We have had a few offers from various places to relocate the league. I am going to be very selective on the location based off of amenities, etc.. Simple question, if Sunnybrook's location was acceptable, what kind of miles radius would also be ok for the future? Start in between 696 and M59 and in between I 75 and Schoenerr? Is 12 and Dequindre too far? Would Crooks and Auburn be too far?

The sad rumors many people have been hearing are very true. After a long life on 17 Mile Road beginning in 1936 Sunnybrook will be closing their doors forever. This has been a very difficult decision for Randy and his wife to make but it has been made. By the end of September, the new owners will take over the property and begin developing it for industrial use. Randy has contacted his extended Sunnybrook family, all who work there and all who run either golf or bowling leagues and disc golf events so we all can begin focusing on the what next. While we are all is shock about this, I have to congratulate Randy and his family on their newfound future. No more 4:00 am alarm clocks so he can rush to the course to mow the greens or get to the bowling alley so he can oil the lanes. I have had a few offers on a new location on where to move our beloved putting league but I am going to weigh all options before agreeing to a new location. We started out just under 7 years ago not knowing what to do or how to do it. Many people have made great contributions along the way either by experimenting then writing software programs for us to use or by sitting in the chair hours after league has ended to update stats. I cannot thank all of those who have helped in the putting league or at one of the many disc golf events we held here. Thank you! It has been my pleasure. Again, while this is sad news, as the old saying goes, "When one door closes, another opens." I hope to see you on the other side!

Congrats to Derek Michalak for winning the discraft chainstar from the DoubleTap membership!! The putters will be ordered by the end of the week, we should have them by the first Monday of Firefighters league (April 13th). We'll post another messages when they arrive.

The weather outside is slowly starting to turn for the better. It looks like we are in for a warm-up week with temps hovering around 50 degrees. As we all are itching to play with shorts and tee shirts, now is the time, before Bowling Green and summer leagues begin, to buckle down and really focus on putting practice. It looks like we will be at Sunnybrok at the minimum, the next two weeks. It's been a lot of fun this past winter putting indoors but I for one am not sad to see the league coming to its seasonal close. Let's enjoy the next two weeks and see where the weather takes us. Better Make Some Putts!

I cannot say enough about the people who keep this running smooth every week. Nicholas Cooke, Brandon BDub, Samantha Gilbert, Chris Leo, Rob Dahmen, Louis Caponi, Brian Hurley, Mike Cook, Ryan Herzog, and Brian Frawley WPD. Whether it is Double Tap, registration, scoring, inputting live results, organizing, tracking doubles, tracking percentages, music, etc... These guys have allowed me some free time (you cannot tell by my playoff record) to get out from behind the table and actually have a little fun too. Please take a minute next week and thank them by kicking them in the shins. Of course, we need to give a big shout out to Sunnybrook too!
