Good evening everyone - Just a few quick reminders...

Check in is from 7a-830a tomorrow. You must check in. Anyone who isn't checked or in line to check in by 830 will be removed and replaced from the waitlist.

Course notes
-- For Nest hole 10 (regular 8) there is NO mando. Please ignore the marked tree. That is for pro day.
-- When walking from Nest 7 to Nest 8, stay on the outside/south side of the fence. Do not cut through the field.

Scoring will be done via PDGA live scoring. Each card is required to have 2 score keepers:
Best option - Two players both doing PDGA live scoring. This is the best option because PDGA live scoring will alert you to discrepancies as you go. No more sorting out discrepancies at the end.
OK option - 1 player does PDGA live scoring, 1 player does UDisc. It's just more work for you... if you're into that.

The access code is SF22AM. Please do not log in more than 10 minutes prior to your tee time.

We have had quite a few players withdraw since registration closed... and several waitlisters who have failed to complete their registration. That means we have 6 openings for MA1/MA2 and 3 openings that can be filled by MA40, MA50, MA60, MA3 and MJ15.

First priority will be
1 - Players promoted from the waitlist in the last 24 hours, but didn't get a chance to complete registration before it closed
2 - Players who have not been promoted from the waitlist
3 - Anyone not registered, first come first served.

In short... if you're on the waitlist and you show up... Chances are very good you'll get in!

For those of you have withdrawn since registration closed...I moved you to a division called OUT. If your spot ends up being filled, you will get a refund. If your spot is not filled, I will contact you about getting a player pack. The OUT division is a place holder so we can process you later.

Happy Tuesday everyone -

The course layouts have been finalized and can be found in the pictures tab. We are turning Bird's Nest into 2 18 hole courses. To allow for practicing, we have flagged all temporary tee pads, pin placements, and drop zones

Thursday and Friday we will be putting up tee signs, marking hazards and tightening up the OB.

A few things worth noting:
Hazards will be in play for the following holes:
Perch #1 (Regular 1)
Perch #2 (Regular 17)
Perch #4 (Regular 14)
The rock circle hazards will be marked with brightly colored pinwheels so they are clearly visible. The pinwheels will not be added until Friday.

**The hazards will be defined as anything fully inside of the rock wall boundary defining the circle. The disc must be completely inside the rock circle and not touching any of the rocks defining the circle. The pinwheels will be inside* the hazard and are not safe. They are only for visual identification, not for defining boundaries. The rock circle boundary itself is safe. Remember, you do not get relief from hazard areas, whether you are safe or not.

Perch Hole 11 - This a new hole with a double island. All tee shots that do not land in bounds must go to the drop zone with a 1 stroke penalty (middle of the short island). All further shots are subject to normal OB rules. The islands are marked with flags now to provide a general idea of the island boundaries. We will tighten those up Thursday/Friday in final course prep.

It's Spring Fling week, and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for signing up. We have a big week ahead of us!
Joel and I are walking the course to move baskets and make sure the big storm didn't cause any layout issues (swamp expansions). We are planning to flag all of the temporary teepads and baskets tonight and will be sending out course maps tomorrow.
1- For those of you that have been promoted from the waitlist, you have 24 hours to complete your registration before we move on to the next waitlister. For those of you still on the waitlist. Please keep an eye on your emails this week!
2 - Our friends at Disc Revolution will be at Spring Fling this year for all of your plastic and apparel needs. They will also be facilitating AM payouts for top finishers.
3 - We will publish hole assignments on Friday. Registration will be from 7-830am on Saturday morning. Even though you will already know your hole assignment you must check in! We have 180 players, the earlier you check in... the happier the tournament staff will be! Seriously though... please don't wait until the last minute to check in. If you aren't checked in (or in line for check in) by 830, we will give your spot to day-of waitlisters present.
3 - Please be aware... we are following PDGA guidelines for late withdrawls:Drops within 14 days of the event will be subject to a $10 fee, the remainder of your refund is subject to your spot being filled in this event.

Hi Josh, I was out checking out the new holes yesterday and noticed a decent sized pile of barbed wire about 40ft behind Nest hole 8's tee pad. Its not in play on any holes, but I could see someone absent mindedly walking into it while waiting to tee off. Maybe worth putting some flags or tape around if you have some extra.

Josh and I have been working on the courses this week, and want to provide a slightly updated map.

There are no changes to the layout, but we wanted to clarify the hole descriptions based on the hole numbers as they are noted on the course signs especially in the Perch layout. This should eliminate any confusion. Please find the updated maps attached.
