payouts for the overall final league standings will be Sunday November 11th at McCourtie Park.

Payouts will go to the top ten in the overall standings as they stand after November 11th's league. Players will be paid out in club plastic. Otis has some goodies.

Malachi Peterson and Tpills shot -13 to take first place and $34. James Raupp and Joel Coppernoll shot a -10 to take second place and $20. Otis and J-Grow shot a -9 to take third place and $10.

The Champ took down the $15 cash CTP on hole 7. Joel got most of the way there on hole 18 to take the merch CTP.

Elijah Wykes and Tpills shot a -9 to take first place and $50. James Raupp and Shannon Havens tied Joel Coppernoll and Jeff Freeland at -7 for second place and it went to a throw off. James super parked hole 1 in the throw off but Jeff squeaked in a forehand just a little closer to win $20 for second. James and Shannon got $10 third place money for their efforts.

James took the merch CTP on hole 11. Joel got the $19 cash CTP on hole.

Ace pool is up to $296. We will be at McCourtie park next Sunday at 1pm.

Don't forget about The Inaugural Jacksonburg BYOP doubles tournament on Saturday October 13th at Ella Sharp Park. Come out and help the Roc Pile crew raise some money for the new course.

James and Malachi brought home the win, shooting -10 and winning $48 for first place. The Champ and Father Freeland shot -6 and took $26 for second place. Rob Darling and Tucker shot -5 and won the throw off for $14 last cash.

Cheeks parked hole 2 and won the $22 CTP. Erika Hein got close on 6 and won a disc CTP. Rob won a disc, getting close on hole 7.

We are still at McCourtie Park this coming Sunday. Ace Pool is up to $158.

Just a heads up, there is another league called No Bounds from the Ann Arbor area that will be traveling to Ella Sharp Park for a round at 1:30pm on Saturday the 22nd. Show them some hospitality and come out to support them.

Casey Cook and JD (who has been playing for 2 weeks) shot -5 and won $14 third place cash. Malachi and Shannon shot a -4 and got $10 last cash.

Tyler and Cheeks edged out the competition with the ace and took the win with -13 taking $50 for first place. Elijah and Tpills shot -12 and took $20 for second place. James and Casey shot -10 and won the throw off for $10 last cash.

Next week we will be at Ella Sharp Park on Thursday and Sunday. Ace pool still has $100 in it.

Thursdays we will be playing Pro-Am doubles now that Thursday GRU Berth Run singles is over. We will be at McCourtie Park at 5:30pm on Thursday August 9th. We will be rotating between McCourtie, JCC and Ella Sharp Park on Thursdays. We are still ironing out the details, It may be as much as $10 all in. The GRU ace pool will be in effect and is currently at $431. We hope to see everyone out there, tell your friends!

Tucker and Casey Cook tied Tpills and Champ for first at -9. Tpills and Champ won the throw off and $48 first place cash. Tucker and Casey took $26 second place cash. Bo Fought and James took third place with a -7 and won $14.

Casey cooked up a park job on hole 1 to take the $24 CTP.

Big Country claimed the island hole as his own and super parked hole 14 to win the MVP disc CTP.

This Sunday we had perfect weather for 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park with 23 players. Big Country and Tpills took down first place with a -12 for $46. Bree and James tied Frame-O and Malachi at -9. Bree and James won the throw off and took $26 of second place money. Frame-O and Malachi took $14 third place money. Hippy John and Bomb City Stoll took $10 last cash for their -8.

James aced hole 12 and took $247 of the ace pool money. Steve Greenly was one group away and aced hole 12 as well, however he was not in the ace pool.

James also hit the basket on hole 1 and didn't ace, but he did get the $23 CTP.

Again, next week will be at Ella Sharp Park at around 1-1:30 pm. Ace pool is at $367.

Jeff Lozowsky and Tpills won the throw off and took $30. Paul Adamisen and Brad Sloan got second in the throw off taking $22. Tucker and Freeland got third in the throw off for $16. Otis and Casey Cook shot -6 and won the throw off for last cash taking $10.

Tyler also got closest on hole 11 to win the $34 CTP.

Chad Sweet won the merch CTP on hole 7 to win the gyro putter donated by Big Country.

It was another super hot day out at McCourtie for 18 holes of doubles with 24 players. Stephen Flores and Joey Rumsey tied Casey Cook and Jgrow at the top with a -9. Stephen and Joey won the throw off and took $46 even though Casey put a sick thumber ace run on it. Cook and Grow took $26 for their efforts. James and Bree tore it up shooting a -6 to tie with Chuck and Tpills for third and fourth place cash. Chuck and Pills won the throw off and took $14. James and Bree took $10.

There was a tie for third, fourth and fifth money at -6 and we had a throw off. Stephen Flores and Jacob Covell won the throw off for $20. Brad Sweet and Joe Peterson won $14 and Tpills and Andy took $10.

Otis won the $25 CTP on hole #12.

A red and green yin yang pro Boss was found out on the course. Otis has it in his truck. You can get it Thursday or Sunday or if you contact Otis.

Geoff Bennett thought it would be more fun if he aced hole #16 and took home $686 for his efforts.

Harold Wilkes Won the longest putt on hole #3.

We had 40 players again for Sunday Doubles! We played the original 18 plus new A and B. Wyatt and Stoll took it down with a -10 (50) and took home $40. J-grow and Dennis took second and $30 with a -9 (51). Jake Wolf and Lee Thomas took third and $26 with a -8 (52).
Chuck/Tyler and Otis/Elijah tied for fourth with a -7 (53). Joey/Tpills and Big Country/Lozowsky tied for last cash.

J-Grow killing it with another cash CTP earning him $36 and Wyatt took the merch CTP.

J-Grow and Bankshot took the win and $40 with a -10 (50). Tyler S. and Tim Weir took second and $30 with a -9 (51). Tpills and Captain Raider took third and $26 with a -8 (52). Bo and Wyatt took fourth and $22 with a -7 (53). Jared and Joe took fifth and $18 with a -6 (54). Otis and Tristan took sixth and $14 with a -5 (55). And getting last cash ($10) is Casey and Adam with a -4 (56).

Casey Cook took the CTP on hole 18 for a disc.
J-Grow hit a tree and ended up parked on hole 8 for the $35 cash CTP.
