It all comes down to tonight. Your Spring League Champions will be crowned and it might happen in a thunderous fashion.

Points races are still very tight in Pro (with me just edging Brad Weber currently), Danny and Mike are neck and neck in Semi-Pro, Pat Brah is looking to fend off Ryan Miller in Advanced and Mark and Josh are close in Amateur.

The largest ace pool we've had in many years was in fact hit my Mike Harrington who nabbed hole 8 for the $222 reward. Nice shot by Mike.

Tonight we'll also be giving away a portable basket based on your mulligan purchases. Looking to have a good time at our sponsor's place, Quaker Steak & Lube following our competition! See you there!

It's week 8 and that means the action is heating up as we take 8 of your best 10 nights in the league. Have you been to all of them? Which one will you drop?

I'll lead with the big news which is that I have secured Quaker State & Lube as a league sponsor! Sure, they have crazy bike nights on Wednesday but they told us to park in the park and ride and come on in and we'll even have our own room and likely a familiar server week after week. Awesome!

Double points night also gave use the nicest weather of the year. Jonny V is your classic definition of a 'fair weather golfer' and he proved that by finally showing up and then shooting the hot score of -15.

Cody Naas shot -10 to win semi-pro while Pat Brah put together one of his best rounds to date to take big points in Advanced. Chris Daskum can't stay in Amateur too long if he shoots under par too often but he did win the 5 person field which is our largest to date this spring.

Loriena played consistent as she always does and that netted her 4 points and the win for the night.

Weather looks AWESOME for the first day of May so let's get back to it and see if we can scorch the course with some hot rounds!

Besides the howling winds - it was actually a decent night for some disc golf. The rain didn't rear it's ugly head what so ever.

The crew of hard cores was a little light tonight but no aces were hit and that will carry over into DOUBLE POINTS NIGHT next week.

Thank you to everyone that came out for what should be the last of the nasty weather for the rest of the year. I'm guessing that even if we have some rain and wind next week, it won't be as bad as the wind we had tonight and hence I'm declaring that upcoming weeks will ONLY be nicer for the rest of the year.

I'll see a ton of our 'regulars' out at The View this Saturday for the Vibram Birdie Bash Gary to the Oh and I are hosting. More than 60 players already registered and I have a few extra player's packs if you are still looking to play.

With that being said - LEAGUE IS ON!

Nothing but light rain is one thing but a 50% chance of rain along with 20 mph winds and temps that feel like the 20's doesn't sound remotely enjoyable.

Can anyone make a convincing argument for us to still have league tonight?

PS - I'm still all about heading to Quaker Steak for instance but golfing just doesn't seem fun.

Hello and welcome everyone to the main league page for the Wednesday Weeklies. The first week is in the books and here are a few highlights.

Let's start with the aces! Yeah, ACES. Robin Lee had never aced prior to showing up on Wednesday and sure enough he aced hole 16. Too bad it was only during his practice round, right? Well, that didn't matter because he then doubled his career ace count by scoring a "1" on hole 9 during the round! Congrats Robin who took the $32 ace pool with him as he pulled out of the parking lot!

The divisions are going to see a little shaking out here and there over the first few weeks. Some players played significantly above their normal averages which is great to see. However, if those hot scores remain consistent, they might get bumped up a division. Yeah, I'm talking about the top 3 or so guys in semi-pro and maybe even Ryan in Advanced :) On the flip side, we saw some less than normal scores out of some top performers in Open and a -9 looked to be the hot score there. I would put money on it that -9 will not be the winning score in Open anytime after the first week!

Awesome to see 2 new women out competing this week and we hope to see even more as the season rolls on.

Originally it was posted that we would start up our 10 week spring league today but between the weather and the brief poll that I did, I've decided to push it back one week to Wednesday, March 27.

We are looking forward to another year of great golf at Valley View.

Regardless of the weather conditions - we WILL start the 10 week league on Wednesday, March 27th! Check in from 5:00 - 5:50.
