We have been approved to hold a smaller scaled back version of this event on October 24 and 25th. An invite will be sent to all who were signed up for this event (wait list included) in the next couple weeks, and will be allowed a 1 month window to sign up for the smaller event. The window to claim your spot will close at the end of September before registration is open to all. So please keep an eye out for the email and sign up if interested. As mentioned, this will be a smaller scaled back ... more

Sorry everyone, but we held out as long as we could. We're not getting approval from the state parks so we have to cancel.
Try calling: 440-564-1195 the old website isn't being used any more and the new one doesn't appear to have the reservations on it. I know if you call they will tell you who to call or where to go to cancel.

Update: We are still waiting on the final word from the State Parks whether or not we will be able to hold the tournament. We are trying our hardest to make it happen. We have decided on a final decision date of July 6th. If we haven't got the go-ahead by then we will either cancel or reschedule for a later date. Sorry it's taking so long to figure all this out, i know many of you are traveling and/or have camping plans and need to know as soon as possible, but we're holding out as long as we can to avoid cancellation. Thanks for being patient!

As of right now, with the changes in PDGA rules regarding COVID, this event may end up being tee times with 1 round each day. We still have 2 months before the event, but I did want to mention the possibility of this happening. Layouts TBD if this is the case, but anticipate Reds to Longs for all for Round 1. More to come as we get more information regarding current rules and regulations. Let's hope that things return as much to normal before then so we can run this with the current listed format of 3 rounds over 2 days.
Been seeing several other events already scheduled running shotgun starts FWIW.

Seeing as how this year's Pun's Labyrinth sold out so quick, discussion has already started on how to grow this event to the next level, with even hopes of an eventual A-Tier in the near future. As many remember we tried a larger format a few years back that simply put did not run all that well. Granted there is different individuals now running the show, we want to do everything thing we can to avoid a repeat of that if we were to double the field size and make this event bigger. In o ... more
n the best case scenario... a second temp course nearby would be great for two day event, and two fields of 72. Can't wait for July.
1 day event with some divisions playing 2 rounds on Saturday and other divisions playing 2 rounds on Sunday / 144 player field / just an idea //

I am looking at the weekend for October 24 and 25 to hold a "Mini" Labyrinth event. PDGA sanctioning is a possibility. This event will be a 2 day, 1 round per day event. Details to come very soon. This event will not be set up to the scale of the normal event, as there may be limited player pack and lower cost to make it easy for the club to manage. Just putting it out there now for anybody who wants to mark their calendars for this. An email will be sent out to all who registere ... more

If anybody is interested, a random draw Blue to Longs scramble is in order for 1 PM tomorrow. $10 buy in per person ($20 per team). Let's pretend this event is still on!!!

How do I go about getting my refund?
Refunds have already been processed. They were sent through PayPal.
It looks like Festi paid for you. The registration has it listed with his email. So the refund went to him.

Anybody still planning on going out there and camping?
I'm considering trying to set up a scramble if people are still coming out this weekend. Details to come in a day or two.

By request of the TD, I have re-opened the Tournament Shop for Pun's IX 2020 artwork gear which is pretty much finalized... Please note some items run small, and you can add your PDGA# or name to the back of the shirts although this will increase the price. All proceeds will be donated to the FOP 501c3 non-profit organization. Contact me if you have questions, orders are printed and shipped by a print on demand company. Please note they may have some delays due to COVID restrictions which is why I'm making the shop live now: http://pundersondiscgolf.com/tournament-shop-2020/#!/

So if someone from the am side was to drop out will the #1 waitlisted person that is in the open field be let in even though the open field is capped at 16? Just curious

All formats have merit. To grow the event absolutely means more players. Lacking another course of comparable quality at no more than 45 minutes from each other, a temp golf course set up with clubhouse and practice carts available is worth looking for. The 45 min. Rule is in effect with a temp course set-up as well.
You need matched set of 20 championship level targets for a temp. course.
Your 10 anniversary next year gives the chance to ask now and do later. Keep it rolling!
J. Gary
Thanks for your input. We are starting conversation now so we can figure out what works best for us as a group who run the event and also for what keeps the players happy and engaged.

Just a reminder - if you know you are going to make it, DO NOT wait until the last minute to make camping, manor, or cabin reservations! July is a busy time for the park and they are usually FULL this time of year. Also, if you can get a group to go in on a cabin, it may be worth it if you aren't into rain, mosquitoes or packing a campsite up on Sunday! Manor also has restaurant, bar and both indoor and outdoor pools. **Please ask for Krissy or Megan if you call the manor and let them know ... more

Mike Herzog February 15, 2020 at 1:28am
this tournament is growing up to be a candidate for pro side/ am side...such a great course.
We tried that. We might consider it for year 10 next year.
Larry Bright Jr. February 15, 2020 at 1:19am
Don't be discouraged if you don't have a spot right now...every year 8-12 move in from the waitlist. So claim your spot now, even if it's waitlist. Those spots are awarded in the order they are listed from the registration time stamp!

Wow, that's a record sold out in under 14 minutes!!!!

Please realize we did all we can to make this happen. But with the current rise in cases of COVID in the state of Ohio, approval from the Ohio State Park system to hold a large event was impossible. With registration opening in February, we had no way to foresee this possibility, and it truly upsets all of us who really love this event to have to cancel.Refunds will be processed tomorrow for all who have registered and those on the waitlist. There is a possibility we may try to get in a small version of the event in the fall, so stay tuned.
