Welcome from the PES 602 Class!
Opening Statements:
Welcome to the 2020 Wilddeer Open Disc Golf Tournament. We are excited to have everyone participate in this great event. First, we would like to thank all of the sponsors: Taco Boy, Right Way, Menna’s Joint, Big Apple Bagels, Bigby, Grub Hubb Food Truck, and Karma Kat Café for their support of this event.
We would like to acknowledge the reason for this event. Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome is the most severe of all congenital heart defects (CHDs). 1 out of every 3,841 babies born in the United States each year is born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Sawyer’s Light was created with purpose to provide support and encourage families with children who have CHDs at Mott Children’s Hospital. Thank you for coming out and supporting our cause and let’s have a great day of disc golf.
After Round 1- Lunch:
Welcome back from the first round of play. At this time, we would like to recognize Jordan and Danielle Bruursema, founders of the Sawyer’s Light Foundation. They will give an overview of why we are here today and highlight the foundation’s mission and cause. Please enjoy lunch provided by The Grub Hubb LLC. The second round of play will commence exactly one hour from now.
After Final Round- Awards:
Welcome back from the final round of the 2020 Wilddeer Open Disc Golf Tournament. To commence the award ceremony and announce the winners for each division, we recognize tournament director John “Nacho” Norkowski.
