There is a very small chance of frost (not likely), get everyone out on time for a change and this would be no problem. I rarely complain about how tournaments are run if ever, but this is some last minute whack shit. If you didn't get in, try again next year. Very disappointed in this decision.

I really think this should be reconsidered... We were told two round of 18 and I won't lie, I am disappointed to only be playing 9 the second round. I agree with frost in the morning could cause a late start and we may have to deal with cutting it close to darkness. But won't we be in the same boat having 80 players on only 9 holes? I don't run tournaments so I don't know. But If we get a good start time, aka no screwing around in the morning, we should have enough time for two rounds of 18. Just my two cents.

We moved it up to 80 and I agree everyone knows this fills and now playing two 18's, which we are doing, is going to happen. So with that being said I want everyone ready at 9:10 for the players meeting so we can get others ASAP. I don't want to be calling people in for 15 minutes to get it started. As far as lunch goes the cafeteria number will be posted on the brochure so lease call ahead. We are going to do an hour lunch from the time the first card is in. So if you play slow bring your own lunch or eat on the course. I for one thing DO NOT want to finish in the dark.

The majority of the tourney stuff will be ready when we walk in the door. The board and CTPs will be set. Frost should not be an issue, Sunnybrook just told me the latest it has been is 9:15. With the expected weather low around 40 we should be good. Checking people in and getting them ready for the players meeting are two issues that are player dependent...

Sunset is slated for around 6:30 pm, so yeah it might actually cause an issue with it. Depending on how long the lunch break is and getting started back up, its hard to know if we would get done with ample light. Tack that on with the rain forecast with wind, it will probably be a longer round than normal.

Mark and Tim that is the biggest issue I was contemplating about. Even as is and having everyone play shorts the second round is going to be a stretch. Last year we played only 10 the seconds round and just finished before dark with 88 players.

Jeff, adding two holes is out of the question. It would be allowing 8 teams, 16 people, to register. In doing that I think daylight would be a major concern. As is now I think we could even play the second round long/shorts. Since the only teams playing longs second round would be Open and Advanced.

Daylight is always an issue with this doubles tourney. It is a time consuming course to begin with so any extra time puts darkness closer. Second, if we get delayed in the morning like in the past because of frost it throws everything up in the air with time. I would rather have 2 guaranteed rounds of 18 then a possibility of a shortened 2nd round because of light.

After much deliberation and seeing what others wanted we are going to go ahead and play two rounds of 18. Impersonally did not want to expand to 80 players either. A refund is always available since what is offered was changed. I'm just hoping by adding the 16 people won't delay things.

Maybe it's just me, but it was already made clear that it was to be capped at 80 and now it's not. I couldn't get in because my partner told me just a little while ago that he had to work now, so I went ahead and found someone else and now I'm screwed. It just doesn't make sense.
