Caddy Guide
General Rules:
-This park has 27 holes, and the majority of them have multiple tees and baskets. Please
make sure you are throwing to/from the correct locations to avoid penalty strokes.
-Please refer to the tee signs for all OB and Mandos.
-The Two Meter Rule is not in effect.
-Please be mindful of walkers on the paths.
-With the exception of the walk between holes 19 and 20, this course is very cart friendly.
Hole Specific Rules
HOLE 1- OB Left on or across path
HOLE 2- OB Right on or across path, MANDO to the left of the utility pole
HOLE 3- OB Left on or across path
HOLE 4- OB Pond, normal OB rules apply
HOLE 5- OB long on or across path, fairway of Hole 6 is also OB
HOLE 6- Tennis court, sand volleyball court, and fairway of HOLE 8 are OB
HOLE 7- Sand volleyball court is OB, road and across Long is OB
HOLE 8- (tee from the road, play to pond basket) OB pond, OB Right in the gully
HOLE 9- OB pond, proceed to Drop Zone if you go OB
HOLE 10- Road short of basket plays as a river, OB behind basket on or over the road
HOLE 11- Road that crosses early fairway plays as OB, OB right on or across road
HOLE 12- On the road and on the walking path are OB
HOLE 13- The road behind the trees on the Left is OB
HOLE 14- RD1(long tee and basket) RD2(Short tee and basket) No OB
HOLE 15- No OB
HOLE 16- OB long into the fairway of HOLE 17
HOLE 17- RD1(long tee and basket) plays to the basket on the left, OB Right on the fairway of HOLE
16, Drop Zone tee pad is on the Right along the rope boundary of the fairway of HOLE 16
RD2(short tee and basket) plays to the basket on the right, same OB rules apply.
HOLE 18- No OB, ROUND ONE plays to the Long basket
No OB, ROUND TWO plays to the Short basket
HOLE 19- OB walking path
HOLE 20- On or across the walking path on the Right side is OB
HOLE 21- On or across the path is OB, must play to the Right of the marked MANDO tree
HOLE 22- On or across path is OB, only one basket
HOLE 23- OB on or across path, OB Left on the fairway of HOLE 24
HOLE 24- OB Left on the fairway of HOLE 23
HOLE 25- OB Long on or across the path
HOLE 26- No OB
HOLE 27- OB on or across the path on Left of fairway

Good morning competitors,

Attached is the caddy guide for today's two round PDGA sanctioned C-tier tournament at Roland Park titled Nathan Longenecker Memorial. Online scoring will be done through PDGA.com/score. Password is Nathan. Please make sure to check live scoring or caddy guide for any questions regarding tee/basket. There are many different possible combinations at Akron. The first round will be baskets #1 to #18 all short except 14 Long to Long, 17 Long to Long, and 18 Long. The second round will be 10 to 27 all short.

Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 8:40 AM
Nathan's Toss will be at 8:40AM
Player's meeting will follow
Tee off around 9:15 AM

Walkups are not welcome. Please bring cash, PayPal, or Venmo as Central PA Disc Golf will be on-site. Hole assignments can be found here.

Thanks to Eric for organizing this tournament. It’s a beautiful way to honor and remember Nathan together. We miss him so much and wish he could be here to play with us. For those who didn’t know him, here's some background:

Nathan, his younger brother Jesse and I had played disc golf occasionally for several years, but like many others started playing a LOT during the pandemic. Nathan got his first MA1 win at the Ship Rock Silver Bells tournament Dec.20, 2020, beating now-local-legends Lucas Oberholtzer Hess and Nathan Johnson that day with a -4 round in the snow. His rating reached the 950s and was rising fast when he was suddenly diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer in February 2021 and died eight months later after a courageous journey with that horrible disease.

On the video tab of this tournament I posted an “in-the-bag” he sent to me and Jesse from college on October 29, 2020. It's a great memory of how much joy he got from disc golf. I also tried to post a short slow-mo of him throwing which inspired Eric’s disc design for the tournament, but it didn’t seem to work so I’ll put the link here: https://youtube.com/shorts/F96eIoiPCto
