a guys dog went through the ice on lake fenton yesterday and he went through trying to save her, they are both ok. my lake is down around 2-3 inches right now. been a real bad year for ice and it seems to be getting worse. its a bummer because not only was i lookin forward to this tourney for a while but im an avid ice fisherman. i hate to be a downer but it aint lookin good.

Brian, so it's obviously too close to make a call now, but what is the plan for thin ice? Nine baskets/18 tees around the lake? Trying to clear my schedule to make it to this one, it sounds cool. The 10 day forecast is not good, thawing temps every day until then....with nighttime temps barely below freezing. Just wondering if there is a back up plan, or would it just be canceled/postponed?

ive been out on my lake in ortonville ice fishing and disc golfing a lot lately and the ice is right around 5 inches. there are a couple bad spots though that really arent safe at all. my fiances parents live out there just across the cove from navistars and they said there are some bad spots out there too. the next five days are gonna be very bad if the forecast holds up. with temps rarely dropping below freezing and some rain i wouldnt be shocked if there was some open water here and there by next weekend. hopefully it all works out though...
