Ace race at MBD this Friday, November 23rd!

Just a heads up for those of you looking for something to do in the off season, there is an ace race at Mary Beth Doyle (Brown Park) in Ann Arbor on black Friday, November 23rd. You can bring your bag and throw whatever you want. Holes will be shortened. It is $20, $15 if you donate a new disc or two to the dot pot. Because there is no players pack the aces payout pretty good and dots get you a disc. Come out to a fantastic Ann Arbor tradition and get some aces!

11/11/2018 Grand River Union Sunday Doubles Finale!

We had 19 people come out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for the last day of leagues for this season of Grand River Union Sunday Doubles.

Casey Cook cooked up a decent Cali round and tied Otis and Jeff Lozowsky at -8. Casey took down the throw off, winning $50 first place money. Otis and Jeff took home $20 second place money. Tpills and James took $10 last place money with their -7.

We had 19 people come out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for the last day of leagues for this season of Grand River Union Sunday Doubles.

Casey Cook cooked up a decent Cali round and tied Otis and Jeff Lozowsky at -8. Casey took down the throw off, winning $50 first place money. Otis and Jeff took home $20 second place money. Tpills and James took $10 last place money with their -7.

Otis won the $18 cash CTP on hole 3, as well as the merch CTP on hole 5. Malachi took down two merch CTPs on holes 15 and 16.

We had a throw off for half of the ace money which ended up being $212 worth of fun, paying out the three closest. James "give me that ace money" Raupp had to pull out his tape measure because the top three were within inches of each other, but he ended up with the top prize of $112. Tucker took the second prize of $60. Tpills took the last prize of $40.

Congrats to all of our top finishers for the league overall standings. Casey put up a good fight for first but couldn't compete with Tpills' near perfect attendance. The top 10 finishers are entitled to a plastic payout. If you were not there on Sunday and your name is listed below, contact Otis and we will get you some plastic.

No League on November 4th

There was a lot of interest to play in the Attack of the Alpha III at Ella Sharp Park on November 4th and there isn't anyone available to run leagues so, there will be no leagues on November 4th. We will be back at McCourtie on Sunday November 11th for the finale.

Otis got his hands on some really nice plastic in time for payouts at the finale. If you are in the top 10 after Sunday the 11th's round, you will be getting a payout in plastic.

10/28/2018 Grand River Union Sunday Doubles

We had 10 brave souls come out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for 18 holes of doubles in the cold rain and hail.

Casey Cook and John Wilkes somehow managed to put together a solid round of -7 in the nasty weather, taking first place and $30. James Raupp and Malachi Peterson shot a -4 to take second place and $10 last cash.

Johnathan almost aced hole 2 and managed to stay close to the basket to win the $10 CTP.

We had 20 players out for a beautiful, cool day of 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park this Sunday.

Malachi Peterson and Tpills shot a -9 to take first place and $48, winning two weeks in a row. James Raupp shot -8 Cali, as did Tucker and BawBeast. James won the throw off to win $26 second place money. Tucker and BawBeast took $14 third place money.

Bree took down the $20 cash CTP on hole 5 with a parked turnover backhand.

GRU finale on November 11th TOP TEN overall Paid in plastic

Slight pivot. We will be letting the league go till Sunday November 11th. There happens to be a tournament at Ella Sharp Park on Sunday November 4th (Attack of the Alpha III). We realize that many of you will want to go to the tournament as well as the league finale so we decided to push back the finale. There will still be league on the 4th, but the last day of league and payouts for the overall final league standings will be Sunday November 11th at McCourtie Park.

Slight pivot. We will be letting the league go till Sunday November 11th. There happens to be a tournament at Ella Sharp Park on Sunday November 4th (Attack of the Alpha III). We realize that many of you will want to go to the tournament as well as the league finale so we decided to push back the finale. There will still be league on the 4th, but the last day of league and payouts for the overall final league standings will be Sunday November 11th at McCourtie Park.

Payouts will go to the top ten in the overall standings as they stand after November 11th's league. Players will be paid out in club plastic. Otis has some goodies.

10/14/2018 GRU Sunday Doubles

We had 16 people out for a sunny day of 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park this Sunday.

Malachi Peterson and Tpills shot -13 to take first place and $34. James Raupp and Joel Coppernoll shot a -10 to take second place and $20. Otis and J-Grow shot a -9 to take third place and $10.

The Champ took down the $15 cash CTP on hole 7. Joel got most of the way there on hole 18 to take the merch CTP.

Ace Pool is up to $326. We have three weeks left of Sunday doubles. Our finale will be on November 4th at McCourtie Park.

10/7/2018 GRU Sunday Doubles

We had 20 people out for a cool, misty day of 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park this Sunday.

Elijah Wykes and Tpills shot a -9 to take first place and $50. James Raupp and Shannon Havens tied Joel Coppernoll and Jeff Freeland at -7 for second place and it went to a throw off. James super parked hole 1 in the throw off but Jeff squeaked in a forehand just a little closer to win $20 for second. James and Shannon got $10 third place money for their efforts.

9/23/2018

We had 22 people out for 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park this last Sunday.

James and Malachi brought home the win, shooting -10 and winning $48 for first place. The Champ and Father Freeland shot -6 and took $26 for second place. Rob Darling and Tucker shot -5 and won the throw off for $14 last cash.

Cheeks parked hole 2 and won the $22 CTP. Erika Hein got close on 6 and won a disc CTP. Rob won a disc, getting close on hole 7.

We are still at McCourtie Park this coming Sunday. Ace Pool is up to $158.

9/16/2018 GRU Sunday Doubles

Congrats to Rob Darling for acing hole 1 and collecting $80! We will be at McCourtie on Sunday the 23rd at 1pm. Sorry it took so long to post scores.

Just a heads up, there is another league called No Bounds from the Ann Arbor area that will be traveling to Ella Sharp Park for a round at 1:30pm on Saturday the 22nd. Show them some hospitality and come out to support them.

9/9/2018 GRU Sunday Doubles

We had cool weather with a little bit of mist for 18 holes at McCourtie Park with 20 players.

Joel Coppernoll and James Raupp shot -9, as did John Wilkes and Tpills. Joel and James won the throw off and took home $50 first place money. John and Tpills took home $20 second place money. Casey Cook and Jeff Freeland shot -6 and took $10 last cash.

Colin Overhand threw a backhand on hole 8 and parked it for the $19 CTP.

Ace pool is magically up to $120. See you next week at McCourtie on Sunday at 1pm.

We had a super humid Sunday for 18 holes at Ella Sharp with 26 players.

Curt and Freeland tied for first with Murphy and Joel at -8. Curt and Freeland won the throw off and got $54 of first place cash. Murphy and Joel took $26 second place money. Casey Cook and JD (who has been playing for 2 weeks) shot -5 and won $14 third place cash. Malachi and Shannon shot a -4 and got $10 last cash.

We had great weather and just a little bit of wind with 21 players for 18 holes at McCourtie Park this Sunday.

Cheeks got an ace on hole 12 to win a whopping $435. Congrats on the big ace!

Tyler and Cheeks edged out the competition with the ace and took the win with -13 taking $50 for first place. Elijah and Tpills shot -12 and took $20 for second place. James and Casey shot -10 and won the throw off for $10 last cash.

Next week we will be at Ella Sharp Park on Thursday and Sunday. Ace pool still has $100 in it.

We had a hot day for 18 holes at McCourtie Park with 14 players.

Tucker and Otis shot the hot round of -7 to take the win and $34. Aaron Heath and Jared Glover shot -4 to take second and $14. Ben Smith and James shot a -3 to take third place and $10.

Tucker used his lefty love to get it close on hole 11 and won the $16 CTP.

Ace Pool is up to $475. Sunday Doubles on August 19th will be at McCourtie Park again at 1pm.

Thursday Singles is now Pro-Am doubles

We are continuing Sunday doubles. We will be out at McCourtie on Sunday August 12th.

Thursdays we will be playing Pro-Am doubles now that Thursday GRU Berth Run singles is over. We will be at McCourtie Park at 5:30pm on Thursday August 9th. We will be rotating between McCourtie, JCC and Ella Sharp Park on Thursdays. We are still ironing out the details, It may be as much as $10 all in. The GRU ace pool will be in effect and is currently at $431. We hope to see everyone out there, tell your friends!

This Sunday we had hot and breezy weather at the new course at Ella Sharp Park for 18 holes with 22 players.

Tucker and Casey Cook tied Tpills and Champ for first at -9. Tpills and Champ won the throw off and $48 first place cash. Tucker and Casey took $26 second place cash. Bo Fought and James took third place with a -7 and won $14.

Next week doubles is at Ella Sharp Park around 1-1:30pm Sunday. It will take place after Ella Sharp Sunday League which will start at 9am. Come out to both leagues and check out a great new course.

This Sunday we had perfect weather for 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park with 23 players. Big Country and Tpills took down first place with a -12 for $46. Bree and James tied Frame-O and Malachi at -9. Bree and James won the throw off and took $26 of second place money. Frame-O and Malachi took $14 third place money. Hippy John and Bomb City Stoll took $10 last cash for their -8.

James aced hole 12 and took $247 of the ace pool money. Steve Greenly was one group away and aced hole 12 as well, however he was not in the ace pool.

James also hit the basket on hole 1 and didn't ace, but he did get the $23 CTP.

Again, next week will be at Ella Sharp Park at around 1-1:30 pm. Ace pool is at $367.

We had wind and sprinkles for 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park with 33 players. Tyler Schoening had no trouble with the wind shooting -14 cali, tying the league doubles record and obliterating the cali record. He won $58 for his efforts. Next there was a three way tie at -7. Jeff Lozowsky and Tpills won the throw off and took $30. Paul Adamisen and Brad Sloan got second in the throw off taking $22. Tucker and Freeland got third in the throw off for $16. We had perfect weather with little wind for 18 holes of doubles at McCourtie Park with 22 players. Cheeks and Joel Coppernoll shot a -9 to win the day and $48. The Champ and Casey Cook shot -7 and won the throw off with Bree and Tpills to take $26. Bree and Tpills took $14 last cash.

Tpills won the $22 CTP on hole 10.

We had perfect weather this Sunday for 18 holes of doubles out at McCourtie park with 22 players. Tucker and Joel Coppernoll took the win with a solid -9 and won $48. Brad Sloan and Paul Adamisen took second place and $26. Jay Day and Malachi Peterson won the throw off with Captain Raider and Otis to win $14 last cash.

Jeff Lozowsky parked hole #1 and took the $22 CTP.

It was another super hot day out at McCourtie for 18 holes of doubles with 24 players. Stephen Flores and Joey Rumsey tied Casey Cook and Jgrow at the top with a -9. Stephen and Joey won the throw off and took $46 even though Casey put a sick thumber ace run on it. Cook and Grow took $26 for their efforts. James and Bree tore it up shooting a -6 to tie with Chuck and Tpills for third and fourth place cash. Chuck and Pills won the throw off and took $14. James and Bree took $10.

Stephen and Joey won the throw off and took $46 even though Casey put a sick thumber ace run on it. Cook and Grow took $26 for their efforts. James and Bree tore it up shooting a -6 to tie with Chuck and Tpills for third and fourth place cash. Chuck and Pills won the throw off and took $14. James and Bree took $10.

We had a little bit of rain today for our 18 holes at McCourtie Park with 25 players coming out for doubles today. Ron Howard played the course blind with Casey Cook and they shot a super hot round of -14 for the win and $54. Joey Rumsey and Harold Wilkes shot a -11 taking second place and $26. James and Jeff Lozowsky shot a -8 taking third and $14. Joe Peterson and Tpills took fourth with -6 for $10.

James got the $24 cash CTP on hole 5.

Tpills got the Am Nats mini Buzzz donated by Ron Howard for the merch CTP on hole 2.

It was a windy day out at McCourtie for 18 holes with 34 players. James and Joey Rumsey tied Nate Yarbrough and Tpills at -12. James and Joey won the throw off taking first place and $58. Nate and Tpills took second and $30. Joel Coppernoll and The Champ shot -9 and took third place and $22. Brad Sloan and Tyler Labo shot -7 and took fourth place and $16. Jeff Lozowsky and Casey Cook shot -6 and took the throw off for last cash and $10.

Tucker parked hole #17 and took the $34 CTP.

Jeff Lozowsky won the longest putt on hole #18 and won a disc from the Am Nats players pack.

This Sunday we had a hot and sticky round of 18 holes at McCourtie with 32 sweaty players. Aaron Heath and Casey Cook tied Aaron Gabrielse and Tpills at -11. Gabrielse and Tpills won the throw off and took home $58. Cook and Heath took home $26. Bree and Joel C. shot -10 and took third outright and $20. Brad Sloan and Elijah shot -9 as did Champ and Jared. Sloan and Elijah won the throw off taking $14. Champ and Jared took $10.

Brad Sloan had a great drive on hole 13 netting him the $31 CTP.

Ace Pool is up to $576.

We had some sprinkles but the wind was kind today out at McCourtie for 18 holes of Sunday fun. Tyler and Chuck shot -9 as did Lozowsky and Hippy John for a tie for first place. Tyler and Chuck did some work in the throw off and took first honors and $50. Lozowsky and the Hippy took $26. A Three way tie for third at -6 made for an interesting throw off. Otis and Bryce tied in the throw off with Joey and Scottie and each team took $17. John and Tpills took $10 last cash.

The Ace Pool is up to $484.

Mothers Day brought out 29 people to McCourtie for 18 holes. Casey shot -11 playing Cali and took the win and $50 to contribute to Jessica's Mother's Day extravaganza. Hippy John and Bryce shot a -9 for second and $26. Bill and Tpills shot -8 and took $20 winning the shootout with Brian and Lee who also shot -8 and took $14. Tyler and Heath shot -7 and won the shootout for $10 and last cash.

Tyler parked hole 2 for the $28 CTP.

We got lucky with the weather this Sunday and 32 people came out for 18 holes at McCourtie. J-Grow and Big Country shot a killer round of -13 (41) for the win and $54. Joey/Hippy John and Casey/Otis shot -10 (44). Joey and the Hippy took down the shootout and $26. Casey/Otis took $20. Sloan and Tpills shot -9 (45) for fourth and $14. Lozowsky shot Cali and got a -8 (46) and last cash for $10.

Lozowsky took the cash CTP on hole 11 for $29. Jake Wolf took the pink sparkle disc CTP on hole 3.

Ace pool is up to $318. See you out there next Sunday!

We had 40 players again for Sunday Doubles! We played the original 18 plus new A and B. Wyatt and Stoll took it down with a -10 (50) and took home $40. J-grow and Dennis took second and $30 with a -9 (51). Jake Wolf and Lee Thomas took third and $26 with a -8 (52).
Chuck/Tyler and Otis/Elijah tied for fourth with a -7 (53). Joey/Tpills and Big Country/Lozowsky tied for last cash.

J-Grow killing it with another cash CTP earning him $36 and Wyatt took the merch CTP.

Freezing rain brought out 11 people to McCourtie this Sunday. JGrow and Casey Cook took the win and $38 with a fire round of -9, considering the weather. Brandon Covell and Joey Rumsey took $10, last cash, with a -4. Chuck Wineland took the merch CTP on hole 18 and Tpills took the cash CTP ($10) on hole 7.
