Congrats to all our division top 3 winners and a big BO-YA to our division winners...
Beginner - Nick Pecunia
Novice - Drew Speth
Recreational - Matt Klowak
Adv. Am - Luca Trampe
Pro - Tom Pehowski

Drew ran away with a first place finish, but I believe he will still be in the Novice Division.
Matt had the Rec. division wrapped up a couple of weeks ago...welcome to the Adv. division Matt.
Luca defeated his older brothers mouth and disc bag all in about an hour and a half. Great job Luca!
Tom Pehowski comes out on top after a pile up on points with Brett but comes out with a sudden death win and first in the Pro division.

Last week coming up next Thursday 6-25. I will not be there; I will be up at Sandy Point Disc Ranch and Resort in Lac du Flambeau Wisconsin for the week. Nolan and Terry will be there. Let’s give it up to Nolan for running another season at Spassland... Thank you Nolan! And to Terry Miller and Lifetime Disc Sports for hosting the league. It’s real nice to have all that disc golf equipment come to us at league. Thank you Terry!
Let’s get on with it...
Good thing league was Thursday and not Friday. We just came back from a bike ride on Friday thru Spassland and it’s a swamp! Although we battled a bit of wind on Thursday its a bunch better than playing on a soaked course.
7 year old Nick P. takes off 3 more strokes from his first week 5-28, for a total of 13 strokes better since his first week. Nick made a couple of 20 foot putts and one long 30 footer on hole 5 for a 4 on the hole! Keep it up Nick!
Drew has a cushion but that could change with a few more Novice players showing up.
In the Rec. division Matt K. has a comfortable lead on the field. Pat R. came to play Thurs. night shooting a season low of minus 1. Nice shooting Pat.
In the Open division John P. leads by 3.5 points over Brett G. who has been playing very well these last couple of weeks. Tom P is making a charge for both John and Brett. If Terry plays next week Brett's going to have to shoot a nearly perfect round to take first. Or not...we'll see.
On to the fiercest battle of the league, not just for 1st place but this is an epic battle of brother vs. brother.
Danny and Luca have traded the lead a couple of times this season and Danny just took the lead back from Luca and the point difference is just 1/2 a point. Who will show up next week and take it, older brother Danny or younger brother Luca...Luca has the distance and Danny has the accuracy, Danny has hit around the baskets these last couple of weeks, is Danny due for and ACE? I'll tell you what I think, I'm a younger brother and I have to go with Luca, sorry Danny. After 7 weeks of play they both have an average score of minus 2.
Who will take the Advanced title Danny or Luca.
It’s a haymaker just before the first blow! It’s a shaken up soda just before its opened! It’s a cop scene in a Tarrentino movie! It’s the odd man on an unexplored planet with Bones, Spock and Capt. Kirk!

What a wonderful evening for some disc golf!
We had another ACE, Jason Wendorf got a hole in one on hole number 4. He said it was in from the moment it left his hand. Congratulations Jason!
We have some new Pro players this week that have been bumped up from Advanced division and looks like there going to give me a run for first place. We also have a new add on for next week in the Pro division, Tom Pehowski...Tom shot an eleven down this evening, very nice Tom welcome to the Pro division. My 7 year old son Nick shaved off 4 strokes off his last weeks score to give him a 98(+44) sounds like allot because it is but he loves it! I think I will do the same next week and put Nick and I in the same group and grab a third guy to make a threesome. It’s a bit of a long round but if you want some advice from a touring pro this could be your chance to ask me…any and all your disc golf questions.
Great to see Tammy out there this week, she ran league with Nolan from the beginning. Nolan and Tammy have had a big hand in getting the tee-pads and soon the reader board at the course.

I'd like to shake it up a little for next week 6-4-09
I'm moving Brett G and Eric P to the Open division, if anyone would like to discuss this please let me know...Tom also had a great round, I would say if Tom keeps up the scores I may ask him to move up also. These moves are meant to keep the divisions competative, and I hope that we can keep it fair for everyone.
I had my younger son Nick play this evening and it took a bit longer than usual. I'd like to start his round earlier with myself playing and one more person. That would make for a threesome. If we start 15 minutes earlier we won't finish so late. I'd like to try it next week and see what happens.

The round started off with a bit of wind from the east. This made for easy drives on 1, 3, but tricky putts if you blew by the pins on any of the holes. We did have some chain smakin' from Danny Trampe on hole 4. We could hear the roar from fairway 5 coming from the tee pad on hole 4. It did not stick to the basket this time but I know he's been getting closer. Maybe next week Danny!
A Tie in the Novice division with Drew Speth and Nick Enk, Drew won the playoff. Nick and Drew are still in a tight race for first place with two weeks to go.
Pat Riesch won the Rec. division shooting a plus 1 over Matt Klowak's plus 2. Matt leads the division and probably will not be caught, so it will be a tight race for second and third.
Danny Trampe had an off afternoon getting a lesson from Luca Trampe who shot a minus 3 to Danny's minus 1. Luca leads the division by half a point!
In the Open Johnny Rumble shoots a negative 14 to regain first place over Eric Peters, who just moved up from Advanced. Tom Tehowski had a good showing at 8 down and only one point behind first. How will it end? Will Rumble Crumble? We'll know in two weeks when the dust settles!
Nick Pecunia shaves another 6 strokes off his score from last week and 10 strokes total from his first week. Nick shot a 92 or plus 38, great going Nick! Nick never complains or gets discouraged and just wants to shot 4's on all the holes. Way to go Nick.

We will be running this league until June 25th. This will bring the league to 8 weeks. We'll do awards on the 25th. We will have a by week on July 2nd and start up the next league the following Thursday July 9th for an 8 week summer league.

We'll see you all next week. Practice your putts and get to a field to work on your drives.
