Hello Everyone!
I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for signing up for the 2023 Spring Fling Pro Day!
We are just 2 weeks away from the Spring Fling @ Birds Nest on Sunday, May 28th and I wanted to make sure a few details were covered with you all!
We will be playing Birds Nest Condor layout. Details for the layout are still being worked out and will be assessed this week and next for flooding. At this point, the tentative layout is now up and active on UDisc and I've attached the UDisc image of the map to this email.
A few notes on select holes (full notes will be sent next week):
Hole 1: Plays from hole 1 tee pad to hole 2 pin. The dry (or maybe wet) lake is OB. Marked rock circles will play as hazard. If the initial tee shot goes in the OB lake area, play moves to a drop zone. All subsequent throws play as normal OB rules.
Hole 6: Plays from normal hole 8 tee pad to a pin by the silo. Mando right of tall tree in middle of normal 8 fairway. Drop zone if mando missed.
Hole 7: Temp tee pad to short 9 position. This pad is currently marked.
Hole 16: Double island hole. Temp tee pad from bike path to island temp pin position. If tee shot does not land in bounds (either island), proceed to the drop zone located in the first island. All subsequent shots play with normal OB rules.
Hole 17: Temp tee pad on dirt road/path to normal hole 26 pin.
Temp baskets will not be in the ground until the day of the tournament, but we'll be marking the temp tee pads and basket locations within the next week or so.
Event Check in will run from 7:30am-8:30 am: If you fail to check in by 8:30am you will forfeit your spot to any potential waitlister on site.
Round 1 will start at 9 am sharp, and two minutes are called out at 8:58 am.
After the final card is submitted we will have a 1 hour lunch break, then start round 2.
Starting holes for round 1 will be posted on our PDGA event Page HERE Saturday the 27th by 8 pm, and again on this exact page with round 2 starting holes(Sorted by Score)
This year, first place winners of each division will win a custom trophy, with payouts for top finishers through PayPal. Payouts will be posted during the lunch hour on the check-in table, since that is when I will have final player counts and payout totals completely calculated.
Our friends at Disc Revolution will be on-site for your disc vending needs.
Here and Now Foods food truck has said they will be in the parking lot during lunch. I have heard great things about their burgers and other items, so please support them. We are not supplying lunch to you.
This is a PDGA B-Tier Event, all PDGA rules will be followed including those regarding alcohol consumption, marijuana use, and that you can not have a dog with you during the course of play. If you need any further clarification please visit the PDGA rules HERE or feel free to email me with questions.
Thank you all and I look forward to a great event!
