Anyone still wanting to register for the Senior Olympics, I just spoke with Jay at the National S O and he is extending registration because disc golf is a demonstration sport this year. To register, you have to call Jay at 225-706-5105. He said you can register for at least another week or more. Don't wait and get left out of this unique opportunity!

Larry, At the latest count, there are a little over 50 players registered. Registration ends May 1. I doubt that we will exceed 72 , so I don't see us needing both courses at the same time. In that case, we would go with the original schedule og Parma on Saturday and Sims on Sunday.
Mike, Thanks for volunteering. I am not sure what is going on with the NSG website. I had the same problem. After registration closes May 1st, we'll know how big the field will be. After that we'll have another planning meeting at work out the rest of the details.

According to the schedule, we're playing Parma the first day, and Euclid the second day. Is this etched in stone? It might make a difference where I get a hotel room... or rooms! Thanks!

I signed up as a voulenteer but do not see a disc golf section. Any help would be great.
Thanks for sharing. May 1st is the last day to register for the Senior gams. It's an ALL AMATURE compitition coming here to the Cleveland area. Playing two courses. Parma and Euclid.
Kind of all amatuer event. I believe the wording was "not making your living from" playing. Which at this level, pretty much means anyone.

As of March 1st there were 37 registered. I should be getting an update in the next week for March registrations. We don't get a breakdown but if it runs like the Ohio Senior Games and the US Masters, it will be top heavy from younger to older divisions.

Bill, Eric, or anyone else - do you have any kind of breakdown on the number of registrants (by age group) so far? Just curious...
I've got nothing. I don't think we were getting any kind of numbers until May. Bill might have an actual answer though.

Update on NSG. This will be a PDGA 'XC' tier sanctioned event... trophy only.
The definition for a 'pro player' for the NSG is someone who makes enough money from their winning to support themselves. Disc golf is different from most sports in that there is not enough money in our events for anyone to support themselves The very top players barely win enough to support their disc golf habit.
If we get sufficient turnout, disc golf could be given full sport status. At th ...
