The Northern Ontario Disc Golf Championship
With courses equally breathtaking as they are challenging, Thunder Bay has been quietly developing into Ontario's hidden disc golf treasure. With the completion of the mammoth course at Dragon Hills (co-designed by Cale Leiviska), and support from the stunning Bayview and Birch Point courses, Thunder Bay was ready to take a step-forward and represent the true north strong and free with the Northern Ontario Disc Golf Championship.
A PDGA event with much more than the minimum added. Sponsorship support from Dragon Hills, Sleeping Giant Brewing, The Sal, as well as C&M Concrete and other gracious sponsors has allowed us the freedom to host a top-tier event to represent the massive northern region of our great province. All players will be provided with power carts for their Dragon Hills rounds as well as lunch. Amateur players will receive a NOC players pack as well as prizing and trophies for finishing in the top spots within their division.
All players are welcomed to the now infamous Saturday evening player's party with food and drinks courtesy of the event. Bring your bathing suit and putter as there'll be a pool and many of the side games for prizes you saw last year (disc pong!)
Questions or comments? Please feel free to get in touch.
Return flights (for those interested) are affordable (via Porter, Air Canada and WestJet) and group accommodations are available. Please inquire further if you'd like to know more.
