Good Morning and I hope everyone had a sage and Happy New Year's Eve,
Thank you to the 143 players who attended the 2022 Year-End Open. As mentioned in the event details, this was a fundraiser event for the bad Rock Creek Course, specifically to work on the landing green for hole #2 and to help prepare the event for the 2023 DGPT Silver Series Kansas City Wide Open.
We raised $1800 to go towards that cause. Now once that project is complete and you play that hol ...

We are on our way but currently have only two of us. Are you expecting any others?

Will there be a limit on the registration?
Thanks

Also, just a clarifying question regarding Hole 2's OB.
There are a bunch of new rocks that were put in -- into the pond, that extends from the shore.. If you land on those rocks, are you safe?

I see in the pictures there is a layout, but it doesn't mention the basket locations. Are we playing blues? or a mix with some golds? (The distances don't always help out with what pin we're playing)

Anyone planning to play early morning and have an extra spot on the card?
We are planning to be one of the first cards out. There is only 2 maybe 3 of us, so we’ll be glad to play with you.

When will the raffle take place? Just curious if we are not around to receive if our name is picked.
It will take place at noon, once the flex portion is over. If you are not available, I will contact you and we will make arrangements

I’m looking for more information on the payout! Will it be to a local store or and online store?
Players have there choice of location from one of our local retail stores for amateur payout.

Also, I am coming solo and I’m very new to the area so hopefully I can find someone to tee off with that knows the course and rules haha.
I would wear layers and say probably bag over car if there's any chance of rain. Not familiar with the course but I'm reasonably up on rules and would be happy to play with you.

This is my first sanctioned PDGA event and first time I have played this time of year. What tips do people have. Bag or cart? Anything special I need to do to my discs? Any helpful tips are appreciated and looking forward to the event!
Make sure you bring a mini, it can be more helpful than you think. Tbh bag or cart is personal preference so whatever you’re feeling. And if you have any stickers on your discs you should take those off as they won’t be legal discs if they are on them.

Is the course going to be set in bad rock gold?
No, the course is set and the details are listed in the picture section

This is a sanctioned event correct?

Any rough idea on the layout that will be used?
Its possible, but it would be closer to 200. I usually dont worry about a cap on flex starts
