I have to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Joe, Pung, Brett, and Lori. Great job at holding the top spot and having a very solid season finale outing to cap it off. I had an awesome time at Sussex Bowl afterwards with all of you guys. It's a great group of people and I really enjoy my Wednesdays drinking beer with my buds to end a round of Sussex disc golf. A few Other awards not in trophy form are as followed:

Iron Man- Joe Rawlings,Bill Sieving, Brandon Pungarcher for being there every single week!

Hot Round- Dave Olson 41(-13) That's the best score I have ever heard of at Sussex Park, just stop calling it luck!!

Week 10 best scores- Lori Locke 58(+4) was her best score ever at Sussex, and that is an very impressive score. Big props to You and Salem. Brett Doucette 51(-3) scores his best round of leagues, very nice improvement throughout the season. Are you ready to take the jump into Advance??? I'm sure Justin would be cool with that! Dan Kasten 43(-11) is picking up some steam heading into the summer session.

It's going to be fun to see some of the upcoming hot rounds and also possible some aces! Happy Ace hunting to everyone next week, it's building up...

Well . . . We had our best round in league shot tonight . . . by Dave Olson who shot 41 (-13) which is 3 better than his previous best. Congratulations on the hot round Dave!

We also only have one week left in this season. Trophies will be awarded next week and I ask that everyone heads over to Sussex Bowl afterwards for the trophy Ceremony. I am going to try to get there again next week but do not know for sure if I can make that happen.

Normally at the end of a league season I will do a 50/50 split of the ace pool and contribute one half to the course improvement funds, but because Sussex requires the $25 per week . . . I feel that is payment enough for maintenance on this course. Because of this I have decided that if the ace pool is not hit next week that I am going to just roll it over into the next 10 week session which will begin on June 24th. Hopefully that will draw some more people out and we can get back to the 20-25 person average I think this course should draw.

Keep in mind with next session we will not be playing July 8th because the park will be closed so this league session will run until September 2nd.

Sussex Bowl is again on board for sponsorship so please patronize their business and always thank them for the sponsorship whenever possible.

Nice job on an awesome night fella's, lets keep it going! It looks like Brandon "smooth" Pungarcher is settling into a nice little groove as we venture towards the end of this spring session. Everybody bring your game next week! Don't forget the more people the higher payout! tell your friends, people you meet on the course, or your buddies at work about Wednesdays leagues. Lets continue to grow the sport and have some fun doing it.

There is some close competition across the board! Congrats to Jason Barnier who scored his personal best 44 (-10) tonight. Also props to Joe Rawlings who yet again finished first in the open division. BUT there is a new kid in town, Kenny Luse who is very capable of competing for that top spot in open for the remainder of the season. We're half way through the season, and there's plenty of disc golf to be played. I wish everyone the best of luck, unless your in my division.. >:0

You won the ace pool this week for $65 . . . but you were also kind enough to leave the $21 in from this weeks attendance to keep it rolling. I don't expect people to do that but your generosity is appreciated. Ace Pools always help bring people out which in turn makes the league better because of more and better competition.

Congratulations on the hot scores by Joe Rawling and Bill Sieving . . . it looks to be a highly contested Open division.

Jason Barnier is extending his lead in Advancedwith some great scores the last two weeks.

Brett Doucette is also starting to pull away from his brother and the rest of the division.

Lori Locke was the only Woman this week so hopefully Becky, Laura, or some other ladies may join her again in this league. I know the DOLLS league kicks off today and while I love and support the DOLLS very much . . . I also would still love to get 2-3 women per week minimum at any of the leagues I run. I just think it is better for the sport if women see other women at multiple events.

Other reminders:
Keep in mind everyone that the lowest two points weeks get dropped to allow for people who cannot make it to every league. Also . . . Week 10 (the final week) is double points week so anyone can move up with a hot round.

Keep up the good work getting a few people over to Sussex Bowl. I will be in touch with the sponsorship he said he would put forward.

This is always the most difficult week of the year when it comes to new leagues . . . trying to get everyone in an appropriate division. I know most of you and have a pretty fair understanding of your skill level . . . but there are a handful that I have very little to no experience with to accurately judge your skill level so I have no idea if this week was a terrible week or your best round ever. I have put you all into the division I think you should be in . . . UNLESS you indicated a desire to be in a specific division. IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE with your placement please speak up in the next 48 hours if possible. If you had a terrible round and would like to be in a higher division let me know. if you had your personal best and expect to shoot 2-3 worse than you did this week ON AVERAGE . . . I might move you down. if you just want to compete against people of a similar skill level and your score indicates that . . . I am happy to accommodate. The one thing about my leagues that you need to understand is I pay the top 40-50% of a division instead of the top 30% like many leagues and tournaments because all that does is reward people for staying in a lower division. I want everyone to learn from leagues and challenge themselves rather than be complacent and only thinking about what they might win each week especially if they could be competitive in a higher division. I want everyone in a division to have a chance to win on their best night . . . as opposed to winning on a mediocre night because they are better than the rest of their division.

Recommended scoring based on past history and tonight's scores:

Open (<49)
Advanced (49-54)
Intermediate (54-59)
Recreational (>59)
Women (Any female that would not be competitive in the other divisions)

Just in case there was any confusion by people out there . . . league will begin next Wednesday April 15th not tonight. I was hopeful to make it happen a week earlier but I wasn't able to get everything done in time so I stuck with my original plan of April 15th. With that said . . . there are a few people meeting up there tonight to play a Random Doubles round at 5:30-6:00 or so in case you want to join in on a semi-regular round this week. I will see you all the next two weeks for sure before Estabrook league kicks off in Early May.

I am leaning towards beginning this league on Wednesday April 15th because I still have to turn in the paperwork and post the fliers at the course. I am open to the idea of a casual doubles this week April 8th to see who shows up and talk about the league. Please pay attention here as well as the Facebook event page for an update on Tuesday.
