Awards will be Wednesday 9/10 @ Burchfield Park starting around 6:00 PM I will have Shirts, Awards, Baskets, and we'll settle up ace pool for both pools. B Pool Ace Pool was cleared out last week by Lucas Lundberg for $804! Other B Pool Aces were Jack Mull Week 1 for $67, and Derek Baine Week 3 for $134. A Pool were a bunch of slackers on the ace pool front, and there was only one recorded ace all season, Brian Blackwood in Week 1 for $48. There is $684 in the A Pool coffer at the moment, and all A Pool players who paid in (and show up tomorrow) will throw off for 4 CTP's each worth $171.

Good Afternoon Everyone, thanks Marco for the shout out on the state of Fitz, it sounds like that course is dead to us for the remainder of the season. To that effect, I have tweaked the schedule to remove Fitz from our remaining rounds. The next few weeks will have A Pool at Trinity, Burch, Woods, and B Pool at Burch, Tadpole, Burch.

This week A Pool is at Trinity, playing the main course and 17 from the long pad.

Regarding Fitz this week for B Pool: the course is unplayable.

#5 doesn't have basket.

#6's tee pad is barricaded off. Additionally, there was a swath of earth paved before the basket, so it is a large mud-channel.

#9 has had an earth mound put directly infront of the tee-pad. If you don't recall, this is the hole where you throw out from the woods, over the concrete patio area with the cage back into the woods. The earth mound blocks any reasonable shot; it is about 10 ft tall.

#17 has pipes put off to the side and and barricaded off (I lost a raptor in there tonight - but hey, what else is new).

#18 is not playable as all the earth movers/front loaders are parked where the disc needs to turn and head towards the basket. Also, that swath of earth that was carved from #6 continues through to #18 and a small black tarp-fence is right along side of the basket, so you throw over the power-equipment and into the mud trail to make the putt.

Playing it by myself, it was certainly an adventure. Rolling out there with 40-50 people doesn't seem reasonable given the above.

Good Afternoon Everyone! Sorry for the late post, though UDisc rounds are already up and active, and per the schedule A Pool is Playing River's Edge & B Pool is playing Trinity Church!

To address a couple of the things that I have been hearing that have been issues on the course.

If you are starting your round before 5, you must be playing before 5. No starting your round on UDisc and screwing around. Tee off no later than 5pm. Again, no groups of 5 are allowed unless they are approved in advance by myself or Emily. If you are starting your round at the point where you will not finish it before shotgun start at 6pm you need to start on hole 1, not in the middle of the course. Pay attention to your own pace of play, I don't like hearing reports that players are screwing around on their phones during league rounds and holding up other players.

There are a lot of players to be mindful of on the course during league days, and some waits are to be expected.

However, there are rules in place and when they are broken, delays cascade across the course like dominoes making the experience worse for everyone. I will continue to assess the latest allowed start time, and monitor cards (Udisc shows me how many people are on your card you know) and starting this week, if you are in a group of 5 and it has not been approved by myself or Emily, I will not count your score for the week. Further violations of that rule may lead to expulsion from the league.

Happy Monday Everyone! We/I Had a little snafu this weekend with the points, as DGS decided to go ahead and automagically calculate everything based on an incorrect system. I have corrected it, and all points for all rounds have been posted and should be accurate. If you notice anything off about any of your rounds, please let me know.

This week will be our second bye week, and a fun tradition - the red, white, and blue 3 disc challenge! Each player can use only 3 discs, one of each color; red, white, & blue. We will do our normal A Pool and B Pool partners, and play best shot doubles 24 holes of Renegade's Trail Short-Short. $5 buy in for each player, all to be paid out at the end of the night, & divided up based on attendance.

I have also seen the comments and concerns regarding slow play times & start times. I will address this in a further post before our next official round. Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!

Good Afternoon Everyone, as I stated yesterday, I have been watching the weather for today. It does look like thunderstorms are very likely to hit the area this evening, as a rather large storm front is coming in from the southwest. As such, I will be cancelling tonight's round out of caution to player safety.

I have edited the UDisc events to reflect the round is cancelled, and will also post makeup rounds that will be available starting Thursday, and running through Tuesday next week. Same rules as last time, if you have played your round already prior to the cancellation, you can still play the makeup round, but if you play the makeup round then you must take your makeup round score, for better or for worse.

If you do decide to still play your round tonight, please be safe and do not play if there is thunder, lightning, hail, or tornadoes :-)

Good Afternoon Everyone, I apologize for being a little behind on housekeeping & points. I have a bit of catch up to do, and will be addressing that this week, Thursday I am off, and should be able to address the last bit of division point total adjustments.

Most importantly, I wanted to mention the possibility of dangerous weather headed to town 6/18. Thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes all are possible. I will be keeping an eye on the weather, and plan to make an announcement no later than 2pm (but probably closer to 1) if we will cancel and extend for a makeup round.

Another note and reminder that as we are playing these longer and tougher courses, refrain from groups larger than 4 unless you have spoken to Emily or I and have had them approved. If you're playing in the morning, larger groups are fine, but if you're going to be running into the 6pm rush of players, large groups should be avoided.

Also, if you are starting your round prior to 5, you should start your round on hole 1. The shotgun start at 6 should be filling the starting holes first to avoid running into players in the middle of their round, and if you are starting later in the course, you could be inadvertently causing course congestion when you loop back around to the start.

Good Morning Everyone, Reminder for anyone still needing to play the makeup round, that today is your last day to do so! I have some more points & division tweaking to do yet on the leaderboards, but expect that to happen this week.

All of the next few weeks are up in UDisc for the league, until our next Bye week around the 4th of July. However, this week A Pool will be playing Sleepy Hollow, and B Pool will be playing Rivers Edge. A reminder for both pools at both courses, please try to keep up your pace of play and start your timers on lost discs. These courses can be kind of tough for the whole league to get through, so be mindful of everyone out there so we can all finish in the daylight. Thanks!

Good Afternoon Everyone, as I mentioned earlier I have been keeping an eye on the weather for today, and the storm system moving north right now is leaving a trail of lightning strikes in its wake. Based on my very scientific approach of rewinding and fast forwarding the radar, and measuring the distance traveled, there is a distinct possibility that the front with lightning could be upon the Lansing area mid-late round for any players starting tonight at the 6pm shotgun.

Out of caution and respect for player safety, we will be cancelling tonight's round and creating a makeup round. You may still play your round tonight if you desire, but please if you do, be safe. If you have already played your round, and 8 players have at the time of writing this, you have the option to play the makeup round, or keep your score. If you play the makeup round, you MUST keep your makeup round score, you do not get to pick the better of the two.

Same rules apply for the makeup round, you need at least 3 league players on a card to score your round. Don't forget about our discord https://discord.gg/8xVWzpwq3R if you need to coordinate players.

Good morning everyone, as you may or may not know, it is going to RAIN today, and for better or worse, we will play in the rain. That being said, there is also a chance for thunderstorms. I will be keeping an eye on the radar and the lightning trackers, if there is any lightning in the areas of Sleepy or Burch today, we will be cancelling play and creating a makeup round. If play is cancelled, it will be reflected in the UDisc app.

If the round is cancelled, I will create another event that will be open Thursday-Tuesday. Anyone who has completed their round prior to the cancellation has the option of playing the makeup round if they want, or keeping their original score. If you play the makeup round, you have to take the score from the makeup round, you do not have the option of playing both and keeping the better score.
