How does the second round work traditional doubles with a mulligan man??

He/She are playing their own 18 holes with an optional extra throw per hole. As I said, your team will become two separate teams for this round. One traditional 2 person doubles team and one 1 person team. The player for the 1 person team will get an extra throw on each hole, just like if they were the "mulligan man" when playing doubles.

So I thought I understood the 2nd round. Then the email came out and said it differently. Does the single person have a single mulligan per hole, or is the person a “doubles team” and throws two shots at every opportunity?
