Hello everyone. I am trying to find some people interested in upgrading the disc golf course at Hopkins Lake in owosso. If you haven't been there in a couple of years, it is already much improved. Tim law of the rainbow bar raised funds to put in excellent signage, no more getting totally lost out there. He also cleared out a lot of the brush. Unfortunately, personal matters have kept him from doing a lot this year, but I am a friend have been trying to take up the slack. I have put in two cinder block keypads, and have a commitment from the city to put in four to five more concrete pads next year. I think what we really need the most is for some local people to adopt a hole and maintain it a couple of times a year. Most of the holes take care of themselves, but holes two through seven require some weed whipping and even brush control probably twice a year. What would be even better is if we could get supplies and expertise to construct a basic bridge over the drainage ditch that you have to cross to play holes five six and seven. Anyone with a connection for repurposed lumber would be great. I probably have a connection to get used telephone poles which would be great for the main spans.
The course has a fair amount of potential. It is a good mix of short and medium to slightly long holes, there is an above average amount of elevation change, and water does come into play as well. I'd like to make this a good course, but I can't do it alone.
On a personal note, I am hoping to get back a disc that I lost at Sleepy Hollow a while back. It is a disctroyer sparrow, White, that was sold to me personally in Estonia by the owner of the company. I forgot it was in my bag and threw it in error, didn't even have a chance to put my name and number on it. I would gladly give a reward for its return in good condition.

With a heavy heart I will spearhead a fundraiser for my Discgold Uncle Darrell Jones. My intention is to raise the 800 dollars needed for a bench to be planted in his sitting spot at Grand Woods. I also posted on the Capital City Renegades page and as posted I'm not sure of a date yet but a fundraising event and celebration of life will be put together soon. Please if you have anything to donate for raffles let me know. I'm sure we all can raise the amount needed for a bench or something for a memorial in honor of this CCR og and all around advocate for the sport. I'll be posting again in a few days once I wrap my uead around things.

Gauging interest - If I decide to run cash singles on Mondays again who all would be interested?
4/24-9/18,6 pm start @ Birchfield, Par 3 layouts, weekly payout to top 3rd, 2$ Ace Pool, 5$ into pot.
Also thinking of doing overall pot of 3$ that would pay out the top three at the end. Total buy in 10$ a week.
Points would be awarded every week using the same system as Wednesday. Would only offer upper and lower division.

Summer League 2022 is around the corner and I’ve heard we are starting in April.
Question: Will this years edition be played in the same Flex format as we have played since the pandemic started. With the growth of our league and the presence of Covid variants still a threat it would seems to be a given but I’d like to know officially. Someone seems to ask me everyday and I wish I had a answer for them.

The CCR will be hosting a Disc Golf clinic with Discrafts own Reid Frescura and Vanessa VanDyken on Friday July 17th 6:30-7:30pm at Burchfield Park. The cost will be $25 a person paid directly to the players to help them on their tour this season. The clinic comes with a disc of your choice from Reid and Vanessa’s stash of plastic as well as 30 mins with each pro to help iron out your game. This is available to everyone you don’t not have to be playing the March Mush Makeup to attend.

PDGA sanctioned, no requirement to have a PDGA number or be up to date however both are always encouraged.
