These initial numbers will be the same numbers used for each member at our End-of-the-Year raffle. Details on that will be posted later this week. This way, if any tags get lost or move outside this group, we can have something to ensure all members have a chance at a prize.

As for the tags, there are no set rules on how and if you use them. They generally serve as bragging rights, and can be used during competitive rounds at the course when players have a tag. We will also ask at the start of all of our leagues and tournaments to see if players would like to put there's on the line. So if you play an event or round out our way and want to try to defend or move up, please do so. There will also most likely be a bonus for the lowest tag number present at our Year End event. With that being said, the lowest 5 tags must be documented in play at least once during an organized event (league or tournament) at the course throughout the season. Since I know the top 5 make a good bit of events at Pundy, this shouldn't be an issue.

Keep an eye out for the post to come later this week about the Year End event and Raffle. Once I get the final numbers crunched and know what type of prizes we can get, I will post and most likely create an event. More to come on that ASAP.

A couple folks are owed PayPal payouts from yesterday and those should be sent tonight. I'll also be arranging times to deliver and distribute people's membership goodies over the next week. So if you are one of those people, keep an eye out for a message or text or some other form of communication.

Rain should be out of the area before the Bag Tag round starts. It appears after 11 or 12, it will be clear, but cool. The course conditions have improved since earlier in the week, but with some rain coming tonight, I'm sure the mud will still be a factor in the usual areas. So please be prepared for the conditions.

Also, a good bit of individuals still owe for the customization of their shirts. Cash or PayPal will be accepted for payment. I'm not going to put the list up here. You should know who you are. But please be prepared to pay what you owe.

In the instance you are not going to make it and want me to give you items to someone else, please communicate that to me via post here or by message. That way there is no confusion.

Also, I will have a few CTPs for the Singles Bag Tag round tomorrow. Right now I have 3 total and expect them to be on holes close to the parking lot like holes 12, 13,14, or 17. These have been donated by the club as a "Thank You" for your support this year.

As mentioned, I will not be playing in the optional doubles round after. I will provide scorecards to the group, but that will be it. Format, layout, and whatnot can be determined by the players who decide to stick around for this part of the event.

Lastly, once I get a finalized tally of all purchased memberships, I will post details about the end-of-the-year raffle for our club members. All club members who have purchased memberships, regardless of tier, all get an entry. The raffle will most likely be based on initial bag tag numbers, as they may change or get lost throughout the years and finding out current numbers would be painstaking. But more details to come on that once all bag tag numbers have been assigned. But expect a minimum of 1 basket, a precision basket, and disc golf bag to be included in the raffle.

Just a reminder...the Bag Tag Membership Event on Saturday is OPTIONAL. But we will be using scores to determine who gets what Bag Tag to start the season.

The lowest score on the day will get the #1 bag tag, with the remainder of bag tags going in order of lowest score (2nd gets #2, 3rd gets #3, etc.). Layout and Tie Breakers have been already posted in the "sticky" post below. Layout and OB sheets will also be provided the day of the event.

The round will be a $5 entry and optional $1 ace fund with A and B divisions being used for payouts. Bag Tags will be distributed as a whole based on all scores in A and B divisions. With a short layout being played, it is a very good possibility a B division player walks away with the #1 tag. Payouts will be 100% of entries on the day, with payouts to the top 1/3 in each division. Ace fund will be thrown off for if no ace is hit, with Hole 13 Red Tee being the CTP in play if this happens. After tags are distributed after the round, there will be an optional Doubles Round for anybody interested. I cannot make this round myself, but will provided scorecards and get everybody rolling for it before I leave.

I will help determine A and B division splits. This will be weighted on course frequency and skill level. If it is your home course, you should be playing A division, especially with a short layout. And nobody wants to be called a bagger, so play where you think you have a fair chance to compete, not win.

In the instance you are not able to play the round or will only be stopping up for your membership goodies, your bag tag will be provided at a later date so that we can determine what players get what tag number from this event. I have yet to determine how the rest of these tags will be assigned. But I will most likely go with a time stamp from the registration payment to determine the remaining order. I will find a way to get your tag to you ASAP once this occurs. We will have plenty of options and ways to get you your tag with the official DG season underway and our own leagues and events starting very soon. So if you are only stopping up for your membership items, your bag tag will be provided at a later date. All Initial Bag Tag #s will be posted by Monday and we will then determine best route to distribute the assigned to tags to those who need them.

I will also bring some discs for sale for anybody interested. As of right now, I plan on bringing a couple of bins each of Discraft, MVP, Innova, and Prodigy. If there is anything specific you want, please let me know so I can be sure to bring it if we have it.

Format for Club Membership Event Bag Tag round on 4/16/22:

27 Hole Layout Singles Round
$5 entry, $2 ace fund (optional)
A/B Pool split for divisions and payouts
Payouts to top 1/3 of each A and B Pools of 100% of entry fees
Ace fund throw off will be on Hole 13 Red Tee for 100% of entries

Lowest raw score will get the lowest bag tag. In the case of a tie the following will be used to break ties for both bag tag distribution and event payouts:
1. Most Aces
2. Most Birdies
3. Least Bogeys+ (double bogey, etc.)
4. Least Bogeys (single bogey)
5. Least OBs
6. Throw Off

If 2 players are playing for the same tag and prefer to throw playoff holes, that is their decision. But if it is my call on who gets what tag, this will be the route I would go.

The 27 Hole Layout is below:

For clarification, the A pins are the pins on 2, 3, 6, 16, and 18 that are UNPLAYABLE from the red tees and generally reside somewhere near the red tees and would not make sense as disc golf shots with the normal flow of the course.

OB's will be decided based on course conditions and will incur the standard 1 stroke penalty and rethrow per PGDA rules. Par is 81 as every hole on this layout is a par 3.

We have 60 bag tags and 48 members. If anybody is specific to numbers 48-60 and would like them outright, please let me know. I will be more than happy to oblige.

For players who are not present, I will go by order of registration (timestamp) and give them a number going from earliest (#1) on up. Those numbers will then be used in a random number generator to determine who gets what number from those that remain after the event. Or I'll flip some coins. We'll see ;)

I'd like to propose the following format for the Club Membership Event on 4/16/22:

Doubles format using COMBINED SCORE to determine winners of the rounds
- raw scores will be used to determine tag # for each player present with the lowest raw score getting tag #1
- $5 buy-in per player with random draw to determine partners (A/B pool if possible)
- $2 ace fund buy in with throw off if no ace hit (throw off one Hole #13 Red Tee)
- layouts to be either Reds to Longs, Reds to Shorts, or 27 hole layout

Let me know your thoughts. I don't think I have time to commit too 2 full rounds that day. My thoughts are to have people come pick up their membership items between 10 - 11 with the Doubles Round starting at 11:15. This should get the round completed around 2. Payouts and bag tag assignments should be done by 3 if that is the way we go.

I am looking for suggestions on round format for this event. I have seen some clubs run a singles round and use that to hand out tags. Then a doubles event follows using the tags to determine teams. I like this idea, but makes it a two round day. If anybody has any suggestions for how to make this one round and still be able to distinguish tag distribution, please let me know. I'd also like to use the 27 hole layout for this if we do go one round, be it singles or doubles.

Invites have been sent out to all for the Membership Cookout scheduled for 9/25/22. Hopefully you have gotten them. If not, the event link is below. We will be having a cookout or pizza (TBD), followed by a raffle for the member prizes that includes some baskets and other goodies. Registration for the event is set up as free so we can get a headcount for food planning. Please let us know if you will be making it.

Afterwards, and optional Random Draw Scramble may be planned for any interested.

Sorry for the delay folks. Been a stressful and busy couple of weeks. I'm chipping away at getting people their stuff and should be at Monday Night Scrambles tomorrow at Sims and will also have them Tuesday for our first league night of Tuesdays With Pundy.

So at a final tally of 52 total memberships, the club has been able cover insurance for some bonus events this year, including the O9 Match Play that was run today, and some other stuff you'll see popping up on the calendar in the coming weeks. This will also include the return of our Monthly Glow League and a Glow BYOP Doubles Tournament at the end of the season. We also have a cash surplus for this that we are going to put back into the members hands with an end-of-the-year raffle. My thoughts are a Random Draw Doubles event with a Cookout that will occur sometime in September or October. At this event, we will also be raffling off prizes for the club members with the profits raised with this inaugural membership. As of right now, the prizes will include:

2 MVP Pro Baskets
1 MVP Precision Basket
1 MVP Voyager Bag
1 Disc Golf Retriever
1 Amateur Entry into a 2023 PDGA Sanctioned Event at Punderson

More prizes may be added of we can get some donations or sponsorship opportunities this year.

Also, Bag Tags can be sued any which way you would like. They can be put up at the course or round of choosing. We will be asking for them before any events at Punderson for the 2022 season for anybody interested. This includes all Tuesdays With Pundy league rounds and our PDGA sanctioned events. They will not be asked for during doubles events, but can be done so at the players' discretion if decided upon. Your initial bag tag numbers will serve as raffle numbers for the end of the year. I'm also planning a little something for the person with the top tag # this year that has been documented as defended at a Punderson event in 2022 at least once. This means you can't get the #1 tag and not defend it and get a prize. Hint Hin.

If I don't reach out to you by weeks end about player pack delivery options, please reach out to me here via message. My workweeks are maddening and now that tourneys have started weekends are just as busy. But I know have a break until 5/28 for tournaments I'm playing, so I'll have time on the weekends to meet up or do what needs to be done to get you your goodies.
