Good evening to you all,
Craig & I would like to thank all of you for making this tournament your choice to celebrate the Inaugural National Disc Golf  Day with us at Oregon Park for what is sure to be a grueling test of both mental and physical strength. Without all of you, this tournament would not be as successful as it is shaping up to be.
To the point, we have both fielded some sincere perspectives from participants since the additional 16 players were promoted to the registration list. So we would like to address those concerns and be transparent as to how we look to minimize those concerns so that all players can enjoy the tournament. We want you to concentrate on executing your intended shots off the tee, and sinking putts from inside the 10M Circle.
Water-  There will be water stations on at least every 4-6 holes. Â
Shade- There will be tents on Hole 1, Hole 6, and Hole 11. We feel there is enough shade throughout the day on the rest of the holes.
5 on a Card- There will be no more than 6 cards that have 5 Players on them. The vast majority will be made up of Open/Open Masters players. There will be a couple scattered through the field, on shorter holes where a back up is not expected.
19th Hole- There will be an extra hole, 10B as we will call it, where you will play from 2 Temporary tee Pads, to two Temporary Basket Locations. Upon exiting the woods line from 10, you will come upon a temporary Silver Tee Pad at the bottom of the hill that will play towards on of two baskets. The Gold Tee Pad will be at the top of the hill. Â
 Â
The Silver Basket position will be around the baseball field with a mandatory right of the Left Field Foul Pole. The Gold Basket Location will either be placed on the pitchers mound or at home plate inside the baseball field, with the baseball field playing as a island. Drop Zones will be marked for those that miss the mandatory and/or do not make their shot come to rest in bounds.
Time/Daylight- We will also be instituting a mandatory check in time of no later than 7:29AM. For those paying cash day of, you will have to be registered with the Tournament Directors and have your entry fees paid no later than 7:15AM. Â
 Â
Anyone failing to meet these time frames will be subject to losing their place in the tournament and forfeiting any funds already paid to the event. If you are able to go ahead and pay your registration fees via PayPal, send your payment to [email redacted] by no later than 8PM Thursday, 8/4/16.
We will also not accept any walk ups regardless if anyone drops or does not show up in time. Either you are in now, or you have 0% chance of playing. I personally do not want anyone to drop or to have overslept, but these are the conditions.
We will be shortening the previously scheduled hour lunch after the last card has been turned in to 30 minutes. It will be good tonhave bagged snacks with you throughout the day.
For those that do not bring their lunch, we will be providing Pizza for all participants onsite. You will be limited to 2 slices of pizza. We will post on the Event Page as well as the Cobb & Atlanta Disc Golf Club pages as to the start time of the second round. Â
 Â
For those that do leave for lunch, it will be imperative that you make it back in time to be at your tee at the scheduled start of the 3/4 rounds. If you show up late, you will not be immediately disqualified, you will just be imposed a 4 stroke penalty plus par on however many holes you may have missed. This is a PDGA Sanctioned Event, and that is the rule in that situation.
It will be important for all players to exercise the 30 second rule, lost disc rule, and a provisional throw where needed. I have no doubt we will all finish before the sun sets.
If anyone wishes to drop out of the tournament, no questions will be asked and you will be refunded 100% of all the registration fees, Ace fund, and/or sponsorship monies already paid. just contact me via Facebook, email as a reply to this email, or thru texting or calling 404-453-5415 BEFORE 8PM Thursday 8/4/16.
If you ordered and paid for a shirt we will work together to make arrangements to get those to you.
As a reminder this is a PDGA Sanctioned event conducted on Cobb County Property where all rules will be followed without incident or disqualification and/or banishment from future Cobb Disc Golf Club Events may occur.
We will have Cash CTP'S as well as Free CTP'S during the 3/4 rounds. We also have over $875 in added cash to be spread out to all divisions of 3 or more participants.
We hope to have addressed all concerns to all the concerns that have been broughtto our attention.
I hope I don't hear a peep from anyone and look forward to seeing you all Saturday at 7:30 for the players meeting.
